  1. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/12387223/blackburn-1-2-west-brom Sky have done us dirty with the highlights.
  2. That goal was coming - their keeper was playing a very high risk game and got caught out. If Gallagher had got a toe to that through ball he could have got their GK sent off.
  3. That's what we need, another #10. Definitely short of players in that position.
  4. You might be, yes. Ayala is utter quality at this level - unfortunately he's made of glass so we're being spoiled at the moment. He's the big difference from last season - and Pickering being a step up from Bell and Douglas. Lenihan is combative, but extremely error prone - he called Carter (who had it covered) off the ball for their first goal so he could swoop in and mis-kick the clearance.
  5. Lenihan is one I'd let go if we had any money to replace him. He was at fault for their first goal today and was generally calamitous. Playing him next to Ayala really shines a light on how limited a CB he is.
  6. What an awful ref he was. Their #2 took 15 minutes out of the game EASILY with his time wasting. It took him 40 - 60 seconds every time he set up a long throw. Horrible, cynical team, but physical and well organised, so they'll romp this shite league.
  7. I maintain every year - it's a doggers league. Has been for over a decade. Any physical, organised team can contend for the playoffs.
  8. Very even game. West Brom are shithouses.
  9. Why is the ref letting them have a towel on either flank to dry the ball with for their long throw ins (that take an age btw)? He told our kit man to put it back - how isnthet legal?
  10. I'd be very happy poaching the best young players from League One. We don't need experienced pros per say, we need quality depth at LB, RB and CF. As much as it brings me joy to see our Academy fill out our entire bench, that's suicide over a 40+ game season as quite a few of them have very little experience above U23s.
  11. I'm desperate for him to play Gallagher through the middle. Say we bring this lad in for several hundred thousand pounds, that's enough depth out wide surely - Dale, Brereton, Dolan, JRC and Chapman. We need another big and / or quick CF. It's a long season.
  12. We eventually managed to remove the Anderson parasite, only to be lumbered with the Coventrio. For multi-bullionaires they really are an easy target. These scumbags see them coming a mile off.
  13. You lost me with the bolded part.
  14. We're at that point already - he's got players on the bench that he's terrified to throw on as they're untested Academy graduates. Why he didn't play them against Morecambe I'll never know.
  15. As I understand it he used to rock up to 5-a-side matches with his mates when he was on our books - he's just turn it on and blitz everyone when the team needed it. I'm sure he matured since then.
  16. Whatever happened to Brennan? Leeds et al were sniffing around him last year - he went on loan to Fylde and disappeared.
  17. Eeeeeh, as much as I love American Football, I wouldn't cite US sports as the beacon for youth development. College Football recruiting is just about the dirtiest game in the business - and it becomes a meat grinder when they get to College. You have Minor League baseball players out of pocket so that they can continue travelling with their team - the Oakland A's just got in a lot of trouble for that recently. As I understand it, 'soccer' in the US is basically pay-to-play when it comes to the higher levels.
  18. The only way Mowbray's process makes sense is if Liverpool / Man City / Everton et al are paying US to take on their kids and give them game time. Y'know, use our Championship team as a testbed, but in the process help keep the lights on. Instead he uses loans to bolster his squad AT COST because he has no contacts in the game and is a terrible manager.
  19. Hope he's happy sat on the bench.
  20. I'd still be disappointed with the stadium tbf - it's a shocker.
  21. Nah if you watch the replay the Millwall player wraps his foot around Rothwell's ankle. Looks innocuous in real time, but could be a bad one.
  22. I think he was subbed today because he's played 3 games in a week and we have nobody to back him up. He was fine today. He's a no-nonsense LB. Not the fastest, not the best going forward, but a damn sight better than what we've had there the last few years.
  23. I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion. He's light years better than Bell and Douglas.
  24. A very tough game against a fired up Millwall who came out with the intention of bullying us. The ref let them get away with murder. I thought we held up well and even had them crying to the ref at the end as we matched their physicality. Very promising - we'd have folded in recent years. Travis clear MOTM for me - he's a brilliant CM at this level and vital for us.
