As you know I totally disagree and I’m not seeing much in the way of ‘marginal gains’ from it either with our home performances. But surely Coar must be in cloud cuckoo land with the rest of them down there if he thinks Ewood will look in any way a positive ‘visual spectacle’ today (on or off the pitch).
-
Club are expecting 1,500 to buy that 3 game ticket. Why? Hasn’t it been put on the record with the FF that these match bundles never particularly sell more than a few hundred? Why would it be different this time, especially with the club at a bit of low ebb. Also, they hope being on TV will show Ewood as a good visual spectacle and we get shown again. An enormous empty stand behind one of the goals ain’t going to help with that, is it!? All very odd decision making down there. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17978793.rovers-aiming-boost-atmosphere-income-ewood-games/

Don’t agree. Lenihan and Williams are ok Championship players. Bell is not good enough for this level. -

Come off it ODB, social media is a cesspit, largely faceless idiots trying to stir up tension, it in no way reflects our fan base. -
A decade in and the tail is still wagging the dog.
-
Indeed. One of the cheapest games at £24, 10 minutes on the train or simple drive, Saturday 3pm, cracking town centre for pubs, our only daytime local away this season. Ticks every box. So no excuses. However, it is a fine example of the massive malaise that has engulfed this club the past decade, it was briefly masked by the League 1 local novelty away days at Bury, Rochdale, Oldham et al, but that has now worn off and the club is truly in a rut on and off the pitch.
-
Couldn’t give a toss about them as a club, but always a cracking day out (until 3pm anyway).
-
Cracking for a few ales too. One stop on the train from Blackburn station. We sold out with weeks to go last season, could easily have flogged 7k. This season it will probably be 3k (max). As soon as our form started nosediving I could see this occurring.

So does Mowbray... -
By the sounds of this we won’t be selling out... https://www.pnefc.net/news/2019/october/home-clashes-with-leeds-and-blackburn-now-on-sale/

Leeds probably will, but Sheff Wed haven’t brought more than a couple of thousand for donkeys years, and they certainly won’t at £40. Honestly don’t see the point. Loads of clubs rip off away fans in the Championship, picking out Sheff Wed is very strange.
-
Always happy to see offers, alas these multi game ticket rarely do much. Was it less then a 100 that bought the 6 game one last season? A no strings, one off game for £10-15 anywhere in the ground for a 3pm has much more chance of being a success, yet the club rarely does it. As for the £15 discount for Sheff Wed, I don’t see what choice they had as you aren’t seeing Rovers fans shelling out £40+ for a run of the mill Championship game.

To be fair, Blackburn centre certainly does have enough pubs for a pre game crawl, with a *slight* resurgence this past couple of years. Its just a load of them are of the ‘rough and ready’ variety - Zy Bar, Bar Ibiza, The Sun, Sam’s Bar etc. -
The ‘city status’ hasn’t helped their delusions of grandeur. Means bugger all if half the ‘city’ support the glory clubs.

With our home games generally hidden away on Quest, an empty DE doesn’t really register. But it’s going to make Ewood look awful on Saturday. -
Coyle obviously has a lot of contacts in the media/agency side of the game, especially around here. More so than Teeside Tony. Case in point the clownshoe is never off 5 Live these days, chatting his unique brand of nonsense direct from Salford Quays.
-
You reckon? Our profile as a club is subterranean these days, it wouldn’t get much more than a passing mention, I’d wager.
-
Hope TM is reading his thread. ’Old fella selling the Sport Pink’ ‘the bus home’, ‘transistor radios’ ‘no injury time’, ‘teleprinters’. Marvellous.

From the ‘Fans Jury’ in the LT... Greg Cunningham has arguably been Tony Mowbray's best bit of business this year. He hasn't wowed me, but he's brought balance, consistency and inspired confidence in all around him. I personally think Amari'i Bell is a better player with better athleticism and technical ability, he just lacks the self-assurance that Cunningham has developed which counts for so much more. Kelvin Wilkins Time to dismiss them m’lord.

Good interview in the Bolton News with Keith Hill the other week on this... ‘I will go in and have a game of headers in the morning and I can do two or three hundred with David Flitcroft but I can do eight with a young player and that really does concern me,” he said. “Things like that have to be worked on. It’s nobody’s fault but it’s the individual players’ career. And all it takes it getting a ball out in the morning“ “These young players have an unbelievable opportunity. It isn’t mine – I am already here – and I have a ball in my hand every single morning. “I go into the gym and see them all doing shoulder presses, bench presses, sit ups and then I ask them to do a little bit of two-touch and the ball is all over the place. So it’s that relationship with the ball that we are looking at as much as we possibly can, developing them. It is difficult being a young player nowadays because they don’t go through the upbringing that we did,” he said. “It is a different dynamic now. The young players need to know there is real pain in winning and it is not just given to them. You have to test and stress these players in a football environment’

This is a Blackburn Rovers forum, so we probably won’t think you mean Doncaster if you mention ‘Rovers’, that’s how we refer to the club on here, just like we do in real life. You should have noticed that before you started your trolling and gave yourself away.

c11,800 Bolton fans so pretty much exactly what we are pulling in... and they are bottom of League 1 without a win all season.
-
They’ve ‘around 9,000 ST holders’, like us a few of those will be complementaries etc, not 9,000 purchases so could still be around or behind our 8,600 sales that ends up around 9,600 ‘holders’ Still a good effort by them, element of siege mentality, but also good deals like a ‘family ticket’ - adult and child for £250.

Can’t? Or won’t?
