I was in LA a few weeks ago, Brentwood to be exact, and the only concern for Californians was the relentless traffic that plagues the city, even the elections seemed of little concern, and fires the last thing on anyone's mind. Today we find the town of 'paradise' burnt to the ground. Over a 1000 people unaccounted for across the state with 71 confirmed dead. Trump blamed the forestry commission for the disaster, apparently they'd failed to look after the brush, but had taken millions of $$$$ to do so, but the wise money is on climate change as the cause for this terrible disaster. My main point really centres around the missing 1000+ people? How can the biggest super power in the world first of all not be able to deal with all the fires, and secondly not know how many people are dead or missing? The US just don't seem to be able to deal with disasters, it was the same after the New Orleans hurricane, parts of the city are still inhabitable years after the disaster. Many hold them up as the leaders of the free world, but they can't deal with domestic natural disasters? Why?

You get him told Dreams, I agree by the way, Leeds used to be successful, but that was a long time ago. If it's based on success, we should get more, because we've been more successful since Tv's went color.

Wayne Rooney has been included in the current England squad as an honour for his service for his country, what a load of old bunkum that is. I'll never forget him questioning the loyalty of thousands England fans as he left the pitch in Cape Town after an awful World Cup performance against Algeria (0-0). "nice to see your own fans booing you, that's what loyal support is" He played during a time when players were more interested in the next boot deal, rather than playing for the national side. He certainly would have been dropped from my squad for the remarks above and wouldn't have played again until he apologised, and let's face it, he wouldn't have been missed, we won nothing during his time in the squad..... Very poor decision by the FA.

Who cares? The manger is working wonders on the playing side, the least amount of contact he has with those mugs in Pune the better as far as I'm concerned, they're poison. Out of sight out of mind.

Disgusting individual, they'll never see those life savings again, how does he sleep at night?

Some things in life should be protected, not everything should prostituted out to the highest bidder. Cricket should be on BBC radio, not talksh1te (sky). TMS is a national treasure and should be treated as such.

Just another example of football fans being treated like scum, you've done nothing, but are guilty because you're a football fan. It's a @#/? disgrace that they can still get away with these type of tactics in this day and age, to stop you going about your business because you're on route to a game is surely against your human rights? Winds me up...

Mercers best bottle of red will be more chateau bargain booze, than chateau Petrus. Interestingly enough, a 1995 Petrus is worth a small fortune, great year that was.

If you're going to use a £10 promotion party as a yard stick we're going to struggle, and the size of the stadium has nowt to do with it. I guess you're talking about the all round package (numbers and noise) so I'll agree atmosphere could improve, but that's indicative of most grounds around the country, but numbers are fine. We have long been the biggest and best supported club in the region in our catagory (burnley, Bolton, preston, bpool etc) and long may it continue.

If you consider everything that's gone on since those idiots took over the support has held up extremely well, so you're talking absolute bobbins squire.

You've got a bite.... Home support average, go on explain that one? When 1985? Our away support under Allardyce was abysmal towards the end, didn't we famously sell under 500 for Anfield and Old Trafford combined? 250 for City away? Similar at Everton? But we finished 10th...... Yet our home support has always stood up as an average.

They'd need another 20yrs in the top flight, regular European football and a cup or 2 before they can consider lauding it over us dgs. -
Does anyone have the link to the just giving page setup by Rovers fans to buy a helicopter for Venkys?

WBA VS ROVERS - SAT 27TH

There's not debate in the past 4/5 pages really, just insults, that's the reason why people don't debate anymore Matty, it simply isn't worth it. -

The last 5/6 pages of this thread are rife with personal insults and attacks on fellow posters, it's no wonder Chaddy has taken the mods advice and banged them on ignore. Thats an extremely poor post K-Hod, it really is. Whats also extremely poor is the fact that Saturdays battling performance was one of the best most of us has seen in years, courageous, bottle, togetherness and then we have this cr ap to trawl through.... -

What a fantastic result that was today, against a side that's won at Old Trafford, St James and Anfield in 2018 and put 7 past QPR at home. Once again the fight and determination stands out from manager through the playing staff and superb away support. We're not as good as WBA, we don't have their resources either, but we more than matched them today and if it wasn't for some awful refereeing we'd have won. Mowbray has only lost 5 games in 49 someone said today and you login to here and the usual suspects are moaning and groaning. It's not about opinions, it's about moaning for the sake of it, you'd think they'd have learnt after the Mowbray out debacle last season..... Onwards and upwards. -

WBA have had a mixed bag of results of late but make no mistake about it, they're a very good side. If we came away with a draw I'd be over the moon, but I can't see anything but a home win in this one sadly. WBA 3 Rovers 1 Bit of trivia, The Hawthorns is the highest ground above sea level in the country, I live 15miles away and I still don't get it..... -
Sounded a relatively peaceful day yesterday, but I hope they catch the nugget who threw a bottle at Raya in the 2nd half, or if not at Raya, certainly into his penalty area. CCTV - over to you.

Chaddy bashing eh? How fookin boring, no wonder the place is on its arse.... Great result today, you could hear a pin drop in the Darwen End for large parts, tremendous, well chuffed for the regulars. Mowbray is doing a terrific job, I think only Pep and Cooke at Wigan have collected more points in the same period and long may it continue. Onwards and upwards. -
Even If you charged £20 for every game, the gates wouldn't increase significantly, those thousands of seats would still remain unsold. The only way to fill those seats is to keep improving on the pitch.

I never read any comments like that to be honest, he was always objective and fought his battle by marching with others which deserves respect. Waggot put himself firmly in '@#/? to the fans' column when he closed the Darwen End and moved those season ticket holders without any consultation. Thats no way to treat your own supporters, we maybe a club that's hit on hard times, but the fans are used to being treated with respect and watching football at the highest level, maybe Waggot needs to up his game in that respect. But I'm not worried personally about our support, it's in good shape as far as I'm concerned.
