I think ideally you'd give him a run of games as the advanced man in a midfield three (or the tip of a diamond I guess). He never really gets enough games to settle - and he's not quite quick enough to be played out wide. He has enough skill to beat players, but not enough pace to pull away from them once he's beaten them, which means a lot of his passes / crosses are done so under pressure. For his sake I think he needs to move on. Mowbray has sent him backwards as a player.

On the flip side, he's spunked £12m on two non-entities who he tries to shoe-horn into the squad (when he's not isolating one of them), completely unbalancing the side. This has also completely shafted us with FFP. He also has a L1 footballer as our Captain and fits him into the starting XI any way he can. Is the club in a better state than when he took over? Undoubtedly. Has he taken the club as far as he can? Almost certainly.
