  1. Goodbye sweet Darragh. You turned out better than we all thought you would after that debut playing defensive midfield.
  2. You’re doing god tier work, goozburger.
  3. Less sure on this than the colours - but I believe it was halves, is now quarters.
  4. Without going into too much detail, I’ve just cross referenced my diary against last seasons matches. Out of 23 home games, 7 would have been impossible for me to attend due to work. 4 would have meant I left the house at 7:30AM and returned home after an evening KO. Thats 11 games I would have probably missed, leaving 12 games… assuming I didn’t miss another game due to holidays, existing plans or illness. At £299 I’d have bought one anyway and sat in the Riverside with my Dad for roughly 12 games a season… £25 a match, on average. As it happens, the price is £429 and I refuse to pay best case scenario £35 a ticket. Not least because I can watch every game at home on my sofa. So long story short - I’m one of the lucky ones that could (just) about afford to buy myself a season ticket at £299, but there isn’t any value at £429. Despite being a Rovers addict, that spends his time running a fans message board, I’ve been priced out by Waggott. So I’ll buy some match tickets - home and away - if we’re playing well… and if we’re not, I’ll watch on the sofa. My net spend will be less than £25 / match in total… which I would have given them anyway, if they could price tickets correctly. Madness. You know who I feel for the most? The Blackburners that really live for this club, that would make sure they attend every game, would schedule their work rota around games, would tell their other halves don’t plan anything on match day… but the cost of living is so high they can’t find a way to pay the price. It’s a disgrace.
  5. First thing I noticed as well.
  6. For the record I would have been delighted with Carvalhal as well. In fact he was probably ahead of JDT in my preferred list. But after watching that interview, I believe. JDT is a positive presence.
  7. Jon Dahl I am sold. Finally, someone I can get behind.
  8. I’ll give you absolutes rather than clues, if you’d like? Home - same as always, still quarters rather than halves Away - navy blue 3rd - red with Lancashire rose outlines
  9. I think we know about this, but another for the list @StubbsUK
  10. In Rovers current structure, there isn't any. But you (or I, in this case) would expect a head of marketing to have had experience elsewhere as senior marketing manager, brand manager, group marketing manager or similar at a company where those roles do exist before stepping up here.
  11. Years of experience elsewhere
  12. It’s jumping up at least 2 positions. Arguably three.
  13. I believe today will be the day. This is a race against time to break 400 pages. We come into this on 379. Gather your friends, your family, even your enemies. Tell them to post on BRFCS so that we hit this milestone of negligence.
  14. Jheez Tom, I don’t think I’ve ever known you get angry!
  15. I got through the BBE No1 and half of No2 before giving up. There's 117 sold in BBE No1.
  16. Maybe I'll be proved wrong and he'll be a key centre half for us all this coming season... I hope I am! I guess the point I'm trying to make is as things stand Darragh is a huge loss to this football club, both in terms of his ability but also his cultural importance within the dressing room. Current first team players don't think Phillips is ready, yet.
  17. BRFCS is a Football Forum for Rovers fans to predominantly discuss Blackburn Rovers. This is what we'd like to be known for. However we understand that people enjoy this platform to discuss other topics with Rovers fans in the I Can't Believe Its Not Football section. We Did Warn You, or 'WDWY' is a new sub section of the forum designed to alleviate pressure on the moderation team and allow those of you that love controversy to be involved in it. I have described WDWY as: We did warn you (WDWY) is a sub section specifically for topics outside of football which have been flagged as controversial. It will contain topics which take up a significant portion of moderation time and have been deemed almost impossible to moderate successfully. To help with this, we've relaxed the rules in the WDWY section - whilst our key principles apply i.e. no sexism, no racism, no homophobia - if you want to bicker and fall out, then within WDWY you can crack on. Specific rules on the section will be found within WDWY. Here is a list of threads which as of now have been moved from ICBINF to WDWY, as they're deemed to be controversial subjects: Politics Unions Trump Coronavirus Brexit Ukraine/Russia Climate Change Cost of Living Crisis Therefore any discussion on any of these points in ICBINF or the main football board are now banned. No ifs, no buts. If you post even hinting on any of these subjects your post will be hidden and - after a short period of goodwill time - your account will be face a warning. If you choose to have access to WDWY and then bring anything from this section into other sections (i.e. bringing discussion from WDWY into ICBINF) your account will be banned. We've given you a section to have these discussions exclusively for a reason - so that it doesn't affect the heartbeat of this forum, Rovers discussion. WDWY will be reviewed in 3 months time to see what changes - if any - are needed. If you chose to join WDWY you'll have the opportunity to give input into how the sub section evolves at this point also. One last thing... the same rules apply to the moderation team - so if the mods want to participate and want to call your views on Brexit, its fair game. WDWY is request only, if you would like access you will need to either PM me or email me at admin@brfcs.com requesting access.
  18. You’re agreeing with me - I’m saying Philips can’t replace Lenihan this year, you’re saying he should be getting minutes from the bench or on loan. Lenihan was the club captain that lead the team and was a mainstay. They’re not the same.
  19. Really happy with that - JDT is a winner and I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out alongside Broughton, plenty to be positive about and like others happy to see how this goes rather than have a Warne or a Pardew. I hope JDT is given the chance to put together his own coaching and medical teams.
  20. JDT obviously had a better playing career than Mowbray… but is it wild to suggest he’s had a better managerial career as well?
  21. To suggest Ash Phillips can come straight in and replace Darragh is half laughable and half disgraceful. Yes, Phillips has a good reputation. But he doesn’t know the first thing about senior football, hasn’t got any experience at any notable level and bucket loads to prove. Darragh was the club captain, a huge presence in the dressing room, extremely well respected and an established championship player. He will be very sorely missed and his deal at Boro isn’t anything Rovers couldn’t have matched - trust me.
