no, Cos I expect us to sign a striker before the deadline if not another one. But if we don't then Broughton will explain the reasons what happen. Which I will accept them at face value We would have identified a number of strikers and in fact we had 2 players who we had agreements to sign here but 2 clubs have gone back on those deals. No surprise you don't see that way No I won't questioned Broughton or the recruitment team at all. Firstly, Its Broughton to get transfers done whilst the recruitment team job is to find signings and present shortlists to our head of recruitment Williams and DoF Broughton. The recruitment team isn't responsible for negotiating transfers and contracts. That is Broughton and Waggott job. When you look back and see that 2 clubs who Rovers have agreed deals have back out from the transfers. Is that anyone fault at Rovers? Also we don't know the full story behind transfers and why some don't happen after everything is agreed. You don't just focus on one deal but you will have a number of transfers discussions on going at the same time. The Kone transfer blame should be on Lorient and no one at Rovers should be blame. That consultancy work but no involve in Football transfers and contracts negotiations tho. You only have to watched Sky Documentary on Football transfer window in the summer 2022 to see how complex transfers are.

Rovers should be looking at Fulham's striker Rodrigo Muniz on loan for the season as I believe Boro want to end his loan deal there and Fulham want to loan him out to another championship club.

There is plenty of planning that goes on but they are so many variables that need to happen to make a deal happen and 3 different negotiating positions with any transfers. 1. Your own budget so you can bring in the right players and how many plans you want. 2. Negotiating with the club 3. negotiating with the player and agent. Like I said last week, we can complete with certain Championship clubs cos of our wage budget and it will only get worse when the new wage budget rules come in Yes everyone knows we got a chance of playoffs but we have been done twice by 2 different clubs now over a number 9 strikers. It isn't a shambles but this is the transfer window and this stuff happens all the time. Some very insane and over the top reaction again from the same people blaming Rovers for them when again the club we agreed a deal with has withdrawn from it when he was set to come here on loan. Its the second time it happened now but Rovers or GB aren't to blame here again but the club we are negotiating with. Lorient are selling another forward so he stays. I am still think we will make minimal of 2 signings before the deadline

It could be. He only has 6 months left on his contract at his current club. Would be cheap fee to get him permanent

Undav isn't a target man type tho from what I watched but more than box striker who scores goals Gelhardt, I don't know what type of striker he is tbh. Don't think he was ever first choice for us.

Don't agree there cos we don't know who are first choice targets were. @JoeHexplained how you would have a number of names on a list for a striker but its what you want. Gelhardt wasn't even available until recently when they signed a striker for 30 mil I think Morton has deserved to start as many games as he has. Suits how we want to play and performed well overall. If you disagree fine but plenty of people agree with our different viewpoints based on what?

To be honest, I have zero knowledge of this player, what his strengths or weaknesses. I don't know what the standard is like Holland or Belgium or France as I don't watch those leagues. He scored 1 goal in 2 games at Cercle Brugge and then moved to Genk where he scored 1 goal in 6.25 games. At Troyes last season he scored 5 goals in 14 games where he played 821 minutes but this season he has the same games but only 1 goal and only 399 minutes. Can anyone say why this is? change of coach or tactics, etc? I think its much more than a rumour at this stage given who is posting the info on here
