  1. Positives - back 3 have all looked like they belong. 2 CMs have done well. Toth has just made an excellent save. Negatives - absolutely nothing upfront or out wide.
  2. I think he scored 26 goals at his previous club - over a few seasons. From midfield, obviously, and as they rose up the leagues.
  3. That's a lovely FK from Gardner-Hickman. Nobody on the end of it.
  4. He's being asked to play as a traditional #9. Adam Wharton would look like a fish out of water too. He's competing, but he's on a hiding to nothing.
  5. Henriksson has a heavily strapped right knee too. Jeez.
  6. Oh hey, we're in green. The kit they don't let us play in.
  7. These Arsenal set pieces are something else.
  8. We both know that the formation change happened because we were shipping goals. It's solidified us, but we simply don't have the squad to play it - especially not two games a week. Morishita, DeNeve, Henriksson are all square pegs in round holes now.
  9. We're not a normal club and haven't been for a long time.
  10. I'd think DeNeve is playing upfront with Powell at LWB. DeNeve can't defend.
  11. F) I know we can't win this competition and, evidently, the money it would generate disappears into a black hole, so I'm going to see what these Academy players have about them in a competitive game.
  12. I obviously don't watch them - just turned on for the last 10 (well 16) mins to enjoy the upset, but yes that little Pino lad didn't pass to Wharton once, despite Adam being in a better position every time.
  13. Have the Palace players fallen out with Wharton? They're not even passing him the ball.
  14. He's 6'5". Asking him to press intensely is moronic.
  15. And they weren't big financial losses. Dennis was, but that was Waggott trying to be smart, rather than the Director of Football doing his job.
  16. Do not get your hopes up that we're in the market for an ex-PL striker. Not unless he's coming out of retirement. We simply will not spend that kind of money on wages - even on a 'prove it' deal.
  17. We were told what he was by that analyst / scout on Twitter before he arrived: a chaos engine. Rather than surrounding him with players that could take advantage of the knock downs he wins (see Weiman goal v Burnley) we decided to play him with Dolan (and the piano he's carrying on his back), Cozier-Diddy, Cantwell (who apparently is content to take most of his touches in our half of the field) and whatever you'd call Hedges (I wouldn't call him a professional footballer, but you do you). As a Brucie-bonus, none of those lads can cross either to take advantage of the 6'5" CF. So good luck to Gueye, wherever he ends up, he was done dirty here - and Ismael especially has shown his poor man management skills with how he's handled this situation.
  18. Washed our face with Ennis. Made a profit on Telalovic.
  19. Nah, we lack an Alebiosu equivalent at LWB and pace at CF.
