I feel we should be able to bring 2 to 3 young players each season into the first team squad. agree? agreed and that is exactly what we do including this season. Looks like they will be plenty of movement in January and players in and out No its not obsessed with developing young players but is something we are good at and making them into first team players. Why wouldn't you want to develop your own players when you are spending x amount on Category 1 status? I don't think we are soft touch either. dude, with no offence no one is up Venky's arsehole but no one expecting what happened during the summer to the budget to happened. After last season under JDT, most fans were thinking playoffs this season were realistic and they were a real buzz around the club with the right signings. Yes we all know what they done and we would like right new owners.

We did that in the summer when we sold Kaminski, Phillips plus released Dack and Ayala and signed some good players like Sigurdsson, Tronstad plus a couple of loan players who added quality to the squad. Developing our talent young players is one of key part of our footballing plan. We have cat 1 status and we should be developing players each season from the under 21/18 each season

GB, JDT, the players and the fans wanted promotion this season and it still possible we could get a playoff place but we need some quality signings. JDT is very good at developing players and you can see the development in Adam Wharton, Jake Garrett, Harry Leonard. I listened to Sigurdsson's interview after signing here permanent and he praised JDT and said he learnt more about football in 6 months then the rest of his career. He did deserved a chance at higher level but joining QPR was massive mistake

We have one of the lowest budget in the championship and simply don't have finances to sign proven players. We would all have loved a proven goalscorer but we don't have the finances sadly. We are looking at the mainly the loan market cos that where we can pick up quality players for 6 months/the season who can add that quality we need. So far we have linked to 2 full backs(both on loan), The Crewe CB and 2 strikers(both on loan). We can still wheel and deal in the market but each player must fit into our style of play and how JDT wants to play. Looking towards this summer recruitment I would be targeting players in Germany, Holland and Scandinavia plus looking for talented players in league 1 and 2.

JDT is very happy to developing players for the first team like he did with Ash Phillips by playing him in his 3rd game. Plus Wharton and Garrett. Yes JDT is ambitious but he is happy to develop young talent players

Szmodics is entering his prime and I don't see him being sold now and the summer. He is crucial to us.. WBA link doesn't add given their financial problems with their owner no surprise to see linked with a full back espically if JRC will move into CM when fit That's the market we are in as are many other championship teams. We don't have the wages to spend on proven players or the transfer fee to buy them. I rated Brittain very highly but he is going through a bad patch of form. Brittain is still a good player and someone who is big asset to Rovers

roughly the same style yes. little tweaks to the style like maybe not play inverted full backs but full backs who play wide and allow the wide players to play inside

1. We have build a squad to play a certain way so the next head coach should play in similar way 2. JDT does get a say in who we sign. He is presented a list of names him, GB and SK decided who we go far.. It's works at plenty of clubs. It's working well here.

Tromstad plays the defensive midfielder role the best of anyone at the club, allows Adam Wharton to be playmaker and Szmodics to be attacking midfielder/no 10 we need Does Travis fit our style of play and how we want play attacking wise?
