  1. We need a striker, but we also seem some players to create chances for them. Though the chances may come if we replaced Gally, so many forward moves break down as soon as the ball goes to him.
  2. And they will have had a week to recover from it. We need our attack to start to click, there was a few promising signs against Cardiff, but the moves broke down(mostly when the ball went to Gallagher). Less pressure on this game, so it would be a good chance to continue the ‘project’. If it goes tits us for us in the league, which it most likely will, a good cup run would be nice, not to mention financially beneficial.
  3. Pre-Venky’s I seem to remember us having a nice pitch(though it was very ropey during some of the 90’s!). You’d thing with the football JDT wants to play that it would be a priority, maybe as important as signing an extra player.
  4. Seems to be most games we have a terrible referee. It’s gone on for seasons. I don’t watch much non Rovers Championship matches; are they that bad across the whole league? So much money at stake and nothing ever seems to get done. I’m 50/50 with VAR, but I’m starting to think it’s a necessity. If Dack’s goal hadn’t have gone in the net, it should have been a penalty for handball, but I’ve no faith that it would have been given.
  5. Andrew Coal I think he’d prefer 😉 We signed him just before New Years Eve 2001, I remember being over the moon and excited to see him play. I seem to remember singing his chant in the early hours of New Year’s Day walking home from a night out! What a year followed his signing. These days we’ve got Gally and our top signing is George Hirst. We never knew at the time how good we had it….
  6. Is it in the loan T&C’s that he has to play? I think Adam Wharton is much the better player and I’d rather see us play and develop him. The loan seems to benefit Liverpool more than us. Thought JB played well first half, had some great moments. Harsh red, but a needless way to get sent off.
  7. It’s inevitable it won’t be us. If only our owners were decisive.
  8. I think I’m done. Since Venky’s took over it’s been nothing but misery. The only high point was promotion from League One after that nobhead took us down. Same old shit season after season. There’s no enjoyment. It’s just Groundhog Day. I’m wondering if I could get hypnotised to completely careless about football. Be one of those fuckers that says “it’s just a game”.
  9. No idea. He’s better than Travis and Garret combined. Maybe doesn’t run around enough in training.
  10. Sam Gallagher at right back? Is JDT Mowbray’s mate sent to haunt us?
  11. Because the massively below standard Referees would be shown up every week.
  12. Violent conduct. He could have broken his neck, such was the force he threw the ball and the velocity it was travelling.
  13. Down to 9 men with Gally on, may as well bring Hirst on and put us down the 8.
  14. As shit as we are generally, how can the shite standard of officiating carry on season after season in the Championship? Would VAR have given that? Maybe I guess. I dunno. Another evening ruined.
  15. He bounced the ball off a Boro player in a playful manner.
  16. Hopefully Mowbray will buy him in January. Fucking shit.
  17. The performances have been average to poor, even when we’ve won, I’m not sure he can get us promote. I’d love to see us get promote. I just think if he wasn’t so stubborn and mixed it up a bit we could definitely get in the play offs and maybe get promote as we have the foundations of a good team. It’s been a Jekyll and Hyde season, so it’s not always easy to completely write us off. 1-0 Rovers Lenihan OG.
  18. No wonder most of the players look like they have zero fight in them. Very. Rotten from the core. This is rubbing off on me and I’m sure others. Why should we bother to waste time and money on them. FFS Chaddy, your blind optimism is absolutely baffling. Will it take as long as it did with Mowbray for the penny to drop with you?
  19. Spot on. I was thinking back to the Hull match being cancelled last minute last year. I was annoyed at the time, but in hindsight, it was a blessing. Lovely Boxing Day ruined by Rovers yesterday and salt rubbed in the already sore wounds by seeing that fucking idiot Mowbray celebrate like he’s just won the FA Cup. Three matches in the last five I really wanted us to win(Dingles, PNE and yesterdays) and they’ve let us down. I said to my lad at 90 minutes yesterday that we will concede from this free kick and that’ll be me done for a while if so. 10 seconds later they scored.
