Waggott is here because he was a cheap option. The FA and EFL have to give approval on each clubs CEO. Pasha will not get approved as CEO, he isn’t qualified, so Waggott is in place to tick the box. He has some power and of course makes some decisions but the big ones are Pasha’s. Of course Waggott puts his opinion in but it’s Suhail’s law.

It’s not really how it works, or at least how I understand it. The decision on the manager will be made by Pasha, the whole ‘recommendation to the owners’ is simply a case of them being introduced and green lighting it. Once upon a time they had more input, but that was during the ‘He who shall not be named’ era before they had their own man on the ground Whoever Pasha recommends they will appoint.

I wasn’t there - so I won’t make comment on exactly what happened. What I will say is after following England at Euro 2016 the French police are absolutely desperate to attack - and I mean attack - football fans if there’s any sign of disruption, unrest or things aren’t going exactly to their plan. They’re absolutely terrible - thieves, criminals, bullies and they seem to enjoy it. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone.

It doesn’t work like normal jobs - in most cases there are expressions of interest from agents (ie my client would like to be considered) and then there’s invitations to interview (ie would your client be interested in interviewing for the role of manager of Blackburn Rovers). It’s not uncommon for someone to reject an interview.

It’s a surreal statement to make if he doesn’t, so I’ll go with yes. -
It’s tough down here Longers! As you’ve seen, you need a very fine balance of quality, work effort and mentality or it goes south - quick!!

This is the bit I can’t get my head around - before sacking him they where in a situation where best case Dyche kept them up, worst case they went down but had the perfect manager to bring them back. They’re now in a situation where they’re competing with us to find a new manager.
