Massively overstayed his welcome, especially when it was clear he had zero ambition. Brought us some stability then should have been replaced.

That's because he's the only one in recent memory that has been good enough to care about.

The amount of times in the last few years I've thought "man if there was just a CM making a run into the box here they have the freedom of Ewood to pick their spot in the back of the net". Hopefully one of the two CMs will push on now. I know Tavares wanted ten goal contributions this season...

Y'all love your straw men. Setting expectation at Playoffs or bust is hilarious. We're clearly not that club under these owners - look at the money Wrexham and Birmingham have spent. We also have 3 parachute payment teams and Sheffield United hanging around too. We'll be mid table, adrift of the automatic promotion spots by Christmas and just generally making up the numbers unless Gestede is a genius and all of these new signings are excellent.

The non-reversed halves in those highlights trigger me something fierce. It's just not a Rovers kit.

I think from a pure numbers standpoint we need another CF. Ohashi and Gueye will get injured at some point and / or lose form. You can't then just pick the other as the default starter. They want Leonard out the door (and he's not a #9) and Tyjon is too young (and not a #9 either). The balancing act is what player you bring in - you should always be aiming for better than you've got, and it'd be nice to have some pace - but can we afford that? I've said from the beginning that I'll judge Gueye (Target Man) and Ohashi (Poacher) when they get consistent service - with Kargbo, Morishita, Cantwell et al they might actually get that now. They'll be different propositions entirely this season I think.

He's definitely answered honestly. We've also definitely not offered him a suitable contract extension. We're both in the wrong and both in the right.
