  1. We have fairly unique (ain’t that the truth) owners and for me it makes a sale seem unlikely in even the medium term (legal problems forcing one aside). One type of owner seem to be your old school local businessman, he’ll sell up when he realises he can’t take it any further or he’s sick of the abuse from ungrateful fans or he’s been given an offer he can’t refuse. Others are the US venture capitalist types, they just want to flip it for a profit at some point down the line or they lose their shirt, either way they’ll come and go. Others idealistic young-ish types like your fella at Sunderland, ‘data analysis’ and all that, they seem to soon get bored and get shut. Obviously not an exhaustive list, but you get my point, these owners have a finite lifespan. Here? Just another business in an unwieldy conglomerate that gets involved in everything from poultry and food production to vaccines to medicine to property. The overseas football club they own that was randomly bought a decade plus ago is losing money? Just tell the CEO to cut costs and we’ll speak in six months. I doubt a sale is even remotely on the horizon.
  2. ‘Online resources to guide you through’ they will come in handy for fans with no internet/smart phone.
  3. ‘Like five new signings!’
  4. You’re right of course, Joey, but hoping for some more crumbs in the future off bloody Bournemouth’s table. 🤦‍♂️
  5. As alluded to in the article, this can’t continue, how can any business, never mind a football club that lives and dies on player transfers operate in this manner. What is the plan if this carries on into the next quarter and the next?
  6. Of course he does, but to have no idea about the only ground improvement works going on, as well as having no idea about the Liverpool FC Night at his own stadium. Come on!
  7. How did Swag not know that either? Does he have any clue about what goes on at Ewood Park?
  8. No need to say more , think that’s pretty clear to what headway you think you can make with the supposed ‘leader’ on the ground. Good luck trying to engage with the organ grinders (and I mean that, no sarcasm).
  9. Ha! Such a Swag excuse I didn’t pick up on that. Really intrigued as to why a football club would look to remove all nods to its heritage, instead of, you know, embracing it.
  10. Hmmm, can’t say I remember that being mentioned at the time. But ok I’ll take it at face value. So repair them then or replace with something new, don’t just yank them down and ‘ah well 🤷‍♂️’
  11. I take he wasn’t asked about the removal of the JW Stand walkways timeline murals? If not, can it be asked in your next session, or by the FF in theirs? Maybe they can be salvaged out of that skip he mentioned if they weren’t just chucked in a Kidder Street back alley or somewhere.
  12. A big game against high flying Man Utd or Newcastle? Are we back in the mid 90s? Please say yes 🥺
  13. Easy enough to compare. We played Birmingham in the cup last January, disclaimer - it was the fourth round but there isn’t usually much difference for non-glamour ties between the 3rd and 4th round. There were just under 10k home fans there (9,910), this will probably see under 4k home fans. Another complete shambles overseen by this ridiculous commercial operation.
  14. Grafter is Pickering, but pretty limited as a Championship left back… but the squad has been allowed to get into such a state he’s the only one we have.
  15. Probably did need a refurb, decorated etc, no problem with that… but why was that then used as a pretext to remove the vast majority of Rovers related merchandise from a bar built in to the bloody Blackburn End of all places?!
  16. Sounds like he’s well on top of his brief.
  17. He’ll be delighted, it can be closed permanently for cup ties going forward.
  18. Not the VAT bill so the court case won’t allow that.
  19. Think you’re right on that one - certainly David May’s won’t be, they’ll be focusing on all those fantastic Man Utd games he… didn’t play in.
  20. You could well be right, and if so, not far off a million quid for a skint club on a development signing/back up is a fine example of the muddled thinking down there.
  21. So why isn’t the club advertising an event at Ewood Park if it’s a Rovers night too? Yes, it’s a third party organising it but maybe Rovers fans might be interested? Until I stumbled across that cheapo looking website by accident I’d never heard the first thing about these events.
  22. That many mess ups they never put their hands back down. Maybe stop making such ridiculous decisions to start with.
  23. Who could’ve foreseen that… certainly not the ‘Head of Consumer’.
  24. CEO’s make far dafter decisions then appointing JDT.
  25. Has it? Poor form since the 2nd December (after a good 18 months) has ‘absolutely battered’ his reputation?
