No-one is saying they can't invest in clubs. The proposal is that the annual salary of your top 25 players can only reach a certain agreed amount (the same across the Big 5 European leagues) - whatever that is (I'm not party to the annual turnover of these clubs or salaries of these players). The only reason they've tried to breakaway into an invitation only league is because they feel like they can earn more revenue. Evidently they can't afford the players current salaries. And if that means De Bruyne goes to play in China, good luck to him.

If they want to sort out the problems facing them, the big 5 leagues need to come together and agree a universal salary cap. Paying De Bruyne £400k a week isn't sustainable.

Signing Mourinho wouldn't reignite the fan base. The proof is in the pudding - we'd wait to see what runs out there on Saturdays. If it's more tripe then it doesn't matter what the name of the manager is.

He can't be worse than Douglas.

Tosin as a Libero in a back 3 might work. Frees him up from his defensive duties (the other two CBs concentrate on that, he's free to sweep up anything with no man-marking duties) and allows him to carry the ball out of defence and join the midfield.

I'm amazed Rooney hasn't come out of retirement to save his team - he'd still be the best player on the pitch. He's clearly a poor manager though, which amuses me.

Harwood-Bellis is significantly better than Tosin. They were trying to sell Tosin with those loans - putting him in the shop window. They'll have first team plans for Harwood-Bellis - he's a class act.

In a team where 4 loanees regularly start, Rothwell (and others) are regularly played out of position and strikers are asked to play out wide he's interested in the development of players? Get stuffed.
