  1. Still don’t understand why Welsh TV gets two extra live matches a round.
  2. Everybody knows there are serious financial problems here, it’s pretty bloody obvious- but has the penny finally dropped with who’s at the root of it all? For many I’d say not. It’s currently the Indian government’s fault (and JDT’s, of course). If the case goes badly, then it will be an Indian judge’s fault.
  3. No you are right they would be. Try a mere ‘Venky’s out!’ chant and see what reaction you’d get, never mind a tennis ball lobbed on the pitch. But let’s see what happens on Saturday - will the tide have turned on the back of this becoming public domain? You’d hope so, but I sincerely doubt it.
  4. Let them respond first, ay? Agree with the media, so it’s a good thing this has now emerged. As for crowds, they’ve collapsed under their reign, as a latest example we’ll probably have one of our lowest FA cup turnouts ever coming up - they don’t give a flying feck. If just me and Chaddy turned up next season they’d just put us in the dugout and close the stands, great - more costs saved.
  5. Anybody trying to say JDT is worse than Coyle has to be taking the piss, can’t be any other explanation.
  6. I’m a member of the Trust, I’ll await their approach and response. @Mike Graham Not sure a press release from the ‘desk of Mattyblue’ will quite get the same traction.
  7. ‘Lose credibility as a fanbase’. Lose credibility with who? The whole fanbase will lose credibility, will they? Nonsense. It’s a story, it will get reported as football finances always do, Kieran Maguire has made a nice side hustle out of it. Was it ‘settled’? Yes? But is the club now heading back to an Indian court in order to once again merely meet its basic financial obligations - I.e the bills. Also yes. So it is obviously an important development, even if a couple of folk on here oddly just try and sweep it under the carpet. Of course it’s a story and the fans quite rightly should be aware.
  8. Sounds like you are annoyed that he has released something you were happy to sit on - keep the mushrooms in the dark, ay? All power to Mike and the Trust I say. How do we, the fans, remove the clowns at Ewood then? They are doing the job the owners want them to do. Cut costs, head down and crack on. They’ll go when either the owners choose to appoint someone else, they retire or they’ll be booted out the door with the owners themselves. This isn’t going to ‘deflect’ anything, the fans already know that something is going on, a look at the events of this season tells them that, court cases in India for approval to merely pay the bills tells them that - this just confirms it, ‘history’ or not.
  9. Why shouldn’t this be in the public domain ? It’s a threatened winding up order on our beloved football club. We have a right to know. Why will it deflect from Ewood, I.e Swag? The bloke is a powerless chancer most fans don’t give a shit about anyway Why will it deflect from results? Fans know this run of form is a combination of a shit window, no money, a small, young and generally poor squad and a manager that has gone into stubborn Plan A only mode. This development just emphasises it.
  10. Anyway six months late but it’s out now. Which can only be a good thing from a owner reputation point of view - a few scales may start falling out of a few fans’ eyes. Only a few for now I’d wager as for plenty of fans it will now be the fault of the bad old Indian judiciary/government, not our benevolent owners doing everything they can to keep us from being Bury mk2.
  11. I know, as I was saying that’s what was posted tonight to get the thread moving. News of winding up orders, be they threatened or otherwise have not surfaced until about an hour ago. Think the reaction in this thread makes that clear.
  12. A few talked about serious cash flow issues early summer, probably was Glen, Andy was another. Maybe Booth too. But a winding up order has not been mentioned anywhere until tonight (if it had we’d have been on O2G, K-Hod and the like to raise it in the FF for a start)- ergo why this thread (and Twitter) has got rather busy.
  13. Indeed, but it’s ok as it happens to sole traders and the like all the time.
  14. Nowt to worry about as it was only a threatened winding up order… oh but then an Indian court case, then a swinging budget cut, then a closed Blackburn End, then loaning out two senior players to ease cash flow, then another Indian court case.
  15. This HMRC stuff wasn’t ‘discussed to death’ and you know that very well as otherwise this thread wouldn’t have just exploded. Really struggling with this approach from you tonight, Glen. Quite poor actually considering you always like to shout from the rooftops about how ‘you call a spade a spade’, ‘open and honest’ and all that. Fans quite rightly feel they’ve been in the dark for 12 months.
  16. And you didn’t think of mentioning it on here? Quite important, no? Far more so than some other small time nonsense Swag is getting up to.
  17. Unlike Joe Bloggs Plumbers of Mill Hill, professional football clubs don’t usually keep winding up orders quiet as you know very well. Of course there’s usually a note on the official site etc. Very odd stance here Glen, I’m surprised.
  18. It obviously hasn’t been in the public domain as it’s not been in any press/media, any club statement or interview or a Fans Forum of any sort. ‘Oops did nobody mention on here for *seven months* that little winding up order thing?’ It may well have been ‘dealt with’, just like the next one probably will be post some other Indian court appointment, but it has been anything but transparent.
  19. Careful now, his dad will be logging back on in a minute!
  20. Well timed FF last week. So that’s three months or whatever until they need to bother taking to/stonewalling fans about it.
  21. I see, so we were just kept in the dark for seven months instead, sounds about right…
  22. Presumably because April was pre one of their Indian court hearings, so no cash flow? But then again wasn’t it July we were told all this palava started? But in the here and now as long as they keep getting the green light every 3 months from the court this ridiculous state of affairs will continue and any winding up petitions etc will be batted away? I suppose these green lights are continually given, until they aren’t.
  23. This is the problem when you try and be a ‘development’ club at Championship level. Embarrassing to have this standard of goalkeeping in the Championship - well embarrassing for us fans, presumably ‘the club’ aren’t bothered or they wouldn’t be taking such risks for such a vital position in the first place. But then there’s probably some ‘metric’ in which Leo and Pears are a success, sure we’ll be hearing about it on a podcast. Not a serious set up and in reality it deserves to end up in League 1.
  24. Of course. But if people are expecting Reading style stuff to happen here any time soon they are going to be disappointed.
  25. Coyle was sacked in the February with the club 23rd in the table three points adrift. A silly comparison but then you’ve always had a bizarre soft spot for ‘Coyley’.
