  1. The last time I attempted to buy from the 'club shop' I was told it wasn't a club shop but a sport world outlet and Blackburn Rovers don't sell club merchandise any longer. It was not full of overpriced gear either, but it was full of £3 T-Shirts and complete tatt as you say Nod. I guess we make more money from it being a Sports world shop than we ever did a club shop, but it doesn't make it right that they hardly sell club merchandise.
  2. When Hughes arrived the first thing he did was make sure we became fitter and stronger. Today it sounds like we were second to every ball and miles off the pace which is a worrying to say the least. Hughes said in his interview we may have some good news come Monday/Tuesday with regards to the defense, lets hope so.
  3. Rang Pompey less than an hour ago to ask if they had tickets left, after much debate they said yes we can buy them on the day: "Debs....Debs we going to pompey"?
  4. Anyone know where the games on live tomorrow
  5. In just under 2wks time we'll be busy making plans for an away trip to Europe, but where will we end up? *TAKE NOTE* We booked flights to Bulgaria as soon as the draw was made, the clubs then swapped the ties round. We were lucky in that Lufthansa changed the flights for free, but many airlines wouldn't be so accommodating.
  6. Old ground Mr. Wood. I've given up trying to explain our attendance trends, as gates continue to grow ours continue to decline. The club offer cheap tickets, the gates still don't increase and season ticket holders moan. Simple facts of the matter are, we're punching well above our weight, enjoy it while it last because with declining gates and lack of interest our current lofty position won't last forever. Savor the moment, especially our European adventure because it may never happen again.
  7. I take your point and think you're right, but these moaning walk up fans who believe they're somehow owed something annoys me no end. We'll have the usual debate in the weeks leading up to the Man Utd game about how fans are being discriminated against because they're not on the database, yet they've had ample opportunity to get on the database since we last played Utd at home. Maybe for another thread.
  8. Bottom line is we have to make cash somehow or we'd not be in the market for players like Benni Mac and Bellamy. If charging £36 to 5000+ Everton fans allows us to remain competitive then I'm all for it. Why don't the walk up Rovers fans just come to the cheaper games if they want to support the club so much. It really gets on my nerves all this talk about walk up fans getting a raw deal. Every time we play Utd and Liverpool they want to come and many back their plight, but they should support us when the less glamorous sides come and not just the big boys. I for one support the pricing.
  9. You need to first ask your bank for the last 6yrs bank statements, they will probably charge you £5 for the privilidge. That starts the ball rolling, next read the website and in 6-8wks you'll get all your bank charges back regardless of the reason you were charged in the first place. JUST IN TIME FOR OUR EUROPEAN TOUR
  10. You can claim for anything the bank or credit card company has charged you for because the charges have been deemed unlawful in court earlier in the year. So if you paid your credit card late and got charged say £20, you can claim that back because its not a true reflection of what it actually cost the credit card company. If you went over your overdraft and were charged, claim it back. Basically any charges that you have incurred claim them back because they've been deemed unlawful. YOU MUST REGISTER WITH THE SITE FIRST, then follow these steps and you'll have all your fees back in no time: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum...structions.html
  11. I don't wish to enter into a debate on the banking system thank you. I've posted this as information to assist others who like me feel that bank charges levied on our accounts are not reflective of the actual cost incurred by the banks and because other maybe broke also!
  12. The reason for being charged is completely irrelevant, but what is clear is that finally the banks are being held accountable for making ludicrous charges for going 1p over drawn. If I go over drawn by a penny they charge me £39, well not anymore…. I’m personally aware of 12 people who have had their claims paid in full and none were ‘High profile cases’. Six claimed over £1000 and one person claimed £3400. I doubt the other poster on this thread was a 'high profile case' either. May I suggest you look into things a little more carefully before saying its 'Utter nonsense' and 'complete twaddle'.
  13. May I suggest you take a look at the website I’ve added and you'll find that not 1 person has so far failed to get a full refund Modi. The Halifax alone has paid out over 350k to 303 people who have filled in the survey on the site. I've got £302 to claim and have been offered £150, I’ve turned that down and have now started court proceedings and I guarantee I’ll be paid out in full in the next 4wks. Debs has claimed back almost 2k and is waiting for their first offer. My mate has been paid out, £1900 on 2 accounts so don't tell me its a load of twaddle.
  14. I'm sure some of you will be aware that a case was won some months back that has thrown the whole bank charge regime in to chaos and thousands of people have successfully claimed these charges back. The reason you can claim them back is because its been classed as unlawful in terms of the amount the bank/Credit card company charges you for going over drawn of writing to you to inform you your cc payments is late etc etc. Not one person has failed in getting their money back so far but eventually the banks/cc companies will have to fight this so get your arses into gear or you may miss out. You can claim for the last 6yrs and the following website has letter templates and numerous case studies and tips to help you along your way. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/
  15. Gav's booze bus will be making a few trips next season, wonder where we'll be going early doors? London trips are best done by train but we'll maybe stretch to Reading as its a new venue. PS, No half pints from Chorley who throw up in the mini bus this season either........
  16. We could bid for Duff, Eidur and John Terry, yet we'd still not sell more season tickets.
  17. An archive section should be created with that sort of report taking pride of place. You can't find much about our past on the net be it football or fans. Paper clippings and any old footage is fascinating to me and I’m sure many more. Lets start an archive section with the train report taking pride of place?
  18. A few lads i know were on that train and got a tidy sum in compensation i believe.
