Given that they signed over 20 players in January with no clear plan in place. January window was better organised So 11 new signings you want so you would need to sell 7 or 8 players from your current squad and some of those played a significant part in promotion 1 main striker, left winger to replace BBD and challenge Dolan for that spot, maybe centre midfielder. That's about it. Why do we need 2 centre midfielders when we got Buckley, Travis, Wharton and Garrett? Defensive we fine with 5 centre backs and 4 full backs in the squad. Keeper wise we are fine

How knows whether we would stay up or not if we got there. I don't think its low as you do. Of course you should try to stay there and give yourself the best chance but I wouldn't expect reckless spending but good quality signings of 6 or 7. I very much disagree there. You should give them their opportunities to see if they can step up whilst adding 6 or 7 quality players Forest transfer policy was chaos last summer with different players being signed. No proper transfer policy. January transfer business looked much better and to a plan.

I will stand by my opinion on this. How many of Brentford was good enough before they got there like. My approach is sensible and logic. Anyway lets reach the PL first before we get ahead of ourselves

Not an issue here for me. Potter has huge job there to sort it the playing squad who will part of the squad or not. Its a fair point they spend loads of money but not a striker. They had Lukaku last season who didn't perform and was lazy and disinterested. Didn't get why they loaned him for such a low fee I'm not sure whether Potter has sole charge of transfers and which players are signs or whether its like transfer commitment style system with Bohely, Vivell, Winstanley, Macauley and Potter on who decides which players they signed. Its will take time and patience to gel such a squad with lots of new signings, different nationalities of players, learning and moving to new country will take lot of adaptability and time to settle in. I'm sure he working hard and if he turns it around there and make a success he would be in line to replace Southgate as England manager when he goes as long with Newcastle manager Eddie Howe

I never said we shouldn't make any signings but I would make 6 or 7 quality signings that would improve the squad but I would like to give this squad a chance to prove whether they step up in PL. Similar to what Brentford did when they got promote. no one is accepting defeat before you start but I wouldn't make wholescale changes to a squad that got us to the PL but give them a chance to prove whether they are good enough whilst making 6 or 7 quality signings.

I think we need to make 3 or 4 changes just to freshen it up. I do agree that others that the league is more important and getting a playoff place should be main priority this season Given that Adam Wharton isn't part of the squad that travelled to QPR and is based at St Georges park with rest of the squad I don't see how he starts this game

I would give the bulk of this squad the chance to PL football if we get promote but lets get there first.

Chelsea need to stand by Potter and back him. They have signed lots of players so clearly will take time to gel. Training sessions must be awful when you got over 30 players to work with. Bohely and his merry men need to back him. Also its great to see Chelsea supporter trust come out and call out the people sending deaths threats to Potter and his family. uncalled for and these people need finding and jailing for it

Some very good points there made. If Mowbray has lot of options he mind got muddled like the previous season when he had 30 players in the squad.

I do feel that we wait until we know what league will be in. Good chance of the playoffs then anything can happen. If we in the PL we might need a few more signings then if we still in the championship. I do feel that JDT should be given a new contract this summer tho.
