  1. Awful start by us. We need weather this Good piece by Gallagher then.
  2. Come on Rovers, lets get a positive result 🔵⚪
  3. Didn't I name you Steve Cooper. Another one Steven Gerrard. Some do some don't. Maybe more now 10 or 15 years ago. Just look at coaching methods Gerrard had at Villa. Where he has coaches specialise in working with defenders or midfielders or strikers. Everytime we see the same old names like Warnock or Hughton or McCarthy for example to replace Mowbray. It's time we moved on from this type of names and look for younger manager who has had some success in his career and will develop young players as this one of key area of the club.
  4. Farke has got a new job in Russia. Of course plenty of Championship managers has some sort of failure on their CV. But if you look at what I said I want I want a manager/head coach who is training ground coaches who has modern ideas and good tactical. Steve Cooper would be ideal man but no ain't leaving Forest to come here. There is a few I would look at out there.
  5. Why Hughton? Lost his last job at Forest? He was disaster. Cooper has gone there and get them in promotion chase Jokanovic was awful at Sheffield United and wasn't able to get tune out of the players or a formation that suits the players. Heckingbottom has turned it around there and get them in promotion chase. So why them? There is a few managers I would be looking at. But those 2 wouldn't be on my shortlist for sure
  6. I guess some floating fans will look on here but you do make alot of decent points there. I just hope some fans who aren't ST holders can make a short term commitment to 5 games over 7 weeks period. We will see how this work out for the club
  7. Hughton is yesterday man with out of date tactics and ideas. Just look at the improvement under Cooper with the roughly the same squad. Jokanovic sacked at Sheffield United and couldn't get the players playing for him. I would rather go for manager/head coach who has new modern ideas, training ground coach and some sort of promotion success.
  8. Lets see how the rest of the season goes first and where we finish should decide his future, If we finish top 2 and get promotion then of course he should get a new contract. Same if we top 6 with or without Promotion. What type of contract should he get I would say either 12 months rolling contract or 2 years contract Just look how much of mess the club was in when Mowbray took over from Coyle. Just got to listen to Elliott Bennett and Danny Graham interviews on Rovers chat to realise this. Also look at how He has build a proper recruitement and scouting department now something we haven't had properly since Allardyce was here, Venkys like a face to face meeting with managers
  9. GK - Friedel Def - Samba Def - Warnock Mid - Dunn Mid - Atkins St - Jansen subs - Hendry, MGP, Roberts
  10. Tony Mowbray will travel to India to meet owners Venky’s to discuss his long-term future in the summer as the manager today marks five years in the job. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19941645.blackburn-rovers-tony-mowbray-set-venkys-contract-talks/
  11. Massively when he arrived at the club. Look at the mess Coyle did here
  12. very correct. Ben Benson told myself that the Rovers and Millwall players to play the game? If the pitch was so unfit then why did Rovers GK's do a warm up on the pitch?
  13. On the big rebuilding job in summer, Whichever league you are in its will big and costly. Plus will Dyche stay? what happens with the ownership? Hopefully you already have a recruitment plan in place for summer.
  14. I've posted what Ben Benson said to me. Also posted what Steve Waggott and Tony Mowbray said to media Another poster posted what Scott Wharton said. Plus another posted what the ground staff said before the game. Plus Rovers goalkeepers did a full warm up on the pitch after it was called off. Surely if it was unfit to play on would Mowbray allow his goalkeepers to do a full warm up on it. How much more do you want? What evidence have you got that the pitch was unfit to play on? Given 2.45pm the ground was in Sunshine for over hour and half surely the game should have gone ahead? Also surely Rovers groundstaff are the pitch experts?
  15. Whilst Bielsa has done a good job there, is these injuries issues down to training methods?
  16. A fantastic Final Five! | rovers.co.uk Good fair price for people for the last 5 games. The Rovers players need your support for the final run in and you might just watch us get Automatic Promotion The Bournemouth home game could be the game that we get automatic promotion. COYB!
  17. What do people think of Collingwood being interim head coach for test series in West Indies? Strauss's biggest decision is to appoint permanent director of cricket? Not much leaking out about his search but I wouldn't be surprise if we appoint Alec Stewart or Paul Farbrace in that role. Then we have 3 positions(Chief selector role, test head coach and ODI/twenty20 head coach) to fill and sort Root's test captaincy future.
  18. Looks good on Match of the day. Whether January is the good time to strengthen or not, Burnley need 3 or 4 signings surely. Plus given that you had 20 million pounds plus to spend and surely the club and Dyche should have strengthen more? Plus looking at your potential squad for next season surely some investment in signing younger players for next season could have happen?
  19. I was talking about the Home game against PNE on the 4th of December. Guys, I was talking about the Preston home game on the 4th December at Ewood Park which was played in worst conditions than Saturday pitch. The pitch was totally playable as the Rovers ground staff, Both clubs CEO, managers and players. I have seen worst pitches being played on league 1 and 2 level even Conferfence north level.
  20. The pitch was more than playable. All back up by the ground staff, Both clubs CEO, managers and players all said the game should have gone ahead. We have seen worst pitches than the Saturday one at Ewood Park over this season and the last 30 years. The only person to blame is the ref to be honest. No JH, you want to keep blame the club for the pitch not being playable when every body wanted to play it and thought the pitch was more than playable. Look at Scott Wharton's comments that Darrenrovers posted. That pitch was not unplayable and it was then how did the PNE game go ahead. I've not bother about other teams getting their games on and who didn't. I am bother about Rovers. You are obsess with blaming Rovers staff and the owners at every time you can. I don't and won't unlike its necessary
