  1. We had a Chilean superstar for 18 months and did nothing with it. I wouldn't worry about the marketing with these guys in charge.
  2. I've just realised the Sigurdsson goal was almost a carbon copy of the Hedges goal at Norwich - ball played in to Sigurdsson / Hedges in the middle of the field on the break, they lay it off to Gueye who carries it upfield and then puts them through for the goal.
  3. I don't think Gueye's shooting is good enough for the Prem, but he causes chaos in their back line when he comes on. A real gem of a find.
  4. He was in twice with better passes (both, ironically, by Dolan) and nearly nicked in at the far post from the Wiemann flick on. I think he's like Watkins as a #9 - will run the channels all day, but you can't really play it up to him and expect him to hold it up. If we surrounded him with pace he'd look much better as the #9 because his positioning is exceptional (for this level).
  5. Out of him and Rushworth I'd much prefer Rushworth. It's pathetic we're dealing in loans though. Absolutely criminal.
  6. They've sold a few of their better players this summer - but yeah, they need to just look ten miles down the road to see a light squad.
  7. The problem with Pears is that he has zero credit in the bank - he's very much in the red - so when he concedes a shot from 35 yards out you just shrug your shoulders and say "yeah maybe a better GK saves it, but it's not technically a mistake".
  8. I think Eustace sees the writing on the wall and realises he's not going to get what we clearly need.
  9. To be fair if the recruitment team can pull out more gems like Yuki and Gueye, Eustace will simply have to get back in his box.
  10. If we don't bring reinforcements in quickly it's getting to the point where you have to start both of them.
  11. He provides the team with a focal point and an outlet. The ball sticks to him, he wins headers and lets the CBs know they're in a game. Another assist for him today too.
  12. Strangely the complete opposite of JDT - despite JDT being a hard task master (and improving several players as footballers) and Eustace appearing to be a bit more 'pally' with the players. We never came from behind under JDT and our subs often did nothing.
  13. He's very poor defensively and he's slow, which is why we should play him as a #10 behind Gueye.
  14. That's the Championship for many of the teams in it. There's very few dominant teams that boss games from whistle to whistle. We've scrapped to 7 points - we didn't beat any of the promoted sides last year and we've already beaten two of them. Yes, we need significant reinforcements, but it's a credible performance today.
  15. We couldn't afford his wages anyway - we were asking for a loan and for them to contribute to his wages. Proper pauper stuff.
  16. I've never seen a team throw their GK up for a corner 3 games into the season. Reckon Oxford were targeting points today? Seems like it.
  17. I thought they wanted rid and were forcing him out - why is he playing?
  18. We just have no threat to run past people out wide.
  19. I hate to say it, but Travis has been very poor today.
  20. He should be a squad player - can play across the line (LW / AMC / RW) but he's not good enough (or ever fit enough) to be a starter.
  21. LOL they're just shooting on site now. Good management.
  22. Sigurdsson should be next in line for the #10 role. This is Dolan's third game this season there and he's not done enough to nail down the position.
  23. He got beaten from about 35 yards out. Another game without a clean sheet. To be fair if I was the opposition manager I'd just tell my players to shoot on sight - he lets most of them in.
