  1. Leo was slowly improving through November after a rocky start, then he had a poor game at Sheff Wed and his game has completely fallen to pieces since. You can get away with ‘project’, ‘value add’ signings in other parts of the pitch, not in goal.
  2. We were just outside the play offs in mid December, it had obviously been a good season until then.
  3. There will be 4k home fans there (max) and they certainly won’t be the protesting sort.
  4. Won’t he? Dack left for free and we had an option on him too (we just didn’t bother taking it up). They will be more than happy to get rid of his wages.
  5. Still I shouldn’t criticise the recruitment/scouting team for throwing away a big chunk of our already pitiful budget on Leo as I couldn’t name a better Scandinavian 800k goalkeeper myself.
  6. Post the start of October we were either battering sides or winning/losing by an odd goal. I don’t recall much of ‘he’s no plan B’, ‘he won’t budge from his method’ and all the rest of it then. December started with Leo all over the place at Sheff Wed and it’s since descended into farcically bad defending and, yes, a manager that now seems reluctant to change course. First things first get Pears back in and at least you may have some semblance of calm back there.
  7. Big fan of the bloke but its a results business and we are hurtling down the table. Poor results in those three winnable home games coming up and he would go at any other football club regardless of budget, how he’s been shafted and all the rest of it -but I doubt it will even be discussed here and that is another symptom of this dysfunctional, ruinous ownership. No pressure on results at any time from the top down cannot lead to anything but malaise and horrendous drops in form at any professional club. So we can only hope he picks up some results as players get back fit as it’s our only hope - there’s no Warnock to the rescue here.
  8. You can talk about coaching but these are supposedly professional footballers, that first goal isn’t being scored at Blackburn Combination level.
  9. You can consider them all you want, just like folk on here did on TM’s death spirals, the owners however won’t be considering them at all - he’s here until he walks or his contract runs out.
  10. I can. We start a game well and get a goal in front, then yes. Especially with a slightly less calamitous keeper in goal. On the flip side we concede early, confidence goes, non-Teflon Jon starts getting grief and they will be some long afternoons.
  11. Of course JDT will now start to get it in the neck, managers always do (well apart from Teflon Tony) on the back of horror runs. But how much grief did these get owners today? And will get if results continue like this? Zero, I would wager - this fanbase has an almighty blind spot when it comes to diagnosing the root cause of this disastrous decade.
  12. Don’t be daft. He then took us to our best finish since being down here (yes, it’s been a shit decade, low bar, blah blah - but with the budget he had compared to what other managers got to spend on fees and wages it was a fair achievement).
  13. The thing is last season he did change it up on a regular basis. Possibly now he knows he’s off so he’ll just stick to his guns and his preferred method until he does.
  14. No wasn’t it they suggested calling it a ‘buy early discount’ instead of ‘£3 match day surcharge’?
  15. More likely to have fans on the pitch protesting against JDT than these owners.
  16. Next three games all at home against sides currently 21st/23rd/17th in Huddersfield/QPR/Stoke. Think we’ll have a decent idea one way or another after those how this season is going to pan out…
  17. You not there? Don’t family get complimentary tickets?
  18. Oh definitely, most clubs have seen an upsurge in both home and away support this past decade… alas the home surge has passed us by.
  19. Our followings are now consistently higher than what we were taking away in the 2000s as a Premier League club. This club still has a load of untapped potential despite what a load of our own small time fans will try and tell you.
  20. Think we’ll be ok in the end this season, but you’d imagine he’ll be giving it up as a bad job in the summer as the owners are back for a third time asking some court half way round the world permission to pay the club’s VAT bill.
  21. Moral of the story - hope to avoid Welsh clubs in the draw.
  22. It’s on BBC Wales.
  23. He’ll be going in the summer anyway, so he can get off the wage bill then. Maybe we shouldn’t be getting rid of our few experienced players and certainly our only experienced striker when on a horror run and hurtling down the table. None of this supposed £1 million will be spent so he may as well stay.
  24. Yep, he’s pretty average, but that still doesn’t answer my question - why is it a great idea to sell our only senior striker when the money won’t be spent on a replacement?
  25. Probably is for the best considering I’m not a professional football scout, analyst or recruiter. You seem to be posting this silly stuff a lot. ‘Well who would you sign with 200k from Germany then?’ We aren’t professionals, that’s what those at the club are paid for - and we judge who they bring in with those things called eyes.
