  1. The same ‘loyal’ Burnley whose gates were down to 10k or so as Dyche joined? End of the day it all comes down to the Ewood factor. QPR, Millwall have 14k on and it’s a busy ground, Ewood still looks empty. No we never really did ’sell out in the top flight’ and we wouldn’t if we went up again as 30k is just not a crowd we’d ever get every week as a small town club surrounded by other league clubs. A ground built for when we were looking to challenge for the league title and looking to attract support from across the region, not for being PL midtable and certainly not for the pleasure of watching a mediocre second division team for a decade (now at top 6 prices to boot). But to be fair you can’t expect opposition fans to know all that, they just see a 60% empty ground each week, ergo ‘shit support’.
  2. Mascots having to turn up in their own kit, the first team can’t swap shirts. Back to the mid 80s… Billionaire Owners Edition.
  3. Typical bottle job when it comes to penalties. The exact same fouls are given outside the box time after time.
  4. So it’s fine for head coaches to have never played, but not coaches? Interesting.
  5. Do you need to be an ex pro to be a good coach?
  6. The ‘good football’ thing shows the influence of a media narrative. Apart from a couple of exciting months in his last season up to Christmas. When did we play this swashbuckling football under TM?
  7. Parachute clubs often still seem to have that PL mentality where they expect daft fees for average players.
  8. He’s a keeper coach, but he’s small, seems to be how it started.
  9. This ‘positive mindset’ thing is half the problem with those you see defending the owners on social media. I get that Twitter etc can be toxic places, but there has been an overcorrection now to where you cannot say anything deemed ‘negative’ against the status quo, indeed they would be wounded to be called ‘negative’, it would go against their whole online persona so they double down. ‘Be kind’ and all that (yet they’ve no problem being unkind to you if you point out their naivety). A real ‘positive mindset’ would be demanding change, wanting a new dawn for this grand old institution not blindly defending an ownership that has ruined their football club.
  10. They won’t be changing the manager, so you best get ready for League 1
  11. Of course there’s loads of shite stealing a living at all levels at this club - but it is these owners that keep these incompetents in position indefinitely. Invested owners would never have appointed a Waggott to a CEO position or at least they’d have had him out the door years ago, but in reality he’ll go when he fancies after cleaning the fools out for even more ill gotten dosh. Same goes for the fact they’ve sacked one manager in 8 years and this one won’t be either, he’ll go when he’s had enough or someone offers him a life raft. Not normal, not healthy. Their very detachment is a major part of why we are in this mess
  12. Good to read, but as always only when pressed do you actually get to the root cause, unlike everyone else, which I still find really odd as you obviously aren’t an idiot.
  13. Is TM more to blame for the state of Blackburn Rovers than any other set of people? Yes or no?
  14. So TM is more to blame for the mess of this club than anyone else? What a ridiculous take.
  15. It’s largely the fault of a manager that left in 2022 for the shit show that is this football club? Well, it’s a view.
  16. If your day hadn’t been bad enough…
  17. I’m just down from you and nobody did around me, some clapped, some nodded. But at the end of the day plenty of folk said ‘fuck off ya pricks’ even in 2011/12, some are just beyond reasoning with. But talking to people today the tide is definitely turning.
  18. Only highlight of today was audible Venky’s Out chants in NO1, been a long, long time since I’ve heard that. And it was the owners they went after not the manager as is the norm. Was it the whole ground? No, but then it never has been. But it was a decent number and interestingly it wasn’t followed by a load of other fans telling them to shut it. From small acorns…
  19. ‘Setanta’ another media company that came and went.
  20. Doubt it, Henderson playing at lower league level and Kalvin Phillips just doesn’t play and they are certs for his squad.
  21. All depends on how we finish the season, plenty of home wins and a fair few waverers will renew in the end, for most it is all about what goes on on the pitch, and it’s not as if Sky have taken much interest this season to inconvenience the fans either. On the flip side this home form carries on till May and we really could be looking at sales even worse than the sub 7k we sold in 2021/22 which I thought had to be the nadir - but no this ‘club’ can always outdo itself.
  22. Because we’ve been terrible since November. Football fans moods and motivation to turn out are based on results and having been through this horror run and now with four home games on the bounce, the one that is on a January night, on TV and not part of your season ticket is the one most will swerve.
  23. Yep. ‘What about selling Sammie to help the financial situation? Other players can step up like me and Sutty did after Shearer. Leonard can do that’. Then some sense from our Herby replying - ‘Not now as it will go in an owner black hole’.
  24. Pining for St Anthony of Yarm.
  25. This is the problem when sales are so low go start with, it doesn’t take much in the prior season, be if results, be it Sky pissing everybody about, be it the general mess of this football club for sales to end up at levels that wouldn’t stand out in League 2.
