  1. I've worked with Neil before. Decent bloke. Unless things have changed their entire business is tied to Rovers (their equipment/studio is in the Blackburn End) so he's not going to bite the hand that feeds him.
  2. They're clearly wrecking the pitch - they're a last ditch effort.
  3. You'll all be glad to know the sheeple that still turn out at Ewood Park were all chanting "we want Venky's out" and "Pasha time to go" when the players were being taken off.
  4. Not as hard, but it's still persistent rain. TGH came out and bounced a ball near halfway (near the benches) and it bounced fine, so these rollers are working.
  5. 3 matches in a week. They're clearly v tired.
  6. If it doesn't get called off. This rain is relentless and there's already standing water on the pitch.
  7. No revisionism here - go and search my posts on Vale if you like. I actually thought he had a bit of ability, but he didn't look like he was even trying. He jogged after everything. Leonard would be first man off the bench in this 3-5-2 / 3-4-3 (I think we alternate) as at least he puts the graft in.
  8. He had his knee strapped up last match, didn't he? After he sat down requesting treatment. To be fair we've been lucky he's lasted this long - loves a good spell in the treatment room does Ryan. Can't wait until we break Alebiosu too.
  9. He runs like he's carrying a piano on his back - are you really going to ask him to marshal the entire left flank? Our best bet right now is to start Ribeiro, tell him to run himself into the ground and sub him on 60 minutes.
  10. Did I watch a different Jack Vale? Lad never broke into a sweat.
  11. Bloody hell, what's with all these multiple week innocuous injuries?!
  12. He's a confidence player and he's also a chaos engine. If you're going to play him he needs to start and you need to be during balls up to him / crossing balls into the box. Asking him to come on for 10 mins to chase hurried clearances upfield and close down multiple CBs on his own is setting him up for failure. He's 6'5" and strong as an ox. He's not a whippet like Ohashi - don't ask them to play the same way. It's not rocket science. And for clarity - I think he's a 10 goal a season striker if you played to his strengths, but he'd have a load of assists (and just generally disrupt the defence and cause chances to break for others).
  13. Well he's not been allowed to play by the manager, so very little. Very difficult to do anything with 5-10 minute cameos.
  14. That leaves you far too exposed in midfield.
  15. I hope you take that approach to your own life - you're obviously hugely successful.
  16. Gueye is the current scapegoat. He can't do anything right on this board.
  17. It's a long season and a ridiculous run of fixtures - you saw with Travis and Tronstad in January last year, you simply can't run the same players out there for 90 minutes every week. Ohashi will break down pretty soon if he's not given a rest. Gudjohnsen has been targeted twice for a rest in the last two games (of the pair of them). We need another CF in January to rotate in if we're sticking with this system.
  18. I'm not sure what more they can do to put their thumb on the scale in our matches. Will be interesting to see.
  19. Love that from Ismael. He'll be getting a fine next week from the EFL though.
  20. He doesn't set us up well defensively. Everyone cuts us to ribbons on the counter. I'm amazed he's an ex-CB.
  21. I think we'll just about scrape by, but we're bloody unlucky at times, get nothing from the refs and clearly only have about a 15 man squad.
  22. I mean they did play 50 extra minutes with 11 men. I'd say the ref had a big influence on that result.
  23. That's the problem though, isn't it? They slotted home their once chance of the game because they have that quality on the pitch.
