  1. It’s a make or break week, in reality. Play off rival at home, two relegation threatened teams away. We could have made another resurgence and in our grasp or it will be all over.
  2. To be fair it obviously isn’t true we ‘have nothing to play for’. 3 points away in mid March with a home game against a rival on Saturday. Alas, what probably is true is that we don’t have the bottle or quality to prevent our ‘season from fading out’ over the next few weeks.
  3. But he won’t be potted, I know it, you all know it. We can all engage in hypotheticals about potential replacements, but he’s well in with the owners and the Chief Exec, there’s not the merest indication he’s under any pressure, so he will be here in August.
  4. Aye, not sure how anyone could think TM hasn’t supported youth, there’s been times this season when nearly half the outfield team on the pitch have been academy grads.
  5. Bloody hell, take a day off Mash
  6. It’s poor quality in many ways, but there’s nowt between about 20 clubs, it’s easily the best competition in the country.
  7. It does make it seem ‘good’ value, but if minuscule numbers of people buy it, it obviously wasn’t. An average of £17 a game is good value for fans like us, after all we buy a ST as we expect to be at Ewood week after week and plan our lives around it. We expect that discount on match day prices and our seat as a trade off for us committing hundreds of pounds in advance to the club. A floating fan doesn’t plan their life around the club, they ‘float’ in and out. They definitely won’t be spending £70 to £100 in advance for a 4 game package with maybe half of them on TV. Yet, the match day prices will put them off and they won’t bother at all! The bundles never sell, yet we keep doing them year after year. The only reason being so they can price match tickets at £30 to £40 to fleece away supports, whilst saying ‘but you can get your bundle, you’ll save!’, either not realising (or caring) that the floating fan base in March aren’t interested in multi game packages or they’d have bought a full/half ST, so they just won’t come at all. ‘But we try everything’. Nope you try the same things time and time again, knowing they don’t work, but they can point to bundles and say ‘look £17 Bundles and they still don’t bother, so we have to charge £40’ and the usual suspects lap it up, ‘yeah part time bastards, get behind the club’ They would if you met their buying habits!
  8. Didn’t know he’d been playing as a striker? But when he does play centrally (rarely)... two goals at PNE, goal last week, goal at Sheff Utd. Be fair, Statto!
  9. The short sightedness of the club really riles me. We win today and we’ve every chance, so what does the club do? Makes the next three games Cat A or Cat A+ . So £30 -£45 for the Jack Walker (£33 to £48 on the day). Yep, nearly FIFTY POUNDS! Bristol City has been advertised all season as Cat B, but has now been upgraded to Cat A too. Obviously done to make the Final Four bundle seem better value, which is canny or cynical, take your pick, but as we know plenty of floating fans aren’t interested in bundles, especially with two out of the 4 likely to be on Sky, and pick their games. They’ll take one look at those prices and watch it on Sky/dodgy stream. There’s a great chance to ride some momentum here, which all helps the atmosphere and potential crowds for next season, but squandered so they can rake it in off away fans.
  10. To be fair 90 Minutes and HITC aren’t exactly gospel! We stay down and no chance, we go up you could see him having another year here.
  11. Lovely that Atko... bet your gaff is full of Willow Tree ornaments
  12. The modern game doesn’t really produce them anymore. Lenihan isn’t a bad 2020 edition, especially for leadership qualities, you can see the difference to the entire team when he doesn’t play.
  13. The new Bond film has been delayed from its release . Could well see cinemas shut.
  14. UK Government, sport governing bodies and broadcasters meeting on Monday. Behind closed doors could be the outcome.. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/51777154
  15. Magnennis is stealing a living.
  16. They’ll come in handy next season.
  17. Derby win tomorrow and they’ll fancy making it with a late surge. Crackers division.
  18. I’d feel sorry for him if he wasn’t such an arrogant arse.
  19. Apart from the fact that before your time on here, Venky employees have been regular posters.
  20. Yeah I remember that, the entire Jack Walker was packed from what I recall.
  21. A few go now, either as cast offs or late in their careers. In the 80s and early 90s it was elite players, especially when English teams were banned from European competitions.
  22. Souness, Jimmy Greaves, John Charles, David Platt, Trevor Francis, Ian Rush, Des Walker, Ray Wilkins, Denis Law. Loads for Sampdoria, who I always looked out for as my Great Grandma was from Genoa.
  23. Ha it was ‘Goalazzo!’ But everyone thought it was ‘Goal Lazio’, because, you know, Gazza! Anyone else love the Gazetta review show on a Saturday morning, but thought the live games on a Sunday were usually terrible?
