  1. LOL that's atrocious from Weimann.
  2. As I said, a lot of people around me in the Jack Walker were there because they hate Burnley.
  3. Considering he's not a CF it's a bold choice.
  4. The only counter to that - we've lost two games recently where he's started ACD and clearly gone for the win. The Dolan / Hedges defensive solidity seems to work at the moment.
  5. You'd hope so, or else he'd be on the news right now.
  6. Weimann at #9. Good lord. I'm glad I'm playing 5 a side tonight instead.
  7. Personally I'm a big fan of a 3-5-2. Three big, athletic CBs and two big, athletic CFs. It's murder at set pieces.
  8. I'm much more interested in this than Bamford, Wallace, Asante-Thomas.
  9. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
  10. What's behind door number three?
  11. Yes because JRC, Buckley and Weimann all look like they're running in treacle.
  12. He's got to this level because he's 6'5", athletic and aggressive. He wins headers, he boxes out defenders and he's a good enough footballer to pass to his teammates. You can finesse your way out of this league, but nobody likes playing against a bigger, better athlete than you - which is what he is for 90% of Championship CBs.
  13. He's 5'8" so I assume he's being looked at as a winger.
  14. On a very limited budget we need players that are going to improve our team in the current formation we play. I don't want to shoehorn players in because they can score goals i.e. Aasgard on the LW. I want a fast LW/RW who will open up a myriad of options to us in attack. Otherwise you're essentially just putting 'better' players (is Aasgard more of a goal scorer than Weimann?) in the same situations - someone out of position being asked to convert limited chances because the team as a whole has to play a certain way due to the physical limitations of the attack.
  15. Honestly that seems like a fee we could pay, but it'd be lauded as a 'massive' transfer fee.
  16. As much as I like Leonard's potential, we looked much better when Gueye came on. The ball actually stuck upfront. He's simply not physical or canny enough at the moment to lead the line in the Championship.
  17. Where does Aasgard play in our system? Another slow wide player? We need pace.
  18. Well that style of play has Forest 2nd in the Premier League. It can be very successful, but you need FAR more pace than we have.
  19. Honestly not the type of player you'd want to be saddled with in the Premier League.
  20. 'Keeping our powder dry' for our big CF signing. £1.75m on an out-of-favour bloke from Coventry would pretty much tick all those boxes. We have a L1 budget.
  21. Broughton wanted Thomas-Asante when he was at Salford. So if this is true we've clearly just dusted off an old list in the recruitment office.
  22. It's amazing Leicester have made a PROFIT on Cannon. Bought him for £8m, just to have him, never played him, loaned him out a few times and now are making £5m+ whatever loan fees they've banked for him. Bonkers.
  23. Do you ever watch our lot warm up at Ewood? Markanday was legit the best finisher on the team, by quite a margin (even better than Szmodics in that shooting drill). The rest are so hit and miss, it's no wonder we struggle to score goals.
  24. Is that Leaburn fella still doing ok at Charlton? I'd go in for him for like £500k.
