  1. Sadly most of the league doesn't have a pot to piss in, which is why the parachute payment clubs come down and boss it. Think they've won the league every year since 2017. It's going to require a crafty loan or an absolute gem from a foreign league to solve our problem - over to you Broughton.
  2. LB requires pace. If that #9 is a quick 20 goal a season striker your problems are solved... but we obviously can't afford that.
  3. I was livid at the time - I could have accepted losing a £5m outlay for free, but Venus and Mowbray made him the next manager's problem too 'cos you know he'll be one of the highest earners.
  4. Created the four best chances of the match and didn't put any of them away. A goal scoring #9 that relegates Gallagher to the bench (and Vale to a loan) is our absolute priority.
  5. To be fair I wouldn't have given Mowbray another penny either after seeing him spunk £12m+ on the likes of Gallagher, Brereton, Pickering, Edun, Markanday (who'd barely played yet cost £500k) et al.
  6. I always assumed they held onto us out of spite - because they're that rich that they can afford to bury the heart of a community in England because they once had a snowball thrown at them. Does her son really turn up to every match at Ewood?
  7. He drops back to do their job in attack too - which then leaves us short upfront.
  8. He shouldn't be playing over Wharton at this point - at the bare minimum it should be Buckley and Garrett for the next game. He doesn't contribute anything to the team and gives the ball away far too easily.
  9. Yes - hence why we switched to 3 CBs and a low block for 20 minutes against Cardiff at Ewood - and do so quite often. We clung onto the win against a relegation threatened side because we don't score enough goals.
  10. I describe 'getting hammered' as being played off the park. A sliced shot, a 25 yard 'swing your foot through it' and a GK letting a corner go in direct does not equal hammered to me - but again I appreciate I watch a different game to most.
  11. We have a serious problem with quality - nobody can consistently hit the back of the net. Goals win games and we don't score enough of them. We had 4 golden chances today and missed them all - that's baffling. They didn't craft 1 clear cut chance and scored 4.
  12. It would free up my Saturday afternoons - so maybe I should get on this bandwagon. It's certainly not fun watching a different game to most Rovers fans every week and trying to explain yourself.
  13. Did we get hammered? They won't score those first three goals again all season. We created the 4 best chances of the match and contrived to miss them all.
  14. I'm happy for most of the dressing room to leave if someone else picks up their wages.
  15. Spot on - a game where you hold your hands up and say they don't score any of the first three goals again all season.
  16. To be fair if the fans moan and get this guy sacked after 5 years of Mowbray and Venus pulling the strings this'll be the last season ticket I buy. I've already fallen out of love with the club, being on a completely different wavelength to the fans would be the final straw. He's done a tremendous job - his squad is terrible and he needs patience.
  17. I think he's realistic in terms of the money we have. A 20 goal a season #9 and this game (along with the Boro game) is put to bed at half time. The other 2 are up for debate, but we simply don't score enough goals. We created 4 golden opportunities today - I don't think they created 1, yet it's 4-0.
  18. We'd have been 2-0 at half time against Boro too.
  19. Oh agree to disagree - he's clearly desperate to bring players in "every window is a chance to improve your team and you shouldn't waste that".
  20. I distinctly remember a game against Fulham at Ewood that says otherwise.
  21. He needs to play more based on the last two performances - but even against Norwich it's clear he doesn't fancy tracking back. I can see why he's not played.
  22. Are they blind to the shortcomings on the pitch? All I've heard from JDT is that this is a project and it's going to take time to get promoted. Sounds to me like a manager that's seen the players train and knows they're simply not good enough.
  23. We'll see - it's clear that our behind-the-scenes set up was amateur at best when Broughton arrived. He's clearly been addressing that. He talks a good game - he needs the contacts in the sport now to bring in a gem or two in January to strengthen this squad.
  24. 4 golden chances - what the fuck was that, Dack?!
  25. LOL three goals they'll never score again.
