				January Transfer Window.

I think Garrett has shown he is more the up to it as he has shown in the games he played. You and I plus others have already had this discussion already. We won't agree. You want to keep adding players to the squad/positions where we already have enough players for that position. I think we need to just look to sign 1 or 2 players in January. Right back and another forward option if Dolan is out long term or BBD leaves or we send Hirst back We are already competing in the league aren't we and we are 3rd in the league or is that not compete for you? -
Still would have like to be there watching Rovers even if the result wasn't what we wanted I do think Hirst needs a proper run of games so he can get match fit and match readiness to show whether he can produce or not at this level. He hasn't played much in recent weeks before the international break but given how we are playing I'm not sure he will get the starts I think he needs to produce. On sending him back all depends on the loan agreement terms and whether we can send him back or not. I do think Hirst needs a proper run of games so he can get match fit and match readiness to show whether he can produce or not at this level. He hasn't played much in recent weeks before the international break but given how we are playing I'm not sure he will get the starts.

We already know what the objective as Rovers spoke about this over the summer. we are 3rd in the league and I would rather use the players we have in midfield then bring in another meaning it 6 players fighting for 2 spot in the starting 11 and 1 on the bench. -

abit extreme interpretation of my view on Dack. His last 2 performances have been good but he can't last 90 mins so if he stays we need to manage his game time well -

I wish I was attending this game, as I think the Stadium of light is very impressive stadium. My team I would go for is Kaminski JRC Ayala Hyam Pickering Buckley Morton Hedges Dack BBD Gallagher Subs:- Pears, S.Wharton, Travis, A. Wharton, Hirst, Szmodics, Markanday -

I'm not surprised that Kolo Toure wants to play. Will Wigan get better and results improve that way. Lets see -

We didn't get those sort of 10-12 million bids in the summer so I would say its unlikely we would now. We only got 3 offers in the summer. Fulham bid 6 mil plus 4 mil in add on's, Seville and Nice bid 8.4 million offer I was very insightful to how Rovers recruitment work and what roles people are doing within those roles. I'm pleased we will be looking at European market even tho far less players will meet the UK work permit rules. I feel we should be looking at Belgium, Germany and Scandinavia markets for players. We did have a Head of European scout under Mowbray with Glyn Chamberlain doing that role until Mowbray decided that role wasn't needed any more. Mowbray didn't make used of the European market for me. So you want to sign another midfielder meaning less time and even chance of Adam Wharton or Jake Garrett making the 18 man squad? -
I didn't attend the game but did listen to the last 70 mins of the game on Radio Lancs. Sounded like Pears made a number of very good saves. I seen the goals and I have to say Scott Wharton was awful for the 1st and 3rd goal. Good header for the goal tho. I can't comment on the overall performance of each player. I would have like fewer changes but it was understandable given that the league is the priority for JDT and Rovers. Gutted that Dolan got injured last night. Really a sackable offence. Maybe we need to give Hirst a run of games to see him get match fit and playing the regular. The problem is Gallagher is first choice for the number 9 role.

I have enjoyed watching how our players have played the spinners out there and be positive without being Reckless You are correct 100% on this point

Yes Adam Wharton is an asset right now but Rovers under JDT has to managed him properly. I do think he should be the bench but the problem is do you want 2 centre midfielders on the bench. I rate Garrett highly and He was good against Sunderland and I don't think he looks out of place in the first time at all. We have 5 centre midfielders for 2 midfielder places. -

I understand that but the fact remains that Sky are picking almost every game of ours for TV coverage. -

It will be interesting to see what sort of bids for BBD in January if we do? I think we will keep him cos no club will offer us what we want to even sell and in the summer no club even got close to an acceptable bid. Keep him and we stand a better chance of Promotion then without him. Also BBD might want to stay for the season and if we get promote sign a new contract here, -

I'm expecting Brereton-Diaz to remain here for season. I think we sign 1 or 2 players in January and probably let 3 or 4 go either permanent or loans being the outgoings -

The quote was Substancial budget compare to none Parachute payments club. If you look at what those clubs spend then it was. How much was you expecting us to spend? -

But why would any TV company to cover games that don’t involve the teams at the top of the league. It does affect me but I just accept that games get moved for TV purposes (or for other reasons like Police reasons or clubs in Europe) and its been like that for 30 years now since I started going to Rovers. Its part and parcel of football nowadays. -

Its around 20% of the squad which I don't think is at all alot. We have one of the best academy in the country and category 1 status. Plus one of the best record in English football at producing our own players. I think Adam Wharton need to game time managed very carefully and I would like to see him at least the bench now if not started but I think Buckley and Morton more than impressed against Norwich to be starting the next game. Question is could we go with 2 centre midfielders on the bench. -

It has been rumoured that Everton and West Ham are looking at Gyokeres I read a couple of weeks ago. JDT did say last week we didn't have much money to spend. Where he is trying to keep expectations down or possible fees low who knows. I didn't think we would spend 5 million in the summer like Rovers did -

Are we really filling so many gaps all at the same time? Batty, Adam Wharton and Phillips are England internationals at their age groups. We should be looking at bringing them through here into our first team. I expecting Phillips to fill Ayala place in the squad but I am expecting Hyam and Scott Wharton to be our seasoned pro come next season if Ayala doesn't stay on for another season which I think he might. On Adam Wharton, I think we need to use him at the right times and and develop him here. On Batty, I think he could step up to being Pickering's back up if Edun does go. -

Fair enough I never said it did reduce your validity of your opinion did I? I stand by it would be crazy to sack Smith when Norwich was 5th. On Appleton, I think what Blackpool need is signings and stand by their head coach Appleton. -

Jon Dahl Tomasson - no longer Sweden coach
chaddyrovers replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Deffo keep him. Jon Dahl Tomasson is doing a very good job in the overall circumstances. We are 3rd in the league at the halfway stage of the season. Every single Rovers Supporter would have took that if you would have offered at the start of the season. Yes he has made some mistakes and he has take responsible for them, But equally he deserved praises for bringing youth into the team and having us 3rd in the league. I do feel they were a massive overreaction to the previous 2 results against local rivals which seem to matter more than our overall league position. -

Maybe after 30 years off having games moved I have accept it part of football and that is how British football is. Sky and TV companies have been great for British football and raising the profile of the British football. Yes it does cause inconveniences for some fans cos kick off times, changing of days, etc There is no reason for that sort of comments cos I don't agree with you and other posters on different subjects or that I am willing to accept the situation more quickly than others or understand the problems with manufacturing and Logistical problems from the Far East in terms of Shirts for example. -

How do these players get from being untested to being test unless we play them?
