  1. Fair enough. Some people move for more money or better job security or promotion. Our wages are very different to most footballer wages.
  2. Most people don't stay at one club and move to different clubs for new roles or better roles. Did you stay at one company during your career or did you move on to other companies for better pay and job roles
  3. If you want to treat them as gossip down to you but same people posting same info with good track records.
  4. Leeds have been awful last 2 games. 5-1 lost to Palace and 5-1 now to Liverpool.
  5. GB and JDT made the final decisions on who we signed. His job is scouting players and finalise a shortlist of targets for each position don't know I agree that we shouldn't go cheap but we go for the right person who fits the role. Also depends who was interested in the job also
  6. You make a fair point but we don't know if it would have been reinvested. No-one knows. If we reinvested 4 million plus 4 million towards running cost might be the right approach. We could a 2 players for that money. We will still find good players in the free transfers from European now. Down to the recruitment team to do their jobs now Teaching the players how to shooting instead of fearing over shooting
  7. 'Tomasson's challenge to Blackburn Rovers 'big talent' Adam Wharton | Lancashire Telegraph Josh posted this 10 days ago. https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/36527-adam-wharton/?do=findComment&comment=2440990 Mellor Rover posted this 13 days ago https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/36527-adam-wharton/?do=findComment&comment=2440140
  8. After leaving Aston Villa in 2019, Sean has held scouting positions with Plymouth Argyle and Scottish champions Celtic, and returns to Rovers with 30 years’ experience of coaching, development and recruitment of players at both youth and elite level
  9. Dele Ali's career has gone off the boil since Mourinho dropped him at Spurs and never been the same. What a waste of talent and he should be by now one of the best footballers in the world. Lampard tried to get back to his best but sadly not worked. It was a risk and not worked out there. Dele Alli's rise and fall from the next big thing in English football to hippy crack shame | Daily Mail Online Good point
  10. You know why Adam Wharton was dropped but you think what happened was acceptable then?
  11. He worked in the academy now the first team back then. Clearly didn't see the statement properly did he?
  12. How has that not been given has handball by Alexander-Arnold there? another baffling decision
  13. I will reply, you clearly don't understand that everything matters whether its training or attitude or on the pitch. You seen Travis and Buckley dropped this season but didn't throw their toys of the pram but did the hard work and got back in the team.
  14. was the Rovers academy better than Villa in 2007?
  15. Players on Mowbray's list? isn't it the club list not Mowbray's list. Also the paperwork embarrassment is zero involvement from the recruitment department/team but that problem belong with the Club Secretary/admin department
  16. Yes Onana would get a some good money but he cost 30 million so they would get the money back. Pickford and maybe Calvert-Lewin but far too injured prone to bring in any sort of decent fee. They have overpaid for a vast amount of players since their takeover happened. What they would have in the championship is good squad with some experience players like Keane, Tarkwoski and Gray with young talent players like Garner, McNeil and Simms.
  17. Of course JDT has cos he has said the reasons why Adam hasn't played. He made similar comments about Jake Garrett but we didn't one person outcry about it. Down to Adam to put the work in on the pitch, training pitch, team meetings, tactics meetings and attitude is all important here.
  18. JDT's comments are spot on and correct.
  19. from the article In 2007, he joined Aston Villa as Youth Development Officer, heading up their Academy recruitment, before being promoted to Academy Director in 2014, assuming responsibility for overseeing the Midlands club’s longstanding excellence in youth development.

  21. Yes they could sell players but you aren't going to get the transfer fees back for most. Most would be sold for loss plus it would b massive turnover there plus other issues. the owner has caused this problem there by no clear and coherent transfer and recruitment plan there during his time.
  22. Whilst it should work like that but as we seen with the Armstrong sale and the sale of the training ground only just stop us being in a transfer embargo and transfer restrictions in summer 2021. well we have to agree to disagree on when to sell as you are talking about 1 or 2 players max. Yes some money should be reinvest in signings after selling players whilst meeting FFP requirements to make sure no embargo happens Someone asked was it Ibrahim Kone. This info come from @J*B Who knows what Coco is like as a player but I'm sure that Rovers will have done their research and scouting into the player for sure. Have you seen him play?
  23. Everything matters as JDT said right from the start. You seen the post which said what happened with Wharton and JDT said why. He has done similar with Garrett but no outcry from anyone on that one tho I don't think Morton have been that bad before recent games performances. If Buckley was fit he would be starter ahead of Morton anyway for me. So Wharton wouldn't be starting anyway. Yes Wharton oh right
