  1. We've loaned in Baradji - maybe they've realised we need a loan or two to round out the squad?
  2. Can he take set pieces? We're leaving so many goals on the table by having Cantwell as our primary set piece taker - we're such a big team now. He put in on good ball yesterday and Hyam hit the bar - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise a good set piece taker would make us a nightmare to play against.
  3. He wouldn't score 18 goals, but he'd have far more Goals and Assists than Gallagher. He leads the line better than anyone we've had for a while - he holds the ball up and brings others into play. He's a 6'5" CF that wins almost everything in the air and we've never, ever consistently crossed the ball into the box for him. Only Brittain was able to put in good service for him - Hedges and Dolan just hit and hoped on their crosses. As for yesterday - it's very difficult to get back onside once you've made your run. I'd have to look at it again, but Cantwell was showboating at that point - he could have put Hendrikson in for a clear chance in the second half, but wanted another goal - and delayed the pass. Also it was saved by the GK. I'm not saying he's the next Drogba, but the disrespect he gets on here is baffling. We're in the Championship, all of our players have serious flaws, yet Gueye is one of the few that seems to be constantly dragged over the coals for his.
  4. It'll be £5k+ more a week and his last good contract.
  5. Brittain is a better footballer, technically. Alebiosu is a much better athlete. In this league of cloggers the better athlete usually wins out.
  6. I think Hedges should have buried the chance Hendrikson put on a plate for him, but it didn't warrant mentioning after a 3-0 win.
  7. I think people are a little giddy after a resounding away win. It's a long old season. I'd be content with our midfield options now if we retained Travis after bringing in Baradji. As it is I think we're still one short and we'll suffer when the real grind of the Championship season starts - those 2 match weeks will be a killer.
  8. No bait - just of ALL the performances today you singled out one player who was on for 5 minutes...
  9. Your only criticism is with a guy that was thrown on for 5 minutes at the end? Bloody hell some of you have proper agendas.
  10. Sharpe might have cracked the code:
  11. He's bringing in a profile of player that fits what he wants to do - the concern is that we simply don't have enough of them and especially not in the right areas. Look at the difference it makes when both wingers contribute - that was Hedges' unicorn performance of the season, he won't play that well again.
  12. We could easily have 7 points right now with better officiating.
  13. We need the depth badly. Montgomery didn't look out of place today when he came on, but he wasn't asked to do much. Tavares seems to tire at the hour mark so we definitely need someone we trust on the bench.
  14. Probably pissed off McBurnie attacked his CB and got him booked after the final whistle.
  15. He'll be on triple the wages we're paying Gueye (and yes he's a much better player).
  16. I don't think the black boots help his look. He's clearly quite skillful, but yeah he's a gangly athlete.
  17. Best player on the pitch - and there have been a few excellent performances too.
  18. Speaking of Hendrikson, he'll score a few this season. Had a tap in if Cantwell got his head up just then - he makes some really clever runs.
  19. There's the Ryan Hedges we know. Hendrikson laid it on a plate for him - that's an impressive miss.
  20. I do like it when my striker's first instinct is to shoot, but Ohashi has missed two chances to square it to players in better positions.
  21. Think that's the first. Alebiosu looks goosed - they need to bring Miller on. I'd bring Gueye on too.
  22. So you didn't see the delightful pass for the Hedges goal then?
