  1. The social media team lap up whatever he does too, it's nauseating. He literally barely plays for us - I think basically QF / SF/ F of the T20 Blast most years, if it lines up with his calendar. Really can't stand the bloke, especially because he's a crap Test cricketer.
  2. I mean they weren't far wrong - we finished 2nd bottom of the form table (losing to bottom in the process) after January.
  3. How are we possibly starting pre-season without a manager when the powers that be knew Mowbray was leaving in January?! It's been a month with no-one at the helm. I swear the Venky's are Burnley fans.
  4. Give over. A manager worth his salt will be able to find an upgrade on a free transfer. Lenihan was ok, but he was incredibly clumsy and got caught out often. Coupled with the fact he thought he was Beckenbauer and he's not great loss. If he's not replaced them we're in trouble, but Van Hecke and Wharton were leagues above him last year. We're not losing a star.
  5. It says that the bloke who took us on a journey for 5 years horribly mismanaged the squad.
  6. I've run into too many bullshitters in my time to buy into an interview. I'll reserve judgement based on what he actually achieves - there's many people that can talk a good game, but don't have the ability to deliver.
  7. Again that's entirely unfair lumping Ainsworth and Warne in with Ferguson. They're experienced, successful managers. Ferguson is a no mark.
  8. England just look knackered.
  9. These owners have done nothing to cultivate loyalty. It's a business decision for me now these days - is what's on offer every other Saturday worth my time (the money is less of an issue tbh)? Will I be entertained? The days of blindly following Rovers died with Steve Kean.
  10. They're never going to get their money back - albeit they only bought us for £25m before running us into the ground.
  11. It's disappointing, but it's pretty clear we were a backup plan for Farke. He got the offer he wanted.
  12. I mean they literally revolted in the Derby game - he's a terrible man manager. When did he talk up the club? All I can recall is him referring to shite like Boro as massive clubs and how we can't possible compete with anyone that's on parachute payments. Oh and reminding the fans it's not 1995. He was, and is, an arrogant prick.
  13. I'll wait until I hear more information about him being appointed before I do a deep dive, but he's just got Rotherham promoted again hasn't he?
  14. I couldn't listen to a Mowbray interview after promotion. He just moaned and talked down the club - it made him very difficult to back. You say it's only a minor thing, but I think it's reflected in the players and how they play. A manager that takes pride in his club and how he carries himself shows on the pitch.
  15. I wonder if he'll commute from Rotherham and complain about missing his family.
  16. Steady on, now. I'd prefer my friend's Labrador over Mowbray - but yes, that's a depressing list.
  17. He took Wycombe, the epitome of a nothing club, from the relegation zone in League Two to the Championship. He's anything but a rookie manager - regardless of whether he's the right guy for us. I'd take him over some of the dross listed every day and twice on match day.
  18. We're all assuming Ainsworth wants the job and has applied for it.
  19. What's amazed me is how under-wraps the club have kept this. We're all literally fumbling in the dark for any names.
