  1. It all boils down to those numpties at the FA. Their first choice as manager, Scolari was recognised as one of the worlds best coaches but also a bit of a maverick. They ( rather bravely) stuck their necks out to try and get their man but made a complete balls up of the appointment. So logically what is the next move? Seek out another world renowned coach? No, they ludicrously change tack completely and appoint an average coach but a so called safe bet because he's an insider. It's laughable and if England qualify for 2008 I'll be amazed.
  2. You been boozing Drog? 1. Pederson to McCarthy. 2. Second ( and pivotal!) goal at Wigan.
  3. Next up a move for Duffer? Then we've tried to bring all 3 crown jewels back........
  4. I think this bit about exiles returning for Christmas is probably more relevant to Blackburn Rovers than for any other Premier League club. Blackburn is a particularly poor town and people seem to move in their droves after finishing education. There are not many of my school year left in the area but many come home to visit family at Christmas. The population of Blackburn has hardly changed over decades so logically, with a large immigrant population, an equal number of the indigenous people must live elsewhere.
  5. I went in to buy some Christmas presents and was astonished at how cheap and nasty it was. It's as though the Rovers gear is an afterthought and the quality of the rest of the merchandise is reminiscent of Oobidoo. Why are the club paying two executives obscenely high wages when most business activities are farmed out...........and even when that's done the result is so embarrassing? Needless to say I purchased nothing.
  6. I'll bet the odious little sh*t Kenyon contributes some really helpful and constructive input..................
  7. I'm finding it difficult to find any definitive travel arrangements from Amsterdam to the ground. It's straightforward from A'dam Central to R'dam central stations, but from there is it better (and safer) to change trains to Stadion station, or better to take the tram? I've heard that it is even possible to bypass R'dam Central by using the train via Den Hague. Could any of our Dutch friends provide any advice? I've been to Feyenoord three times before and there was trouble everytime ( including the Dutch Cup final, versus Den Bosch when the game was abandoned 5 minutes before the end due to a pitch invasion!) so I'd like to get the travel arrangements sorted.
  8. Well, from what I saw Neill was pretty poor, particularly in the first half when he didn't seem to get anywhere near Pennant, several passes also went astray . Fair enough, I didn't realise he'd got off a long haul flight but he didn't enhance his chances of a Liverpool contract.
  9. One option. Get to Preston and take the train to Kirkdale via Ormskirk. ( You have to change to Merseyrail at Ormskirk but the train is waiting for you straightaway). 15 minute walk to Anfield with a few boozers on the way. No problem at all with it being ' rough'.
  10. I agree with you BP. I have spoke to three people that rang for children's tickets and didn't buy because of the price.
  11. Fair enough and I agree with you to a certain extent. However the pricing structure has reached tipping point so that the extra £ 6 will have a negative effect on revenue. Many Evertonians will refuse to pay this price and I will be astounded if there are 5000 of them on the night. As for home fans, well plenty of Blackburnians need little excuse for a miserable old moan and a night in the pub whilst claiming the moral high ground.
  12. I've talked to a few Toffee Men who are refusing to make the trip.....ones that wouldn't think of missing Ewood in the past. Apparently this is a big talking point amongst their fans. Good on them I say, they should vote with their feet if they feel they're being ripped off. As for which one of Rovers extortionately paid executives thought this one up, well spend a bit less time on the golf course and more researching your customers needs. Idiots!
  13. If any of the big Premier League jobs came up such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal or United, their respective boards would not even countenance McClaran for the job. Bl**dy Hell, I bet even Newcastle didn't have him anywhere near their shortlist! Yet the ever incompetant FA bumble along and eventually appoint him to one of the most prestigious jobs in the world game. It's enough to make you weep!
  14. I haven't received a renewal pack despite having a season ticket for decades and just assumed that it was lost in the post, however, today I have spoken to four season ticket holders who have also not received the packs. AnywayI renewed mine today by ringing up because the internet booking site would not accept my customer number for some reason. I don't want to sound like a moaner but these errors are very amateurish.
  15. If the Pie Eaters average 18,000 over their last 3 games, that will be about on trend for the opposition they face. Rovers will then have to average 21,175 against Wigan, Chelski, Pool and Citeh.............I reckon Gav will win the bet.
  16. Too true Gull. How many times do we have comments on attendance threads about attracting the Asian population to Ewood Park?Five minutes of these brain dead morons chants can wipe out years of effort put in by BRFC.And before any of the yes but, yes but crowd start, chants about Paki bashing should nauseate decent people of any political persuasion. .
  17. Well I must have watched a different game Philip. At Old Trafford it looked like an unbelievably fortuitous, mishit, slice off the top of his boot............my opinion hasn't changed after seeing it on TV.
  18. I've been listening to the commentary on Newcastle FM where they've been taking the ###### out of Kuqi non stop.............off his shoulder, sweet!
  19. I went down to the ticket office at 4.30 today for some Arse tickets ( only 200 of those left !) and asked about City tickets for my pal, lo and behold they sold me two. They said they had got some more..........so get on the blower in the morning. I'm a bit p1ssed off because I've bought one in the City end after being told there was no chance of anymore being sent from Manchestoh.
  20. The ticket office say there won't be an increased allocation but is there any mileage in contacting someone with more clout. There seems to be a tremendous demand for more tickets. Does anyone have John Williams or Tom Finn's email address?
  21. Commenting on singing nonsensical songs is hardly PC, BRFC4EVA. Our support yesterday was good but we don't have to come across as thick.
  22. The exact same thought crossed my mind yesterday Bassa. I'd spent all week looking forward to having a go at the Scouse gits ( there's a big domestic agenda ) only for that incompetant pr*ck to ruin it. We then spend 60 minutes watching our team trying to run down the clock having paid £32 for the privilege. It happens far to often. Very angry!
