I think the problem was: Hedges - injured for most of the season Hyam - injured for a large chunk of the season Dolan - injured for a large chunk of the season Gallagher - injured for most of the season JRC - injured for a large chunk of the season You only need to look at the bench to see how threadbare the squad is. We can't afford to have 5+ starters out injured (regardless of whether you think they're quality players). JDT did a great job last year, wasn't backed in the summer and couldn't overcome a raft of injuries this year. Our players were dead on their feet during December with 2 matches a week and nobody he trusted to bring off the bench.

The Venkys do not know if the Indian government will ever let them put any money in again - that Wharton transfer fee is going to be swallowed up in running costs as we all predicted.
