  1. Every summer was on Channel 4 (post BBC losing the rights), winter tours on Sky. The Oval 2005 was the last Test on Channel 4 before Sky took the lot.
  2. Very Blackburn, not sure it even got as far as Accy. My local chippy back in the day at Four Lane Ends used to do one.
  3. I’m telling you what was happening at this Test, I was there, as was the other Matt. A lack of portable toilets obviously wasn’t the ‘overwhelming experience’ I took from watching a cracking Test match, but 30 minute plus queues for the bogs was a poor look for such a marquee occasion. It’s called constructive criticism of a club you support, just like it is if there’s some issue at Ewood.
  4. Difference being at OT there is an enormous temporary stand without the infrastructure to support it, ergo half an hour plus wait for blokes to go for a pee, I’ve never seen that apart from at a festival, certainly not at football grounds.
  5. Trent Bridge is a lovely ground, OT is a total mish mash with facilities that can’t cope when it’s full.
  6. They have 18,500 home fans in their hovel most weeks, so 👏 all round for such tremendous figures at a club that’s spent years in the PL with an odd season winning the division below. We have about 12/13,000 after a terrible decade. Maths also not a strong point over there.
  7. ‘This summer window is massive… err forget that all about January… err no big moves happen in January… NEXT summer is the one!’ ”This time next year Rodders…”
  8. It’s the way this club is operated. Have a look at the latest Fans Forum minutes as proof of that. Tony Parkes tribute? Still being ‘looked into’ four years later. Engaging fans in outlying areas? The FF members themselves have to do the donkey work. So of course matchday initiatives have to be sorted by fans too. Some number they have down there…
  9. Well we played this exact opposition in 2016 and there was a crowd of 2,100. So if double turn out this time, ergo it must be deemed a success.
  10. He’s one of those pub bores, I imagine; ‘well acthhhully…’
  11. Pretty sure that never happened and why would it. He was a 21 year old who’d just made 31 appearances the previous season in the Dutch top flight and cup (and was on the bench for all other games, so missed zero games through injury), so why would he be written off as a ‘total crock’?
  12. They’re good at that!
  13. So they are *still* looking into a Tony Parkes tribute about four *years* since it was first brought up.
  14. There’s barely enough toilets without the scaffolding stand, ridiculous when it’s up. About 10 extra portable loos with 15 minute queues even during the sessions. Dread to think at the intervals.
  15. With 7,000 seats at £45? No chance.
  16. Cheers Willy, nicer send off than the missus gave me. 😁
  17. They’ve accepted that Crawley will have a fair few poor innings as around the corner is a match winning one. Playing the percentages and all that, Baz and Stokes are obviously more data driven than they let on! I’m off there shortly… at least I chose Friday, Saturdays forecast! 😩
  18. But 4 whole hundred up on this time last year. What a salesman he is 👌
  19. Yeah as no other club will be offering Leeds 7,000+ tickets, there’s no chance Swag will be turning down a £45 a pop Darwen End… Rovers fans? Feck them.
  20. What a guy he is, always thinking of us Rovers supporters. 💙🤍
  21. He’s looking into it! It will soon be in the long weeds at Ewood with all the rest…
  22. Hope you’re right, I can see 3/4k or so, which is plenty when you look at previous Ewood friendlies.
  23. Birdy will, Chadster, that bloke on the FF that is obsessed with player postcards.
  24. You have to post it on the non football board, the thread was moved there, not very progressive of the Mods, is it! 😁
