  1. I think after 10 years of crushing disappointment, most fans have given up.
  2. They have a footballing model. I dislike that they've scrapped their Academy and they they have a foreign legion in a cloggers league.
  3. Our local media have no clue, let's be honest.
  4. Except for that stonewall penalty he should have given away. Ref felt guilty for sending off Henry, otherwise it's another Raya clanger.
  5. He's simply not a good enough CM if you want to progress as a team. His range of passing / speed of thought isn't enough to make a team tick. Understandable as he's played the majority of his career out wide. He's a steady pro who would be great to have around the team as cover, but that's not what we're paying him (theoretically).
  6. Didn't see it with Graham either - just think Mowbray didn't like the style of play Graham's strengths encouraged. Probably also has to do with the fact he's spunked £14m on three strikers in the last two years so was always looking to move Graham on this off-season.
  7. He'll play PL football if Fulham go up. I don't think he's got enough to his game to be a PL player on merit.
  8. If I was a professional sportsman with a 10 year career, yes. It worked out for him as he went to a better side (albeit in London), but the location of a team wouldn't be a big concern for me. Wages, ambition and promotion prospects are what I'd be concerned about.
  9. So you're happy with mediocrity then. Good to know.
  10. I thought he'd been sacked - was that a fake report?
  11. Man, the Venkys have really done a number on this club.
  12. It's Henry. He's the best player I've seen at Ewood (albeit we didn't see Ronaldo in his final form).
  13. Cardiff just missed a sitter. Brutal.
  14. I feel like that's why he benched Graham this season. He hated how effective he was because it lead to a more agricultural style of football.
  15. These playoff games are hard to watch - these teams are so bang average it's untrue.
  16. I must have been watching a different team to many last season. Our CM is ok with Travis in there and woeful without him. Yes, we need help at LB, CB and GK, but a better defensive screen for the back 4 goes a long way to improving that goals against column. Not to mention what a good CM partnership does for your attack (assuming this lad doesn't just pass backwards and sideways like Evans and Johnson).
  17. I mean Leicester bid £25m for a bloke that's scored 9 goals in 3 years. If they didn't have incredibly rich owners, that'd be a crippling mistake.
  18. Make up call by the ref then - typical Raya howler. Stonewall pen.
  19. You can see why Raya is 'much improved' on crosses - his two towering CBs gobble everything up!
  20. I used to think that, but refs have been giving red cards for tackles like that for a number of years. As a professional you have to know you're running a risk there. It's like the targeting rule in American Football (a tangent, I know). I hate it as it's fundamentally opposed to what the game stands for, but as a defender you know that if you hit an opposition player in a certain way you're going to get ejected from the game.
  21. I'm on the fence about that red card. He wins the ball, but it was reckless. In this day and age you know that if you leave your feet you run the risk of getting sent off.
  22. What a shit penalty from Ayew.
  23. Which is why he's fine at the first CB off the bench for a cash strapped club.
