How have we played in those 5 games? We've been in every single one and, barring some awful officiating, should be sat here with far more points. The worry is that this is our year - we're playing ok and losing, which means we're going down - but I have to think that we'll stop being on the butt end of things and start picking up results. I don't look at the squad we've assembled and think it's miles off the standard.

He's a confidence player that needs time on the pitch. Relegating him to 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there is doing him absolutely no favours.

Well he missed a sitter today and shied away from 3 other chances any striker worth his salt is at least taking on...

I wish they'd apply all of the laws of the game so thoroughly...

Gueye isn't an impact sub - he's poor in that role. He needs to start the game and cause chaos for 70 minutes. Ohashi missed a sitter, refused to shoot TWICE when the GK was miles out of position when they gifted us the ball and bottled it when played through (the Hedges 'chance'). He had an absolute stinker today.

We've played well in 3 of the 4 games and come away with 3 points. That's hugely concerning. Lots of decisions going against us, which makes things more difficult, but we're just not taking our chances. I hope this Gudjohnsen lad is good because fuck me Ohashi was shite today. He's an impact sub, nothing more.

Don't see Travis turning that game around.

Think we're in big, big trouble. Three games decided by penalty decisions that all went against us. We dominated Norwich with 10 men, but lost 2-0. Some managers are just unlucky. I think we're going down. Just one of those seasons.

Well we've had to sell the core of our team to do it. The turnover has been insane - 9th signing coming in, how many have left? It's a massive, massive gamble. Gestede and Ismael seem comfortable doing it. Perhaps JDT and Broughton weren't? It's different, if nothing else.

Well they technically HAVEN'T backed Ismael. Not financially at least. We're well in the black this summer - wage bill has been slashed and we've sold more than we've bought (assuming no more are brought in).

They should have sold him this summer.

Sod how much we got for Wharton, how are you meant to compete against these parachute clubs when they continuously throw that kind of money around!?

Only because Szmodics miraculously turned into a 30 goal striker.

It's concerning that Gent want to ditch him after a year, for what they paid for him - but then again Alan Shearer isn't walking through that door. We'll just have to see if he's any good if he signs for us.

I'd bet money on the deal being done before the widow closes.

To be fair his dad would be our best player these days.

I say the same for any good player that considers moving to the SPL. There's like 2 games a year and a cup final worth playing - otherwise you're on easy street. Like a move to Rangers or Celtic it's purely money / status based. Can't really blame them in a short career.

The concern around Morishita for me is that it looks like he's just had his Szmodics season. An unbelievable year that coincided with him playing further forward that's a massive outlier to the rest of his career.

It's a bit chicken and egg. He was given the chance, but he couldn't stay fit. Someone said he's started 8 games total for us - that's nothing. Now it seems like he's been written off.

He had our pants down for Szmodics, and that was with Broughton in charge. I shudder to think what Pasha's playing at.
