  1. I'm all for physical football. I'm not for blatant fouls. Not sure why you can't get your head around that.
  2. Sorry who are small, weak and slow?! We literally got kicked off the park by Derby because the ref allowed them to turn it into a rugby match. I don't think this current group is small or weak - and we have more pace than last year...
  3. It's not worth the financial risk to Big Sam.
  4. As much as I liked Broughton as he brought an air of professionalism to the place I'm glad we didn't get the American. He's sunk without a trace.
  5. Busy and wants the ball, but I don't think he's good enough. Granted I'm the one calling for people to give more time to the likes of Henriksson and Morishita and still think Gueye deserves to play, so I'm probably not the best person to talk.
  6. He's incredibly slow and probably about 5'8" - so he doesn't have a position in our new formation.
  7. I thought he tore his calf last time?
  8. Yes. It happened to my friend and he was in a boot like Wharton was the other day. No pain.
  9. That Khan lad makes Pears look world class.
  10. That RoversXtra account reckons Wharton has torn his achilles tendon. Surely not.
  11. We've basically run cloggers out there for 15 years - not many legends left that can still play.
  12. Loves a relegation on his CV does Rob Edwards. This will be his third in three years.
  13. Their losses will be higher in League One.
  14. Last reply in this thread: I watch Rugby League and American Football. If I wanted to watch players wrestle and block, I'd watch a match from those sports. I don't watch football to see players two handed push players in the back, pull shirts and literally make a beeline for a player in the open field and shoulder charge them to block their run. Each to their own I guess - if that's counted as rolling over then fair enough, it's clearly not the sport for me anymore.
  15. That was just a late, clumsy lunge for the ball, no? Their #32 sized the Miller foul up - far dirtier.
  16. As usual we'll have to agree to disagree when it comes to talent evaluation.
  17. That's part of it, yes. The other part is asking 10 players to hit the ground running in one of the toughest leagues in the world. Even if you hit on all of them, which I don't think we have, it takes time to adapt and unfortunately points are being played for during that period.
  18. The three I've highlighted were low fees. Brereton was a weird flight of fancy by Mowbray et al. They would have profited from Dack if he didn't blow both of his knees out...
  19. Did he do anything yesterday besides score from a wonderful corner kick? He wouldn't be getting that service here...
  20. I think losing Toth for three months really fucks us over. However I don't think those three wins in a row were a fluke like many of you seem to.
  21. Ok and who are you playing out wide in the 4-2-3-1? And which of our two strikers are you ineffectually playing as the 1 in said formation?
  22. He's clearly not up to much if he can't even get off the bench in the MLS - but yeah we need an athletic body to spell Alebiosu at RWB. I don't know who else we could turn to besides Duru.
  23. There's a line though, isn't there? Derby went well beyond it yesterday - a decent ref would have stamped it out immediately. Granted a decent ref would have given us a penalty at the end too, so there you go.
  24. I didn't forget him, I just don't know what to make of him yet. He's a willing runner and a very quick player, but his final ball is a liquorice allsorts - which I think is down to his lack of skill. Quite similar to Dolan in a way, although that was down to his lack of a brain. LWB suits him, especially when rotating with Hedges, and I think he's growing into the league, but he's clearly pretty limited. At the moment I see him as a useful player that lets us play our best formation - we'll see if he pushes on from there.
  25. Would you be happy with Batth and Weimann here this season? You saw yesterday (and last year) that Weimann's legs have gone. I suspect Batth's have too if he's on the bench at Derby behind the cloggers we saw yesterday.
