  1. My point yet again is Cheston was forced to back Coyle with his comments even tho he wasn't interviewed by Cheston. wasn't Slivester appointment as club secretary during the Kean era? Coar has been here for years before Venkys bought the club I have no idea why Cheston would go on holiday and not concluded the Warnock deal before. But someone wanted Coyle in the job before Warnock got the job. someone recommend him to Pasha who interviewed him for the job. It is no surprise that Coyle was able to talk the talk to these people but he couldn't deliver the things he promises to them I cant remember who ever we interviewed at that time? do you know?
  2. My points was Cheston wasnt here and on Holiday. So how couod he met Coyle and appoint him. Someone at the club after Cheston went on holiday decide to suggest Coyle to the owners. Also how could Cheston make those comments when he wasnt here. Someone put Cheston name to those quotes. He toed the club line. Warnock was coming here and was happy with Budget and even selling Hanley. Someone wanted Coyle in the club
  3. Its wrong to called him a fool or con merchant after all he has done at the club and rebuild the club. I feel that Mowbray still has the majority of Game attending fans before him. Whilst I would a change manager this week, I dont think it will happen at all and he still has support and credit in the bank from the owners. They happy to support and back him. No doubt our summer recruitment wasnt good enough or what we need. Questions need to be asked about this.
  4. Cheston was on holiday when he was appointed so said he that for him?
  5. You never do. You mention the Forest game this morning as boring but I have no idea what game you were watching. We played really well and deserve to win. We played some good football. Plenty of fans I spoken to Agree with me
  6. Defenders go for alot of money just as much as strikers. Look at Konsa who cost 15 mil for Villa a year after Brentford paid 5 mil for him. John Egan or Joe Worrall who I thought we should have gone for when we got promoted.
  7. I wouldn't ask Miller who for reasons that are clear.
  8. hear from where? I cant see any owners saying we cant see a defender or keeper for cash
  9. well you could have said that about Farke or Wagner before they got jobs in the championship and both clubs got promoted to the Premier League. I believe we some bring through our good youth players like Rankin Costello and Butterworth being the next 2 to bring through. I fell out of love with Rovers/football when Coyle was our manager but watching the under 23's under Johnson and Dunn kept me believing and having faith in this club that I have supported all my life and I couldn't support any other team in the world.
  10. His coaching ability, his under 23's record, he would bring through our good youth players.
  11. All depends who decide the next manager. Adkins would be decent shout. Still Johnson would be our best bet imo
  12. Looking forward to the 2 test series in New Zealand and the test series in South Africa..
  13. that was well before the Coyle situation. I will say that I wish we moved for Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill. Got Stoke back to basics yesterday and play McClean and Ince in the correct positions and bought Ryan Woods back into the team
  14. Did we only play with 10? Frebbie from West Ham was Tony Gale. We signed Jeff Kenna that season
  15. It was rumoured for a few weeks before hand that Rovers was looking to sack Bowyer and if I remember correctly the 4 man shortlist was Paul Lambert, Nigel Pearson, Ian Holloway and Jokanovic.. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/blackburn-want-former-watford-boss-6807462
  16. Lambert was my choice to replace Bowyer. Irvine and Rob Kelly were good coaches Rob Kelly is now coaching in Sweden at Malmo with Uwe Rosler who I would imagine would applied for the job here if it was available. Bowyer was my choice at the end of that season for the job. Coyle deffo not. after he was sacked I didn't have a clue who we would employ next Wanted Holloway as manager when Berg was appointed and I believe Holloway would have got us up that season. I will never understand why Shebby and Shaw didn't appoint him or why Shebby walked out on that meeting. Shebby was going to appoint Billy McKinlay at one point on Gerry Armstrong's recommendation
  17. Yes Rothwell was excellent LAST SEASON! But not this season. Whenever he been on the pitch he hasn't impressed simple as whether it been 15 or 20 mins or starting games it all matters. but at the end of day we need to sorted the defence out 1st
  18. Whenever he has played he hasn't played well enough or an impact on the game apart from Sheff Wed game he had impact. I am big fan of us but this season he hasn't been the same as last season. I think he would be better in 3 man centre midfield similar to James Maddison role at Leicester
  19. I'm don't know who are first choices were for the positions Ive mention before apart from we went for 2 foreign targets for keeper spot and we missed out on both for different reasons. Karl Darlow was a target but his wages demands was too high as Steve Waggott told the fans forum this was the case. We need a centre back in the mould of Jansson and failure to get this has cost us big time
  20. Yes teams do know this and they push up higher and crowd the centre of the pitch. The form of our wide players in Armstrong, Rothwell, etc hasn't been good enough.
  21. Pardew isn't a joke, he was in the recent poll done on here. I would go for Damien Johnson as head coach with a good number 2 and appoint a sporting director like Steve Walsh or Tony Henry. My other choices would be Nigel Pearson, Gareth Ainsworth. Wouldn't be against an overseas head coach in the right set up.
  22. We played for 1 and half game. That's it!!! Dack was man marked against Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday. Plus teams are pushing up higher at times against us. I would have took Dack off against Sheffield Wednesday tbh. No impact and Hutchinson man marked him second half.
  23. I don't feel we could get Lee Bowyer realistic tbh but with his contract being up in the summer and the owner wanted out still and massive uncertainly over that. We could possible get him Did I not mention that Ainsworth team this season have kept 9 clean sheets. Hughton aint coming here this season. He might well change his mind after a season of not being a manager. We don't pay big wages manager wise simple as. Hughton HAS turned down Stoke City job twice and Sheffield Wednesday in the summer. Realistic options are someone like Nigel Pearson, Alan Pardew, Damien Johnson, Nigel Adkins, Chris Coleman, Ian Holloway, Aitor Karanka, Carlos Carvalhal
  24. Dack drop deeper cos teams have worked us out so either man marked Dack or push up the pitch higher than usual. Most managers are too stubborn if their philosophies. Its very easy for us to comment as its not our job or on the line Ive not over the signings Mowbray made or should have made over the past summer as we know what we all think
