They didn't let that equaliser stand for long. Get the impression they're in control. They haven't won yet tbf. -

Hard to see Coventry going on to anything other than a win at home to Reading now they're ahead. -

And ourselves, we're one of our biggest rivals too! Today has a last chance saloon feel. With the injuries too, we'd best be on our game. -

Not that I've watched them, but I expect it would mean Millwall wouldn't be competition right now and that we'd be a few points better off than from having played Morton instead. -

The only sign of encouragement is he implies (heart ruling head) that it's not what he thinks will actually happen. Guess we'll find out whether it's his heart or head that normally makes these predictions. -

Couldn't understand why we didn't get Styles as our Rothwell replacement. -
I know they're different positions, but nobody on this earth can persuade me that Vale was ready for the first team but Wharton wasn't.

There's a huge difference between 15 million, which is I believe a bit less than we lose each year generally, and 100 million. There are many many good reasons to criticise Venkys, but the books show they front us about 20 million most years to cover our losses. People like to pretend FFP isn't a problem (and at times, with imagination, it was avoidable, at the risk the league would possibly punish it when they felt like it, but those loopholes have increasingly closed), but it does put hard limits on what we can spend. 100 million (and of course we wouldn't get that for him unless we went to the Prem and he excelled there, before any smartass says it, this is hypothetical) completely outstrips those limits. Obviously we wouldn't spend the whole lot, a load of it would probably be reserved to cover wage increases and maybe future losses, and they may trouser a bit of it, but I'd expect about 30 million to be cleared for transfers, which huge in this league. Remember they spent 12 mill on BB and Gally before we had any such influx. If you think we'd get nothing at all, you're either exaggerating or letting your hate of Venkys (which I share) cloud your reasoning. The problem might come in the form of the new rules about wages to turnover, I think transfer fees count as turnover but not sure. We'd probably still have to be mindful of wages for when that money ran out though.

Why would Morton tell Klopp to get someone who is better than he is? Probably thanks his lucky stars he got in our team ahead of him for so long, and when he returns he already has Liverpool superstars to contend with. Besides, Liverpool will be well aware of him, I'm sure they have a good scouting network and keep tabs on our games, since Morton is here and they like to loan us players. I love Wharton and I hope he plays here for years and becomes top top drawer, but I'd definitely sell him for 100 million. It'd be madness not to. Players don't always improve, sometimes they regress, sometimes they get seriously injured. That sort of money could rebuild our whole team a la Burnley to make a serious promotion charge. If we were already in the Prem I'd still think about it, based on where he was at in his development at the time.

Did you mean to quote Matty Blue's post? I never implied we should sell him or that we're under pressure to. But while we're on the topic, pressure can always be applied by a player if they wish, we've seen it many times. And for all we know there could be a release clause in that contract like with the other Rovers 'fan' Jones. Hopefully neither of those comes to fruition. I really like this kid. He's what we were told Buckley would be.

Not when they're 1-0 down in the 95th minute they don't though. But agree in general we could be a bit bolder with that. Although a highly congested box is usually harder to break through than it proved last night, so there are times when that's the right approach. -
We're not a normal club, we can be very stubborn (sometimes to our detriment) with sales when we want to be. We may also get slightly longer out of him due to his being a fan and his brother playing here, but after the Phil Jones sale you can never be sure that means anything.

By all means, be an ass about it. Your snarky remark aside, I caught a possible moment where it seems to flash onto his hand as it comes in. The resolution was a bit poor though so it was hard to tell. I don't have Sky, this was Sky's website, where you can't slow the frames down. -

I watched the sky sports highlights last night, and it has 2 or 3 replays but I can't really see the handball, definitely not how some people are describing it (catching it). There's a lot going on in the box, very crowded, it obscures the view. Anybody got a replay that shows it clearly? Did look like he barged Pears over the line, definite foul but the ball was already past him and going in I think. -
I don't care about justifying the ticket allocation. Doesn't need justifying as far as I'm concerned. I don't see how trouble, damage and possibly people getting hurt 'plays into our hands'. I'd rather everyone enjoys a safe and trouble free evening. Although I don't care about justifying the ticket allocation, they and the police will likely and fairly point out that trouble outside of the DE was made more likely by a low ticket allocation causing Dingles to try to get seats in the home ends, which also makes it harder for the police and stewards to manage. Still the right call though, they shafted us so we returned the favour.

There's something to be said for having at least a bit of experience I'm the squad too though. Just no has-beens please!

I'd compare his intelligence and reading of the game at such a young age to Harvey Elliott. Very exciting potential, now Rovers and Adam just have to make the most of it.

I'm really not liking that it's almost a certainty they will celebrate being champions at Ewood one way or another. Either they wrap it up before they get here, and we are their party, or they wrap it up at Ewood which would be even worse. It's possible but unlikely that they botch both games, given they're the best side in the league. A guard of honour would be utterly unacceptable. And, I feel, dangerous, as it would aggravate a lot of our fans in what's already a bit of a tense situation at times. I can see it kicking off big time after the match, which hasn't really happened in recent times despite the constant security concerns. There has been the odd fracas but nothing to embarrass us on a national level. I worry that Burnley fans will invade the pitch, too, if champions before or after the game. Man City did it, why wouldn't these troglodytes? This would piss us off further, and I'd expect, like City, they will have some fans in our stands (a lot less Rovers fans will be willing to sell their tickets on than they were with City, but there'll be some, and also those who find a way around the system). I think a pitch invasion by this lot would result in Rovers fans going to meet them too. Obviously an ideal scenario is my fears are unfounded, and also that we end up denying them confirmation of the title in a game that means so much to us all. But I can definitely see this all going a bit Pete Tong.

Christ, Steele has forced his way into the Brighton first 11?! -
You'd think he's there to teach them a thing or two about shooting. Something JDT also knows about, but clearly they need even more help! There's probably a caption competition in this.

They're probably safe, too many teams below them that need to pick up points. It would be highly gratifying to stay up at their expense though! The good thing about that result though is it means Leicester still have some fight left, and they've still got to play West Ham.
