  1. Same in the NFL. The in-stadium experience is awful - loads of dead time waiting for the game to come back from commercials.
  2. Trebled Ennis' wages according to who? We lost £40k on that deal - it was a worthwhile punt.
  3. Depends if they're allowed to spend money (including competitive wages) or not.
  4. Surely he's not being signed to be a starter. He's experienced and, more importantly, he's a leader. We've desperately short of those in the dressing room. I'm not opposed to the move considering S. Wharton will be out most of the season.
  5. Oxford. Bolton are in our catchment area.
  6. As far as I'm aware they've never failed to pay players, so you'd go to whoever offers the biggest weekly wage. Granted with our new L1 budget that wouldn't be us.
  7. The only thing I don't like about those highlights (and I get that slide tackles are sexy) is that he dives in to a lot of tackles. I hope that's not the norm for him.
  8. He's out of contract in December - we won't get him on loan.
  9. Exactly - he's just thrived in the SPL (which is roughly the equivalent of L1 bar two or three teams). He deserves the chance to show what he's got with the First Team. Unfortunately Batty hasn't kicked on at all.
  10. I'd be happy with that, but I'd be very surprised.
  11. I've always said if you told me they were Burnley fans I'd believe you.
  12. On the face of it, yes, but he's been allowed to spend a lot of money at Hull. They were clearly expecting promotion (or at least playoffs) this year.
  13. That's his new line now he understands his role in the process - he's been very publicly sidelined thrice in successive transfer windows. He's protecting his reputation now
  14. I'm not giving credit for Szmodics to the previous regime, sorry. Brittain and Hyam are a step up from the guys they replaced. Telalovic was a desperate, cheap punt. We've washed our face with Ennis. It's too early in the day to judge Wahlstedt (better than Pears) and O'Connor. Chrisene, Hill, Moran (for a few months) and Ayari have been decent loans. They'll all have been super cheap as that's the pool we're fishing in.
  15. Besides our POTY last year, Hyam, and our POTY this season, Szmodics (who's going to be sold for 4x what we paid for him)... and our best CM, Tronstad, and our best RB, Brittain. Other than that, nothing. The acceptance of the O'Brien / Brierley mistakes was him being professional as the actual culprits daren't put their head above that parapets and the fans needed an answer. It's no coincidence they (Silvestre / Waggott et al) pulled a new trick in January to scupper the transfers.
  16. Good, get any of those fuckers with ambition like JDT and Broughton out of the club. More Waggott, please. He's done an incredible job commercially as the CEO and as Chief Football Scout. We're lucky to have him. Hope he gets a big slice of the pie when the training ground is eventually sold for housing development.
  17. I think he did the decent thing and retired - so I don't think we paid him the entire 6 months.
  18. They'll take Gallagher in CM. Foden, Palmer and Bellingham (although I'd play him in CM for England to accommodate the glut of attacking midfielders we have) play further forward.
  19. I'd swap places with them in a heartbeat.
  20. So what's your plan b? No self respecting Director of Football is going to come into this shit show. They've literally tanked Broughton's reputation with three transfer windows - two in January where they failed to submit the correct paperwork in time and one in the summer where they allowed him to make plans and then pulled the rug from under him (Ayala, Dack, BBD wages not reinvested).
