  1. That’s what the other fan groups are there for!
  2. Who says he has to go to a long ball team? Many promising technical footballers have gone on loan from day dot, all part of learning your trade, why would Buckley be any different?
  3. Around Barnsley at home, maybe, but since then I don’t get that impression at all, in fact I can’t remember a manager as staunchly backed in ‘real life’ as this mon. Possibly Hughes c2007 (remember that?We were top 6 in the PL and gallivanting around Europe and cup semi after cup semi).
  4. 19. Spent a couple of years on loan in Germany first as he couldn’t get a work permit.
  5. So if someone doesn’t agree with you that JRC was ‘excellent’, that means they are not ‘giving him a chance’? and ‘you despair’?
  6. Of course Ipswich fans aren’t going to be happy about being outside the promotion places in the third division. They haven’t been at this level for over 60 years.
  7. Sorry thought we were talking about league debuts. September ‘09 was a cup tie.
  8. I was just going off Wiki. Made his league debut in March 2010 against Chelsea (Drogba in his pocket), Wiki has his DOB as February 1992.
  9. Phil Jones had just turned 18 for his league debut.
  10. Au contraire, they are part of the Palatine...red rose on the badge proves it if nowt else!
  11. Once again, we don’t have cheap tickets (oh and by the way we are just below mid table for average crowds, not great, but we aren’t Accy Stanley).
  12. If the combination of this shambolic window and injuries leads to JRC emerging as a regular like Travis then that’s a silver lining. No journeymen brought in the block his progress. I’d say Buckley too, but he needs to be out on loan himself. Like BB, 5/10 minutes every few weeks does nobody any favours.
  13. You keep saying this. Maybe in 2012 we did. Our tickets are now at least standard price for the league and in fact considerably expensive than a good number in the division. Match tickets, £22-£40. Season tickets £350 -£500. Now we’d all like to see bigger numbers through the gate for a whole host of reasons, income generation but one, however they ain’t ‘cheap’ these days.
  14. Quoted a ghost post there, JH! Busy day for the mods incoming..
  15. To be fair Wigan was a bit of a unique situation as it was the day before Christmas Eve. So a lot of floating fans and exiles home for Xmas got their festive fix for a knockdown price. Ergo biggest home turnout in the Championship for years.
  16. Well that’s lovely Masher, not sure I’d want you negotiating like.
  17. Tony said he was, today! “I’m not a great negotiator, I like to be honest and tell people what I think things are worth. If I don’t want to do it, I’m not coming back with another price. But that’s probably naïve”
  18. Who said he wasn’t a steal?
  19. That you are taking yourself far too seriously?
  20. Difference being, the Del Boy he is, he would’ve have drove a hard bargain, unlike ‘how much do you want’?, Mogga
  21. Hell fire, it’s an internet message board, not a meeting of the Mafia 5 Families.
  22. Seems all very Barry Fry circa 1994.
  23. Why is Mowbray negotiating?
