I will continue to post about patience and time for JDT, especially when fans aren't given that and some unwarranted criticism. I can see signs of progression under JDT(if you can't then that down to yourself) but its work in progress and has JDT has said what it will be until the team fully understand how he wants to play, and we keep learn and developing under him We had 3 offers for BBD and 2 bids of 8.4 mil and one from Fulham which was 6 mil plus 4 mil in add on, so I don't see why you won't accept that considering you have no other info to dispute this. No one was paying anymore for him, so Rovers was right to keep him considering the 4 factors I posted to yourself last week You don't try time after time when you don't have the team for that tactic. You play to your strengths. Buckley can play right back and I would have put him there instead of Travis at half time. I disagree that the whole performance was abject, and we didn't improve at all. We look better in the second half and we have a couple good moments in the first half. Had we taken those 3 chances the game and result might have been very different. -

Every player can make a tackle. Morton, Buckley, Adam Wharton and Garrett can make a tackle. -

I made this point this morning in a post but time after people in the VAR room make the wrong decision, this is why I wanted to see ex pros being managers or footballers brought into the VAR room. Also, I think Howard Webb has massive job when he comes in December. This need sort out properly and some proper communication to fans is needed. We see it in 3 games yesterday where VAR made the wrong decision in 2 of them and third one at Forest where the ref ha the balls to stand by his original decision and good on him. VAR got involved in a decision where the ref had a clear and not obstruct view of the incident. So, the ref in real time didn't think it was foul so he should have stuck with that decision. -

Dolan isn't wing back for started and they would have got in more than they did. So you would take Hirst off then? at half time when Buckley and Dolan were going through their warmup, I thought that Adam Wharton and Dack would go off. That the 2 players I would taken off at half time. Move Buckley to right back and Travis back into Midfield with Dolan on the right and Hedges into the 10 role. When Vale came on, I said I would took off Adam Wharton and gone front 2 with BBD and Dolan wide. Given their back 5 more problems and press higher. For me, the 4-2-3-1 formation wasn't the problem but defensively we could live with their front 3 or their wing backs going forward. Plenty of movement by their front 3. I would go with the same formation at Wigan I think it would be very different game had we scored first tho -

VAR strikes again when the ref has clear view of the incident and for me shouldn't have got involved. -

I agree on your 2 points. Buckley natural position is as number 8 in this team. Maybe its not his natural position cos Mowbray didn't play there and when Dack got injured he played that and that false 9 role. Bristol City could scroll through our midfield cos Adam Wharton was booked so early on. -

Morton wasn't any worse than anyone else on the pitch. We started well but one of your CM gets booked early, it limited their impact and what they can do especially in the first half. Someone else in the Bristol City match thread made a similar point Who was the last underwhelming signing? Plenty of us fans are understanding what the project is so why aren't you? On Szmodics, I think your comments on him are very unfair and yet again no time or patience from yourself. -

I hope they do get time and patience from all sections of fans. Fans need to understand what the project is and how we want to move forward on the subject. I would think that valuations are done by our footballing staff and our CEO/Pasha. If you listened to JDT, he thought he was worth much more 20 million pounds. I would imagine that GB, JDT, SP and SW all speak to Venkys and give their opinions. I think some clubs who actually bid for BBD don't understand how our owners operate tbh. Would you have sold for the offers we received from Nice or Sevilla that was low as 8.4 million? Would you have sold him on the day with very little for a replacement and teams coming in so late even after scouting him for weeks? Cos it's work in progress with this period being a transition season to new tactics, new players being part and new head coach who hasn't managed here before. As GB and JDT this is project, and the same message has come from our head coach every time whether we won or lose. I think we will finish in top 10 this season which I would be happy with in JDT's first season Yes the tempo was too slow in our play, and I made that point last night in my summary. Brereton's strength is playing from the left and using movement inside from left to right or shooting after coming inside. How would you have set up and who would have gone left? -

Did you not see this as new start under a new footballing structure and the new staff has been in place for around 2 months. We have brought in a new Director of Football, new head coach and new head of recruitment, surely these require patience and time from the fans? -

I'm not so sure if they are in pay role. Plenty of ex pro's whether its former players or managers in there. Also Howard Webb has a huge job in sorting out this mess out cos the VAR isn't working right. That Newcastle goal was clearly a goal or penalty given the push on Willock but VAR didn't give the ref that angle, similar to West Ham one which was goal. very childish that Matty. Very good knowledge of the game and I won't let his time here which was poor stop me from listening to well made points -

If you listen from the moment Gregg Broughton and Jon Dahl Tomasson's first ever interviews at Rovers, they said then it's a project and how they would do. Every interview JDT does he keeps saying project and it why he came here cos of the project and what was involved in it. They have been very open with the plan from minute 1 and how they will move our club forward, so I don't know why any fan doesn't clearly understand this. This team is a work in progress and will get better game by game under JDT where we are more consist in terms of performance and result. You have mentioned Eddie Howe improve a struggling team instantly, but you actually look at the results they won 2 games in his first 10 games with wins against Dingles and Leeds, but also including a home loss in the FA cup to Cambridge. What big question mark over JDT and why can you not understand what JDT and GB are trying to do with team and in the coming years? surely, they should be given some proper patience and time from fans whilst this project grows and develop under them? -

With a full week of training and JDT putting more and more of a stamp on this team I think we will pick up a win. I haven't considered Gallagher and Brittain cos I have read they are out until after September international break, I think Scott Wharton will be back and don't know if Ayala will be back or not, so I did not include him in my thoughts for selection my team Kaminski Carter Hyam S.Wharton Pickering Travis Morton Dolan Szmodics Brereton-Diaz Hirst Subs:- Pears, Mola, Adam Wharton, Buckley, Dack, Hedges, Vale -

After watching all the highlights of the game, VAR and the people in VAR had a shocking time yesterday. I agree with Danny Murphy on MOTD that ex pros should be in VAR room cos they understand how the game works. Villa and Everton got both deserved draws against Man City and Liverpool. Toney was excellent yesterday and scored 3 goals. I am still surprised that Chelsea didn't go for him in the summer transfer window. I can understand why Leeds boss Marsch lost his cool and temper with not getting a pen. Bournemouth got a good win and how a tactical change by interim boss Gary O'Neil change the game and got a win. Will be interesting whether they stick with Gary O'Neil for future games or appoint a new manager/head coach. -

We can offer more money from contract point of view from the what the article says plus we are looking for promotion within 2 seasons whilst Sunderland have just appointed Mowbray so deffo won't be going for promotion for sure cos they will experience awful post-Christmas winless run under him. -

no concerns as yet as I understand the project that JDT and GB have spoken about and JDT has said they would be transition period and where we will win and lose over this time, but I am confidence that we will get better as the season goes on As I said yesterday, I wouldn't have taken off Hirst for Vale but instead taken Adam Wharton off and go 4-4-2. I agree with taken Dack off and I was surprised Hedges went off cos I thought it would be Adam Wharton. You say 4th loss in 5 or you could look at it as I do 4 wins in 8 league games, but I guess it all depends at how you look at the situation I will post what my team will be in the Wigan game thread shortly. which is totally wrong given we have 2 very good chances in the first 5 minutes, so you first comment is just wrong! Simple as Gav! Everything isn't rosy in the garden, and no one has said that including our head coach JDT who has repeating said since the start of the season we will have good and bad times as we go through this transition ph ase, but we have a plan and I think we get stronger and more consist as time go on in the season under JDT. Maybe you can't see that or don't want to see that. I don't hear any alarm bells from my seat in the Blackburn End cos I can see where JDT and GB want to move this club forward so maybe try to understand the project that is happening here. -

Should we start a January transfer window already? Looks like Rovers are already line up a replacement for BBD and are looking at Sunderland's striker Ross Stewart who is out of contract in summer 2023. He hasn't signed a new contract at Sunderland yet and Rovers have the wages to offer for him the sort of contract. Blackburn plot transfer swoop for Sunderland’s Ross Stewart if in-demand Ben Brereton Diaz leaves in January window | The Sun He would be very good signing if it happens -

My summary is fair and explained the game I has saw it. If you disagree with my summary that is fine by me but I am not going to single any player for any particular criticism tonight. I have already explained what I said he did well just like his Blackpool game performance. His link up is decent enough, played one good pass and some good overall touches, plus his movement. Should have done better with his chance. If you disagree that fine by me just like I completely disagree with comments about Hirst performance Off the pace from the final whistle despite us creating a chance in the first few minutes of the game. Another comment that is wrong -

Vale had an impact on the game, some good link up play tonight and shown again why JDT likes him. Markanday isn't a number 9 striker, is he? -

Just got back from the game and I am disappointed with the result and performances today. we started the game well and should have scored in the opening 5 minutes with Dack and Hedges shots, but Bristol City came in the game and created a few good chances. Rovers just couldn't get going and we lack tempo and bite today in the first half. Hirst had a great chance to scored but didn't. Bristol City took a deserved lead after catching us on the counter. Second half we made 2 changes and started ok but then Bristol City caught us on the counter again with another goal. Dolan scored and it was good ball by Edun to Dolan who scored the goal. Good finish by him. Then we again shot ourselves by conceded again. Rovers kept going and scored again from Good pass by Dolan and Brereton-Diaz did the rest. Shamed we did keep at 2-1 for more than we did cos it could have different game. Hirst had a decent game with a couple of good runs, put himself about and had a great chance to score. I was surprised he was taken off when he was, and I would have taken Adam Wharton off for Vale and gone 2 up front with Buckley and Morton in centre midfield. Vale, Edun Dolan and Buckley had an impacted on the game. Dolan scored a goal and assist today. Vale's movement and link up play helped the team. Buckley can spot a pass. Edun won the ball back and set Dolan up for his goal. I thought Hyam shown why we signed despite us conceding 3 and losing. Bristol City front 3 used their clever movement and runs to exposed our back 4 and get down the side/gap between the Full back and centre back. They deserved the win. Rovers kept going and fighting to the last minute and not the result I wanted but we moved to the next game and lets go and beat Wigan next Saturday. Onwards and upwards. JDT's Blue and White Army 🔵⚪ Was it Dolan fault it didn't or down to the head coach then? -

Yes. I would Start Hirst today but if Dolan start there then I would have no problem with it cos he can press the ball high and highlighted games where it works.
