I`m with Rev on this one. Did you also realise that on 3 occasions in the 2nd half we had 11 England players in our own box to defend set pieces. There was a great shot of all 10 out field players all in a line in our own box. And people think we are going to win this thing?

The midfield isn`t a problem, its THE problem. We have one of if not the best midfields in the world and every time our defence had the ball they lumped it over the midfield. Every time the ball rolled invitingly out of the opponents penalty area and you just waited for Gerrard to come and blast it in to the top corner he was in the centre circle. The midfield could not pick out Owens runs and play the killer ball as it had sailed over them already. Cue Owen off and looking poor. It was bloody shocking. its not rocket science is it? Either J. Cole or Frank are going to have to make way for a holding player so we can tell our Stevie to go play his football.

Now I`m no expert but 1: I was under the impression that a broken bone healed stronger than it originally was 2: According to independant experts, it is fully healed. So, the chances of it are breaking are only at the same odds as anyone elses. Or am I wrong

Rev, its just one of the two. The guy is a complete muppet who can only get a lively phone in going by making the ridiculous statements you pointed out and then defending them to a point of no return no matter how good the response. I hate diving. There is far to much of it these days. However, if England were 2-0 down in the final to the Argies due to a dive and a handball, how many of us will be shouting at Owen to win / earn a couple of penalties? It boils down to trying to win fairly and putting ourselves at a disadvantage to the other teams who will try every trick in the book or lowering the standards and playing on a level playing field. Not easy.

Has it occured to anyone that if Chelsea keep purchasing players just to loan them back out, when Chelsea play the teams their players are at then that player can not play. Therefore Chelsea get to play a weakened side more often than not. Where do you draw the line? Is there a rule on how many players one team can loan out or could Chelsea in theory end up owning half the players in the league?

Sven has not created the team. These players have fallen in to his lap due to the work put in by club managers. He is in the right place at the right time and any one of us could pick the team. The rest is about motivation where he falls down big time and then tactics. England v 10 man Brazil anyone? Can`t wait till the slimey git goes. As for the new gaffer, Pearce, Curbishley, Allardyce are all used to scapping away with average players using the appropriate tactics. Could they adapt to working with world class players and changing the approach they have been used to tactic wise overnight. McLaren is in a similar boat at Boro but has been on board with England so knows the ropes but still does not fill me with confidence. I would love O`neill to do it but he seems tied up with family commitments. Its a toughie. Allardyce.
