  1. Never played them competitively, can’t think of a first team friendly either…
  2. Sure you only get 800/900 or so tickets so will definitely sell out as a new ground … get those 1875 memberships bought!
  3. You really think these owners pay close enough attention for that to be their reasoning?
  4. It’s the one footed-ness of Hedges that drives me mad. (Yes, I know it’s not just him, modern football is full of them, but his seems particularly prominent).
  5. Always hard to tell with yon mon…
  6. Who did? This place was aghast that he even got his own flag (put on a pedestal with Jack Walker of all people!), so I can’t remember the clamour to also build him a statue (well, unless it was tongue firmly in cheek).
  7. Bootle? It’s on Bramley Moor Dock, no?
  8. Actually a decent bit higher since JDT came in (fans are canny, they know when a manager is arsed about it), 6k for consecutive League Cup first rounds, highest FA Cup 3rd round last season for donkeys years. Similar or indeed a higher gate than many similar sized clubs last night… yet still folk slag off our support.
  9. Of course it was a decent turnout in *the context* of the League Cup first round.
  10. The Super League is already here, UEFA had the chance to put the elite clubs back in their place post the ESL insurrection, they bottled it and have created an even more unfair Champions League format instead, ‘the Swiss model’.
  11. Motivation is huge factor in football, if you are just a little bit off it other pro teams, even divisions below, can beat you. The players obviously knew the manager wasn't arsed and that filtered down.
  12. Yep, just a typical Mogga season in the end… but I’m sure this place will spend this season glued to another one up there.
  13. Then we turned it round, went on a barnstorming run and flew into the top 2. That’s football. His cup record however can’t be defended. Shocking from day one. (Will the bloke have to have retired to his lemon drizzle before this place stops going on about him everyday, by the way? 😁)
  14. Now it’s is a bogey ground bizarrely, collection of largely crap results since they moved…
  15. Hosting a friendly when your season has already kicked off… now that is smalltime 😬 Though I’m sure the actual plastics of Preston will have enjoyed watching ‘their team’ for once.
  16. It was a very good turn out on the day, c5,000 walk ons. But those walk ons can’t make up for the fact we have fewer than 9,000 ST holders, so we’ll remain at the bottom end of that particular table all season. But I’m certainly not going to hand wring about it, we know what needs to happen to counter it: sell more season tickets. But that won’t happen until we have a CEO that is willing to go down the PNE/Bolton route, unfortunately it isn’t that North East sounding bloke who recently emerged from his bunker, even if he does ‘come across really well’.
  17. Just as bad are those that have each reply to a thread cascading further across the homepage, Luton’s for example. 😵‍💫 Long live brfcs.com
  18. This place is an oasis of calm and rationality in comparison to that forum…
  19. Generous gesture until you realise we probably have a few dozen ST holders.
  20. Let’s see how long all this lasts, every August is the same re ‘directives’ usually runs out of steam very quickly.
  21. My reputation proceeds me (Don’t tell Gav 😀) I’d imagine we’ll have a decent following there, 1,600 or so, but not quite the full 1,900. They’ll probably add more tickets in the morning.
  22. It’s an enormous step up from League 1. Some big clubs at the top end of it these days, but there’s also a dozen plus sides down there that you can stroll past if you have a decent budget.
  23. It was over before it started…
  24. When did footballers stop being able to use both feet?
