  1. I'm fully on board with contact - I'd wave play on as a ref when a defender steps infront of an attacker and falls down for a free kick - but there's no place for dirty play. You can seriously injure someone with what Delap was doing.
  2. The only way you can loan him out is if you bring in better. He's on the fringe of the first team right now, but one injury away from making the bench and racking up decent minutes.
  3. Check out his betting tips.
  4. Oh no, I'm talking taking guys out off the ball / deliberately catching them as they're clearing the ball. No place for that in the game.
  5. He's also a thug - tried to leave something on a few of our players at Ewood.
  6. I knew it was unsustainable last year too - pre-Christmas Brereton-Diaz was converting chances at a ridiculous rate (didn't he nearly score 20 goals by January?). We were built on a solid back 3 (+ GK) keeping clean sheets and nicking a goal at the other end. Once Brereton-Diaz got injured that fell apart - we were desperate for anyone else to score during that death spiral. Is the squad stronger this year than last? I'd say yes because it's more balanced, players have developed under JDT and it's not flooded with loans (I have high hopes for Garrett, Wharton and Phillips). We SHOULD end up in the Playoffs this year after our start, but that does partly depend on what the parachute payment clubs do in January... and of course whether we find any money down the back of the sofa - we're still desperate for a goal scorer.
  7. I think some people need to step back and take an objective look at our squad. To be third with the players JDT has at his disposal is, quite frankly, absurd.
  8. I think he'd be a good buy for £2m, but evidently Norwich want more. I've often left Ewood this season lamenting how we could do with a second Hedges - well Cantell would be it.
  9. I think Szmodics has been good this season - unfortunately he keeps on picking up knocks. He's a handy little player at this level.
  10. Officially, yes, but the others are all well along the way if reports are to be believed.
  11. Does seem curious - that's five out the door now, right? Hirst, Mola, Edun, Brown and Annesley.
  12. He's a L1 player. Assuming they're paying his wages for 6 months with a view to moving him on for good in the summer this is a good piece of business. He's played 190 minutes in 6 months for a reason, he's simply not good enough for this level.
  13. Some players don't kick on from their youth days. He's absolutely one of them.
  14. Clearing out the dead wood.
  15. What app / programme is that?
  16. Bloody hell they're having their pants pulled down there.
  17. He doesn't have a footballing brain. I'd much rather play Dolan and Markanday than Khadra.
  18. Worth £4.5m according to Transfermarkt with 12 months left on his contract, so I doubt it.
  19. As I said in the Norwich game chat, quite a few of our players have come on leaps and bounds under JDT and Remy Reijnierse.
  20. They shouldn't have to put money in - honestly the only way this is going to work is if Broughton / JDT / Waggot (gags) generate their own transfer / salary funds through player sales (and perhaps cup runs) and tell the Venkys to keep their hands off. Otherwise you're literally at the whim of a bunch of nutters in India.
  21. What is this obsession with a midfield enforcer? We need someone in there that can pass the ball - the reason why the 'playing out from the back' style is so maligned by a good portion of our fanbase is because our CMs don't consistently give the CBs an option. We literally need a Tugay.
  22. Hence why it's a big statement of intent - has Brougton convinced the owners that it's in our best interest to sell BBD and reinvest the money, or is it more of the same scratching around with peanuts when we desperately need reinforcements.
  23. Playing devil's advocate here, was this our choice or Leicester's?
  24. I don't know why people bait him - just let him be.
  25. He used the Carabao Cup to give fringe / young players a run out. He kept with that policy against West Ham and Notts Forest - we beat West Ham's strong side, but not Forest's. I have no problem with that. He's clearly treating the FA cup as a more premium competition - which it is as the prize money per round is significant.
