  1. * with two buttons and a bottle top.
  2. Fingers crossed we can get £250k for him. Goal is here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68136731
  3. The Sweden job was just his quickest route out of this circus without owing the Venky's 18 months of his contract.
  4. Maybe you should buy a ticket and get a chant going.
  5. I think the problem was: Hedges - injured for most of the season Hyam - injured for a large chunk of the season Dolan - injured for a large chunk of the season Gallagher - injured for most of the season JRC - injured for a large chunk of the season You only need to look at the bench to see how threadbare the squad is. We can't afford to have 5+ starters out injured (regardless of whether you think they're quality players). JDT did a great job last year, wasn't backed in the summer and couldn't overcome a raft of injuries this year. Our players were dead on their feet during December with 2 matches a week and nobody he trusted to bring off the bench.
  6. The captain is soft. He's not a leader.
  7. I think he's going to go on to have a very successful career. He clearly needs to be less stubborn and, quite frankly, I think his QPR team selection was him daring the board to sack him.
  8. There'll be a lone tweet announcing his departure, wishing him well. We don't do PR or Communications.
  9. Half of the squad has been changed, but we've let experienced quality leave and replaced it with Academy kids and players bought for peanuts. I'm not saying JDT and Broughton are saints, but Mowbray was allowed to spend £7m on Brereton-Diaz and £5m on Gallagher - only to shift both out wide because their second touch was a tackle. If Eustace is pragmatic he'll go to 5 at the back to grind out enough results to survive as we have an abundance of CBs, very few quality CMs (I think Tronstad is clearly better than Travis and Buckley btw) and no wingers. The kicker would be if the Venky's magically open the purse strings again in the summer having run off a very talented manager - we've been through this cycle before.
  10. An inexperienced manager desperate for a job.
  11. Delighted with that. Took a chance on a bloke that had succeeded in L1 for free. It didn't work out and we washed our face within 6 months.
  12. Sylvester has played a blinder - clicking save rather than submit was literally the only way he could f' up this transfer. I bet Broughton was breathing down his neck for the entire day. I'm genuinely impressed with his ingenuity in sabotaging this deal. As for McGuire - College is 4 years in the USA. He's clearly enjoyed every year of it and graduated with his degree before trying his hand as a professional. If it's anything like the NFL the youngest he could be, having gone to College, is 20, so he's not that far behind the curve and evidently he's hit the ground running.
  13. So just to be clear, the man that should have been potted 12 months ago (as the only person that could submit the paperwork that was in the building and failed to notice multiple errors) has been allowed to remain in post and mess up again?
  14. Yep, that'll solve the problem.
  15. Imagine playing a Raumdeuter in this league of cloggers. 🤣
  16. We wouldn't pay a £500k loan fee despite bringing in £24m+ in transfers this year - of course they're going to make JDT pay to get out of his contract.
  17. With a sliver of the same investment.
  18. Yeah that's poor negotiation on Broughton's part.
  19. You mean their lawyers are laughing at another nice, easy pay day.
  20. I heard a similar conversation when I was leaving the Jack Walker on Saturday. I was too dejected to slap them both in the face.
  21. So the Director of Football has generated £22m in transfer fees this season and been allowed to spend £1.2m... and you think he's the problem? Ok.
  22. So a loan-to-buy (with a multi-million £ commitment) has failed to go through twice in twelve months when we've been suffering under financial problems due to the Venky's tax fraud... and you don't think someone at the club is deliberately sabotaging deals? Ok. If I had to guess how this went down - Broughton set up the original transfer for McGuire. It got to Pune and they said "no, you can't spend any of the Wharton money". He then tries to rescue the deal (and get around that stipulation) with a loan-to-buy for the summer and generates the loan fee by selling Ennis. Obviously then someone in India says "no", but it's too late and the deal is already in motion... so they have to sabotage the paperwork AGAIN. I don't think we paid a loan fee for the French CB or Ayari. We're literally dealing exclusively in freebies and free loans. The Venkys do not know if the Indian government will ever let them put any money in again - that Wharton transfer fee is going to be swallowed up in running costs as we all predicted.
  23. Well I'm glad you've fallen for Waggot's bullshit hook, line and sinker.
  24. We also brought in 3 CBs in January, only to watch our stubborn manager go away from the 5 at the back formation he'd used the last 2 matches to revert to the 4-2-3-1 with the bonkers advanced WBs. I like JDT, but he was clearly making a point against QPR. Sadly for us it backfired - JDT will swan off to another club so he won't feel the pain of the relegation his ego is sleepwalking us towards.
