  1. You know I don’t think he actually is when it comes to tickets. He’s here for a limited time and he knows it, he’ll presumably be on for targets, bonuses etc for hitting certain revenues. That’s the problem when you have a revolving door of Chief Execs, they obviously will have little incentive to look to the long term growth of a fanbase…
  2. You’re a better man than me, I don’t even talk football with Blackburners of said description.
  3. I’m not justifying it, but that is the rationale of Swag, like it or not (and obviously I don’t like it!). End of the day we are on the cusp of something here and if we had a Chief Exec that had any interest in the long term health of the club over short term revenue, he’d be doing everything possible to get as many ROVERS fans as possible into Ewood Park, not trying to fleece 2000 away supporters whilst pricing out your own. This season could be absolutely transformative, and ticket pricing could make a big difference as Ewood is a transformed place and you can see it in the team when crowds hit 16,17k plus…
  4. That’s exactly why we asked our nephew who his two favourite players were… so Dolan on the back it was!
  5. Reason 1 is obviously away support, if the game had been against Reading it wouldn’t be Cat A. Reason 2 I would agree is trying to do that. But there is obviously a middle ground between undercutting ST holders and Cat A.
  6. It’s not even about ‘cut price’, though I’m always open to that, but just the nonsense of charging £36 (THIRTY SIX) to sit in the JWU for a game straight after an expensive Xmas and new year for most folk, to watch a second division game against Huddersfield Town! Laughable really, but the joke is on the club as Swag will have fecked off elsewhere soon enough after his disastrous tenure.
  7. He looked past his prime but he was only 29 when we signed him, Brad being in his late 30s when he left, night and day in professionalism.
  8. My brother in law has just started taking his 6 year old lad, he didn’t commit to a ST for them as he wasn’t sure if he’d take to it (he loves it, by the way). He’s a JWU man, as many match day buyers are ,and it’s costing him around £50 a time for matches against the mighty West Brom and PNE in the second division - he’s lucky enough to be able to afford it, but many can’t (or won’t) pay such insane pricing.
  9. Of course, but this guy had been England number 1 for a few years and he was still a mile off him. Nice one ‘Guv’nor’ 🤦‍♂️
  10. After Brad, it was amazing how much of a downgrade Robinson, much younger, all those England caps, was.
  11. Also shows how they actually don’t have a feel for the sport and/or fan culture, at all. An actual football man would spot that Hudds are playing in the cup at Burnley the week after, where they will likely take plenty due to prices probably in the £15/20 bracket, so of course a switched on administrator wouldn’t then price a game just after an expensive Xmas and new year at £30, as many of their fans will likely be making a choice of one or the other… and it ain’t going to be us. Drives me mad, but not to worry, we have a forum member who has the ears of them down there telling them what’s what…
  12. Of course, they collapse at almost comically regular intervals, 1st innings or second innings from the mighty Ireland at Lord’s to pretty much everybody on the road… but Adelaide in recent years has seen both teams collapse due to the unique nature of the swinging ball the day nighter brings, England’s only hope is to come out on top of a low scorer, as I imagine they’ll wilt in the more traditional conditions at Melbourne and Sydney.
  13. End of the day you get £30 million for AA and BB on a £10 million outlay and that talk of the ‘model’ from a few years back, I.e invest in young English forwards as they have the potential for high sell ons has worked out perfectly. Kudos to all involved (though SG isn’t exactly pulling up tress but you can’t win them all). Though, that is only half a model. The whole point is surely to now go back to the market with some of the cash for the next potential AA/BB, the rest can obviously go to plug losses, running costs and all the rest of it. However, if all the £30 million now goes to plug losses, then we are just kicking the can down the road to the next crisis when there’s neither fixed assets or sellable players to keep the FFP wolf from the door…
  14. Usual stuff; muddled selections, poor spinner, collapses. Hopefully Broad and Anderson in a more swing friendly day nighter at Adelaide gets us back in it, lose that and it could get very messy down there, again.
  15. https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11688/12491491/qprs-chris-willock-and-mark-warburton-win-sky-bet-championship-november-awards Galileo, Newton, Warburton.
  16. I ‘find fault’ with certain aspects of the club, well those running it, because I love Blackburn Rovers and want the best for it, so if I think Steve Waggott is a carpet bagging charlatan well out of his depth, then I’ll say so. Doesn’t make me ‘negative’, or mean I’m ‘not getting behind the club’, as WE are the club, these administrators are just the ones managing it until the next lot.
  17. Well of course it was available at times, that was my point…
  18. It happened in both the last two seasons…
  19. If this was a one off on the back of uniquely popular kits in the midst of a global supply chain crunch, then fair enough. But still waiting for an answer to why we ran out pre Covid, pre Brexit throughout every season under Umbro too? Didn’t recall those kits being a ‘roaring success’…
  20. If you don’t agree with me, you are ‘negative’. The age old brfcs go to line of a poster that has tied himself in knots.
  21. Normal , professional sport clubs don’t have their flagship merchandise product - replica kits, out of stock for months at a time, EVERY season (note how 1864 seems to keep ignoring the fact that the not particularly exciting Umbro stock was nowhere to be seen half the time either, so what was the excuse then?) ! Can’t believe what I’m reading.
  22. ‘Well I’m sure everyone that is interested has already bought one’ should be the motto of the club, as it seems to be the mantra for everything down there; be it kits, tickets, sponsorship,
  23. Doesn’t seem very likely, but then he only has a few months left on his contract. Obviously this is all hypotheticals - but if he’s had word that no contract is forthcoming here, and another club, be it Ipswich or some other, is putting, say, a three year deal on the table, then a fella aged 58, with a young family, knowing it may well be his last multi year deal, would obviously have to give it some thought…
  24. Once again, they run out of stock every season. They ran out of stock this season in late August, finally got them back on sale well into autumn , and have now run out again before Christmas! But this is ‘Good business’ and ‘a sales dream’ ! Dear me, and this is from someone who supposedly has the club’s ear to tell them of their shortcomings, they must really fear your forensic examinations 🙄
