  1. from the article In 2007, he joined Aston Villa as Youth Development Officer, heading up their Academy recruitment, before being promoted to Academy Director in 2014, assuming responsibility for overseeing the Midlands club’s longstanding excellence in youth development.

  3. Yes they could sell players but you aren't going to get the transfer fees back for most. Most would be sold for loss plus it would b massive turnover there plus other issues. the owner has caused this problem there by no clear and coherent transfer and recruitment plan there during his time.
  4. Whilst it should work like that but as we seen with the Armstrong sale and the sale of the training ground only just stop us being in a transfer embargo and transfer restrictions in summer 2021. well we have to agree to disagree on when to sell as you are talking about 1 or 2 players max. Yes some money should be reinvest in signings after selling players whilst meeting FFP requirements to make sure no embargo happens Someone asked was it Ibrahim Kone. This info come from @J*B Who knows what Coco is like as a player but I'm sure that Rovers will have done their research and scouting into the player for sure. Have you seen him play?
  5. Everything matters as JDT said right from the start. You seen the post which said what happened with Wharton and JDT said why. He has done similar with Garrett but no outcry from anyone on that one tho I don't think Morton have been that bad before recent games performances. If Buckley was fit he would be starter ahead of Morton anyway for me. So Wharton wouldn't be starting anyway. Yes Wharton oh right
  6. then you get less value and transfer fee. that what I said. Get them 6 months to sign unless sell even if we sold BBD last summer then we don't know if any money would have been spend on replacement at least or other areas. That's what we don't know. This summer could have been still frees and loans like most championship clubs budgets are. What is needed smart and clever scouting, finding gems available and look towards the European market something we haven't done in the past 10 years enough. We seem to be already lining players up with one being in director box on Saturday in Marcus Coco
  7. its a constant problem in the modern day and the last game against Hull should have been at least 8 minutes but 5 minutes was pathetic given the amount of subs made, injuries and Darlow/Hull time wasting.
  8. but you wouldn't be selling every player but just one or 2 max. We should enter talks with players with 2 years left on the contract and after 6 months of talks if no deal can been agreed then sell them
  9. Mowbray was going to bring in Maja on a loan to buy that summer. then in January Mowbray didn't think we needed a main striker signing as we were playing Buckley as false 9. Then in the summer we signed Hirst on loan to buy which didn't work out for us but in January we failed to bring one in for the reasons GB already stated. One should have been signed for sure plus we only got around 10 million for AA as Newcastle had 40% sell on clause for him
  10. That's why JDT hasn't been selecting him for the reasons he made publicly. He made similar comments about Jake Garrett Everything matters when its performance on match days or training or attitude and listening team meetings or training or tactics/set pieces meetings. Who says he was man of the match against Norwich? I'm sure Szmodics got that award
  11. Yes they did but they didn't Everton's debt, new stadium, massive wage bill and spend over 600 million on transfers fees over a number of years. It could be like Burnley or it could like Sunderland season when they went down to League 1. One thing, Everton's situation is a complete mess from the top to bottom there
  12. Only JDT's and his staff opinion matters in picking the team
  13. Everton would have massive turnover in players for sure plus what the owner do. Stick or sell the club. Forest will have massive turnover in players. Southampton not sure tbh. Expect most would stay. Leicester and Leeds don't know to be honest
  14. I would stick with Pears. Would Kaminski done any better? Not for me. He would probably taken more risks if anything
  15. No one is obtuse at all but it's all about people look at it from their own view point. As a other person said today maybe it's will be similar end of the season like 91/92 and we all know how that end don't we.
  16. Isn't 5 points from last 5 games?
  17. Mentioned this a number of time this season about the lack of movement in our attacking play plus the tempo of our passing is another problem
  18. Look like Forest are going down judging on today's performance it wouldn't surprised if Forest sack Cooper before their next game either. Its seems a mess with Forest onto their next Director of football/head of football operations for the 3rd time this season
  19. JDT has explained why he hasn't been playing here and that part of the game is just as important as ever at PL level. Jack O'Connell dropped down a league 1 with Sheffield United before becoming PL player. Similar to John Egan. Bellingham is unbelievable player and that's why he is set to join Man City this summer for over 130 million pounds. Of course I would start Wharton over at the minute but Morton isn't the problem but the lack of movement ahead of the centre back meaning slow tempo of the ball.
  20. JRC doesn't. No mention of it here. Rankin-Costello deal done! | rovers.co.uk Dolan does. New deal for Dolan! | rovers.co.uk
  21. Of course. What will Rovers do with JRC, Dolan and Gallagher if he doesn't sign a contract here given he will only have a year left on Their contract in the summer?
  22. JDT has his reasons why he hasn't feature as much as some would like but staying here would be his best decision for his career. Look at Sunderland's Jack Clarke who went from Leeds to Spurs for big money then never made it there back in League 1 at Sunderland. Similar with Patrick Roberts.
  23. He missed our best chance and I still don't know how he missed it so badly.
