  1. Wharton deal has not collapsed as of a few hours ago.
  2. You’d assume so, given it’s all he’s done since he started that account. But god only knows considering how we fucked up last January.
  3. I can’t see how anyone can be looking at our squad without Adam and saying we don’t need a centre midfielder. I think it might even be more important than a striker at this point.
  4. Probably on loan, probably a big loan fee, won’t break them into the top six. I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of paying money to loan players, I’d rather we held off until summer and spent our money on players that are actually ours.
  5. Then the fans should put pressure on him to be sacked. The reality is we can’t judge him if we don’t give him any tools to do his job. He’s currently trying to build a football team with an ongoing excuse of financial difficulties in the background.
  6. Here’s where I stand. 22M guaranteed is a lot of money. It’s our record sale. Adam’s the best player we will produce in a long, long time. But the squad needs investment, we have three or four key positions which need strengthening and we don’t have the funds to do that without selling Adam. Selling a homegrown player for 22M means there cannot be any argument with FFP for years to come. Venkys and Waggott, your excuse is now null and void. This is the “model” which we have been told the club will run by. Buy cheap — or develop internally — and sell at the best point for the club. So Gregg, here’s your chance. Your job is on the line. We need a goal scoring striker, a winger, a playmaker central midfielder and an experienced centre back. If you fail to get them, then you should be sacked for negligence. If the owners do not give you the money to do your job then you need to walk as it won’t get better than this. Jon, this is your chance too. If you get the four first team players needed and the problems we’ve been having continue then you’re not up to the job either. Adam, good luck and thank you for everything. I’m excited to watch you play in the Premier League, for England and one day finish your career back home. The next 18 months are the most important in the clubs recent history.
  7. Agent is ex-Rover James Featherstone. He’s tweeting about the move.
  8. Waggott and Suhail control the money. Venkys put a set amount in every season and then those two decide how it’s spent.
  9. Rovers and Palace have all agreed the move. 22M +.
  10. An inkling. The magic number is 25M and they’re at 22M. They’ve this morning signed a right back and a striker, so Adam will be their priority.
  11. JRC is my favourite player at the moment. He’s superb.
  12. If “at the moment” means for the past 14 years or so, I agree.
  13. Adds height too, as does ORoirdon. I’m slowly coming round to it.
  14. I have, does that qualify me to make a judgement or not on the Tugayisgod scale?
  15. Positives I can find: Seems to be local, so should be comfortable and happy in the area. Played well against us for Liverpool and Bournemouth. More experienced than Hill, who he essentially replaces.
  16. Sounds like Carter and Hill are replaced with ORoirdon and Phillips. Can anyone make an argument for us to have improved at centre back?
  17. Unfortunately as things stand, following this football club provides me with no happiness or excitement. These owners and their board have taken all the joy out of what used to be my favourite thing to do. Nowadays, for me personally, following Blackburn Rovers means trying to make sense of Indian court documents, arguing with fellow fans on Twitter who support this nonsense and trying to piece together all of the clues to work out what happens next. Some of the comments from our fanbase make me want to scream in frustration. But the more I think about it, maybe I’m in the wrong. There’s a majority of fans that it feels like are either too naive to read into it any further than surface level, or not intelligent enough to see this for what it is. Perhaps they deserve this and the misery that comes with it? But again… maybe there is no misery if your head is in the sand. Frankly, at this point, I’m extremely close to giving it all up and trying to find some solace in just going to down to Ewood occasionally and only thinking about Rovers for those couple of hours.
