  1. Ohashi has taken two kicks already - the ref of course has done nothing about it. Edit: there you go, Yuki - clearly you have to roll on the floor like Peter Griffin to get a FK. Learn from that.
  2. They're not your typical L1 team. What's sickening is that they have competent owners that care.
  3. He'll be feeling the pressure shortly - they've backed him with A LOT of money.
  4. He's not a leader. Barely communicates.
  5. Sad to see Travis has refused to play. He's really blotted his copy book here. Clearly chatting to Eustace behind the scenes. Paper tiger, paper captain.
  6. They brought in two RBs (unless the long term plan is to shift Miller to CB) so they clearly don't fancy Duru. I didn't think he looked out of place when he ran out for us last year and the Barrow fans seemed to like him - but what do I know?
  7. There simply aren't any captains in that team (I don't know what McLoughlin is like, but he's only been here 10 minutes).
  8. And no doubt Rovers fans will get criticised for their poor support (without any sort of nuance). And the Birmingham fans will sing that Blackburn is a shithole, despite being from the biggest shithole in the country. Same as it ever was under these owners.
  9. Liverpool fans - scum as always.
  10. I mean that's blatantly not true. Tronstad. Ohahsi. Gueye (if you're that way inclined).
  11. That's practically impossible as long as he's a professional footballer.
  12. Tyjon and Leonard would get the absolute shit kicked out of them playing as a 9 in the Championship.
  13. Or he's pissed off that his captain has come to him and asked to leave and he's not going to shield him from any blame.
  14. When we offered Buckley, Garrett et al new deals we had a competent Director of Football and thought we had a reasonable Championship budget. We were securing assets - whether for our first team or to sell to someone else. Hyam had just been signed and Travis had multiple years on his deal. Now we're clearly trying to stretch a miniscule budget as far as it can go, with absolutely no guarantees that any more money is coming across. Hence the short term contracts to new signings, a Β£10k a week salary cap and selling anyone of value to fund the transfers (i.e. Brittain and JRC's transfer fees will have more than covered any outgoing transfer fees).
  15. That can't possibly be true because I don't recall a story about Morris' agent coming to an untimely death.
  16. The owners seem determined to hang on to the club for the lowest possible amount of money. They've put nothing in for years with the Wharton / Szmodics / Raya sales funding the club. They've put a nominal amount in this year to keep the lights on. There simply has to be some massive skeletons in the closet for them not to sell as you simply can't run a football club like this. A shoestring budget with morons in charge.
  17. Good lord. Rats deserting a sinking ship.
  18. So is that Β£30k a week offer for Travis from Derby? Cos if so, bloody hell.
  19. Ah yes, that well known tactic of going 1-0 and then sitting back. That's never bitten a team in the rear. The fact of the matter is, there was v. little between us and WBA last week. This talk of them "ripping us apart" or "being happy to sit back and see out the game" are just silly. Look, I'm as negative as the next fan (moreso when it comes to our owners), but it's not as doom and gloom on the pitch as many are making out. Barring a rash of injuries I think we'll just about be ok this season - I'd be more confident in saying that if we sign an actual RW. I'm very bleak about our long term prospects, but I try not to worry about that too much.
  20. He's a better golfer than he is a GK then.
  21. I think it needs someone to come in and agree to keep the audit of their finances hush-hush. Takes a brave investor to do that - and I'm also not sure how legal that is! Failing that, yes we're looking to the Indian Govt to force them to sell. It's a ridiculous situation.
  22. We got Β£1m for JRC though. I'd rather have our assets tied down than not.
  23. If he PAID us Β£20k a week to play for us for the next year I'd be hesitant to take him.
