  1. Thanks for that Hannoverover Plenty of posters watched loads of football out there. So will see players that they would like to see us sign. I will mention a couple of players I would like to see us sign in January after tonight game. So you would have accept a bid of 8.4 million from Sevilla or Nice or the very low offer from Fulham? Those offers were pathetic to be quite honest. Would you really trust anything he says after he basically told our Chief Scout Stuart Harvey to leave the club for Sunderland. Very unfair comment. He can here to play but Dolan and Hedges are ahead of him. I know about that as I watched it a couple of weeks ago. I think Rovers were looking to buy him to replace BBD if we sold him. He has mainly played wide or part of front 2 for Salford. Good player.
  2. I think the team selection shows how unhappy he was with last week performance against PNE. Pleased that Gallagher, Buckley and Pickering are back in our team today and that he has dropped Travis finally. He deserved to be dropped. Morton has been good overall in the season but still would like Adam Wharton in the team or at least on the bench. JRC is in the team cos Brittain and Carter are injured. Who else could play right back? Hedges? I think we sit deeper and look to play on the counter. Rovers need to defensively solid and I would take a clean sheet right now.
  3. The size of 4xl is the right size and similar to none Rovers related clothes.
  4. If you disagree with me fine but I won't be changing my opinion on that the England manager should be English. I wouldn't appoint Tuchel, Pochettino or Mourinho as England manager.
  5. who is this Johnson/Whelan type people or midfield hardman that people have suggest? any names?
  6. I would said they were very different on Hyam, Brittain, Morton, Hirst and Szmodics I would love to you what you seen in Mola cos I have seen very little in his league appearances Brittain is a quality player and one of this league best right back I like Szmodics. He has scored some important goals and that his cross he did for BBD to score was fantastic against Rotherham.
  7. My team for this game Kaminski Carter Hyam S.Wharton Pickering Buckley A.Wharton Hedges Dack BBD Gallagher Subs:- Pears, Ayala, Travis, Morton, Szmodics Hirst, Dolan Gutted for him. Quality and one of the right backs in this league
  8. England's best results have come with English manager whether it was Sir Alf Ramsey or Sir Bobby Robson or Terry Venables or Gareth Southgate. Yes I know we had some disappointed English managers like Don Revie, Graham Taylor or Steve McClaren but I stand by that England should appoint an English manager only
  9. The cricket England are playing under Stokes and McCullum is Brilliant and positive to watch. The way Brook and Duckett have come into this team and played so well straight away is excellent. They deserved alot credit and praise for trying to make Test Cricket more watchable
  10. Hyam is a good centre back, Brittain is quality but concern about the injury part. Morton has been good for us this season. Still think Hirst will come good. Szmodics has played well in games and provided 3 goals and 1 assist. We need to used him more properly as number 10 in 4-2-3-1 formation. Haven't seen enough of Mola to judge yet
  11. has a foreign coach ever won the world cup of a country?
  12. I seen alot of OTT reaction the past 28 hours Glad you agree with me for one. On where we finish, well we see end of the season but I didn't expect to be third given the number of football changes that happened at Rovers during the summer. Fair enough if that your opinion. I have a different opinion on some of those than yourself clearly miss understood the point that Pickford made a decision to kick long something Kaminski should have done instead of passing it to Travis which resulted in the second goal
  13. Given who the source of the info was and someone I know. I trusted it and given who told him the info would have good inside info Buckley has been out of favour for a while but was on the bench ahead of Wharton and Garrett. Given JDT's comment about Buckley last week I think he will be playing shortly
  14. Southgate was only caretaker for 4 games if memory serves me right but got the results so got the job the full time. He has been very good in the role and for me should stay in the role for another 4 years That where we have to disagree. We wasted millions on Eriksson and Capello who achieved nothing. The England manager should be English. Didn't Mount replace Henderson and win the second penalty? Rashford came minutes later for Foden Doesn't Sterling have 20 international goals?
  15. That's where we currently 3rd in the league. Yet, people want him sack on here. Totally and utterly embarrassing. Time to judge is end of the season. If some people on here was in charge of a football club we would be sacking every few games and having OTT reaction to few results and displays. We need to give JDT the season and the summer to judge from next season. I give you 2 examples. Farke at Norwich.
  16. Herdman has done a very good job with Canada Maybe in 4 years yes. Probably top choice with Graham Potter.
  17. Care to explain? It's been reported by the FA have no plan in place if Southgate was to go. They want him to stay. I and others want him to stay and win something with this group of players trust Southgate and enjoyed playing for him. What happens if your first 2 choices don't want it yet like Howe and Potter? Who then? Lampard or Gerrard? Maybe Steve Holland?
  18. well surely before getting rid you need know who you would go for or whether he even wants the job?
  19. I said at certain times can play out from the back. If teams don't press us high we should. Players like Hyam, Scott Wharton and either Morton or Buckley can play out but it's about players making decisions on the field like Kaminski should no way play that ball to Travis in the second half. Look at Pickford has an example who wouldn't play the ball to Stones or Maguire in certain situations but played it long. That why Gallagher or Hirst or Vale should play as number 9 can try to win the header or at challenge for it. Dack or Szmodics can't. Lets see in the coming weeks and not start over reacting to this. another over the top reaction to 2 very poor results to local teams.
  20. I agree with your first part. I don't agree that Terry Venables or Sir Bobby Robson failed miserably either. Others yes I agree Why would you break up a team including the manager and players who have such a bond and performed very well yesterday? The players trust him. Why would you seriously look at who's out there if you already believe you have the right person for the job? Apart from Howe or Potter who else is performing well enough to warrant it? are either ready for job? probably not but 4 years time after Southgate has hopefully them to winning a world cup or Euro's. Yes Saka was having a very good game but his he running on empty you surely take him off?
  21. I'm pleased you agree with me that we should have played a back 4 yesterday. Brittain played the majority of the time at Barnsley as right wing back. If we are going to back 5 then we need to play 3 centre midfielders and front 2 as strikers not inside strikers or wide forward.
  22. Buckley has had a period of time out of the time and was on the bench so we see over the coming matches but I think Buckley will be part of the squad here. Plus he has signed a 5 year contract only a few months ago. I would drop Travis. Who knows if we will face financial penalties for not playing Morton. All baseless speculation.
  23. JDT has dropped him on form and he was back on the bench yesterday. I think he started at Norwich with Adam Wharton
  24. Capello was an elite club manager but awful with England. I think international football is very different to club management. Southgate has been England most successful manager since Sir Alf Ramsey days. Sir Bobby Robson was another good international manager who got us close in 1990. But since Terry Venables got us to semi final with a good team. I would keep Southgate on to after the next world cup in 2026 then appoint Howe or Potter has his replacement depending on the next 4 years. They might be other possible options in 4 years time. Who knows
