  1. He has more money too. They've spent £40m on this promotion bid.
  2. Wait, Brereton-Diaz is often "playing out of position"? Tell me you don't want Blackburn Rovers without telling me you don't watch Blackburn Rovers. He gets bullied playing centrally.
  3. Any chance we can convince Villareal to cough up a few bob to get Brereton-Diaz over early? He's missed at least 3 absolute sitters since the World Cup. The one today was, once again, absolutely criminal and would have put the game to bed.
  4. Are these the same stewards that didn't even flinch when the pitch invader ran onto the pitch from the Jack Walker Stand, ran the width of the pitch and then escaped down the side of the Blackburn End?
  5. Essentially he's too cocky. He's much, much better than Clarkson, for example, but he makes a lot of basic mistakes (like the one for Birmingham's first goal today - that's a suicide ball) and doesn't seem to be learning from them.
  6. Just seen the highlights and they reaffirm my belief that Kaminski should have saved both their goals. Hate to say it, but it's time for Pears to start a match - Kaminksi has become a liability.
  7. He should try cutting out his own errors first, before covering those of others. He was bullied all game today.
  8. Might be time for a new GK, lads. This one is letting every shot on target in.
  9. I assume that's why Mowbray was let go - he alienated players. Brereton-Diaz's head has been turned for a while, not sure what JDT and Broughton could do about that.
  10. You might want to remove Sheffield United from your list seeing as they're being handed a transfer ban for failing to pay fees they owe.
  11. This is a chance to bring another £120k into the club. Yes it's a shame that ex-Premier League winners should have to look at a cup run to bring additional funds in, but here we are. That's the signing bonus of a good FA in the summer / the transfer fee for someone with 6 months left on their contract.
  12. It's why Broughton and JDT are fighting with one hand tied behind their back - this latest news is just adding a gunshot wound to the mix. It's all self inflicted.
  13. I was about to be reactionary and say I'll boo him for this, but he never returned from the World Cup break so I won't get the opportunity to.
  14. They've just sold Gordon for £40m, so that's their transfer budget sorted for the Championship. They'll piss the league.
  15. #thankyouMowbray Spent £5m on a striker who he then put out wide cos he realised he had the first touch of a cart horse - and then extended his contract when our wage bill is clearly ridiculously tight. The gift that keeps on giving.
  16. The Comms / PR / Marketing team (whatever they're called at Rovers) will have no idea who's coming in. They'll know about an hour beforehand when someone from the operations side says "get down to Brockhall and photograph this new signing".
  17. Khadra doesn't play for us and has never been coached by JDT, so he's irrelevant to this discussion. Hedges has been a victim of his own success / his teammate's failings. He's been shoehorned into the side in a few positions (including RWB) because he's one of the few players on the books that can receive a ball in tight spaces, retain possession and then either pick a pass or beat a man. He's put in plenty of crosses cutting inside from the right - Brereton-Diaz's head is just in Spain so he's missed most of them and Gallagher wouldn't know where the goal is if you gave him a map. Dolan has played mostly as a Pressing Forward (a #9) this season and has really cut down on his pointless dribbling. So, no, I don't think Thomas indicates a change in our style of play. He's an extra option for that front 4 - one that brings a different dimension to what we currently have. Set pieces are also very important, just ask our lord and savior Sam Allardyce.
