  1. Broken clock and all that though.
  2. Too hypothetical for me - I reckon we could sell him tomorrow for 10 million if the window was open and that was our price. Can't envision a scenario, major injury aside, in which we only get 8.
  3. I dunno, I'm not sure how that works that's why I'm asking.
  4. With him being Spanish, is he even available to British clubs under the new regs? League Two isn't a top league. Not sure how it works with players who currently have a work permit here once their existing contract expires.
  5. Sadly we have put ourselves in a position where it may not be feasible to ignore the loan market entirely. Largely because of *checks notes* relying on the loan market too much in the past. It may seem counterintuitive to rely on it again, but 5 more new players to add to the out of contract lot is likely too big an ask for the budget to get enough quality from. We can't rely wholesale on young players coming through. I agree with the sentiment, and I wouldn't want to see us get 5 again if we can help it, but realistically I'm not gonna be mad if we get 3. I'd understand the need to transition a bit.
  6. Power without responsibility shouldn't exist. I'm not saying it doesn't, just that it's reprehensible. But I agree from experience that responsibility without power is awful. The two should be in balance as much as possible.
  7. There is nothing intermittent about 8 points from 45. There's nothing 'perhaps' shit about constantly playing Gallagher wide and ignoring every single thing that doesn't work about our approach. It isn't just his mentality, but his tactics that have us in this mess. Teams figured us out with this approach after early successes, which involved a fair few opposition reds, and we haven't looked good or had a plan B since.
  8. Actually I'm going to go with 'Mowbray's ideas are very shit'.
  9. It usually has a preference for being around the 60 minute mark tbf.
  10. Brereton just has no killer instinct does he.
  11. Because Buckley finally had a little spell of looking like a player, and because Downing fancies another contract next year.
  12. We have been better this half, and unlucky to concede in it for a change. The ideal solution is obviously to change just under half the team with not long left. I'm sure that will improve the rhythm of the team.
  13. I saw this and was about to post that we know what happens next after we hit the woodwork three times.... ...but it had already happened.
  14. Yes, I don't want to acknowledge that that's a thing though.
  15. Great. We know what's coming out in Tony's presser now. 'We hit the post twice...if those go in...it's just those small margins'
  16. I think we look a bit better this half so far. More intent, and less porous. We will see if it stays that way.
  17. Tony must be mystified why a manager as experienced as McCarthy isn't playing Kiefer Moore as a flying winger.
  18. He clearly hasn't been in the games lately though. For once Tony was right, he needed to rest and be eased into proper shape. Unfortunately he was wrong to have been playing him prematurely in the first case.
  19. Oh look the goal comes from a counter attack, what a shocker!!!
  20. 'Good strike' according to the commentator. Said with a fair bit of enthusiasm too. I immediately said 'no it wasn't'.
  21. Not as much as he seems to cost us. Causes us problems every time.
  22. It's all just so tediously predictable, isn't it?
