Yeah I'm not quite sure what he's meant to bring to the table. An odd selection.

From what I've seen of him I think he's a #10 in a 4-2-3-1, or the more advanced CM in any formation like a 5-3-2 / 4-3-3 / 3-4-3. He'll score and create goals if you play him enough in his correct position - he's clearly got something about him - but asking him to play as a #9 against 2 CBs is just cruel.

I still think Gueye was misused here - but ignoring that for a moment, I don't think it's any surprise that Alebiosu (Arsenal Academy) and Gudjohnsen (Real Madrid Academy) have turned out ok.

I think the two CBs would have found their way into the first team reasonably soon, but Dlamini, Powell and Montgomery don't look anything special so far.

Positives - back 3 have all looked like they belong. 2 CMs have done well. Toth has just made an excellent save. Negatives - absolutely nothing upfront or out wide.

Get DeNeve off set pieces.

I think he scored 26 goals at his previous club - over a few seasons. From midfield, obviously, and as they rose up the leagues.
