  1. i have never mention a big lump or a poacher in my post. So you are being pedantic by keep mentioning it when I am talking and discussing how any new forwards need to be able to fit into how we play and the work rate, defensive duties they need to be able to do to fit into our front 2. We don't play as front 2 as normal as other clubs are doing but play wider in our 3-5-2 than QPR or Boro o Stoke do.
  2. he won 10 games out of 26 games in charge there. Hardly anything to write home about But my point still stands that fans would be very unhappy if you were appoint a new manager from a club at the bottom of the league regardless of the job he has done there
  3. because if you want main striker signing then we need a change formation to play them. We play our front 2 very different to how other teams played a front 2 in 3-5-2 like Boro or Stoke do so we need a forward who would fit into how we play our forwards. Our forwards have defensively duties to do
  4. That's was a Cup game not a league game. I comment on Boro being solid and good defensive but not us who have been in great form, keeping clean sheets and playing well
  5. Thats your opinion but I don't see Everton appoint him and would you employ a manager who has his club bottom of the league?
  6. Where did I say it only has been those 2 but its the 2 strikers we have been linked to recently. Did you know our budget for this window? Where does a Solanke type striker fit into how Mowbray plays his 2 up front in the 3-5-2 formation we are currently playing and surely the only way this type of striker would suit us is in 4-3-3 formation?
  7. Dyche going to Everton? I can't see the Everton fans likely that one one bit or at all likely. He was mention before Allardyce was appointed and the fans didn't want him then so why now?
  8. Haven't we keep 7 clean sheets in 9 games? only conceded in 3 goals in nine games?
  9. With Brereton away on international duty and very unlike to back in the country until Monday 31st January I would suggest a deal is unlikely. Plus why would West Ham play that sort of money for a back up player Depends who the manager/head coach is next summer and how we are going to play. 2 interesting names mention and I needed to google them. I'm not sure they meet the Work Permit rules but I do agree that we should have plenty of options if we have money to spend. I like Maja as a number 9 striker and would like him here if we actually played with a proper number 9
  10. I don't know why he was so poor last night but someone has suggest why he was so poor yesterday
  11. quite possibly but they were making bids supposedly for players before Wood sale. It was reported they were bidding for Hume at Sunderland
  12. I would play Lenihan at right back in a back 4 but not as wing back if needs must. But he is centre back and he is playing well there I was in favour changing formation yesterday 60 mins into the game. We need an extra midfielder on
  13. Khadra is right foot Tyrone. I would drop Gallagher and I wouldn't play Nyambe. I would give Zeefuik the chance to impress
  14. I believe Mowbray or someone on the coaching staff attend the under23 games
  15. Carter to play right wing back?
  16. Yes I know that But given they haven't made a signing in this window given they need signings to survive. I think they have been disagreement between Dyche and the board over funding or who to sign or the approach going forward.
  17. How would people set up their team for this game? Boro play 3-5-2 formation under Wilder. I would chose this team and formation Kaminski Lenihan Van Hecke Wharton ZeeFuik Travis Rothwell Edun Buckley Markanday Khadra Subs:- Pears Ayala Nyambe Davenport Johnson Gallagher Dolan or Butterworth
  18. We have enough big and tall players to cope without Gallagher and Brereton.
  19. Not at all. So by your opinion would Maja or Healey be able to play the role and how we play our strikers well enough as Khadra and Brereton have? Given that both are main centre strikers and IMO wouldn't fit how we play our strikers. I think we need to change formation like last night when we need an extra midfielder and should have taken off Rankin Costello off. Travis should be back and fit. What was the illness? But if he not fit then play Davenport. no! tell them to come back in the summer if we don't get promote. I think if Gallagher and Brereton played you need a pacey centre player like Dolan like we had at the start of the season when we beat Swansea and Cardiff. But if Brereton is playing as the centre player with Gallagher on the right it won't work.
  20. Surely Dyche had players he wanted before Wood left and I do wonder why you haven't sign one player yet. is the club ownership and how the deal is finance playing a major part in you unable to sign anyone yet? Also Dyche is second favourite to sack on the next manager to leave a PL club? starting to wonder if they have been a falling out behind the scenes there between Dyche and the ownership/board?
  21. anyone been watching the Under 19' cricket world cup?
  22. Burnley have been linked with Chris Basham aged 33 I am very surprised they have not sign anyone yet. I starting to think they will sign no one this window
  23. I would like to see sign a defensive midfielder who can tackle in the next 11 days of the transfer window. On Healey or Maja(or other potential names) is would a proper centre striker actually fit into our side or would we be better changing formation to 4-3-3 for example and bring in a proper centre striker. Its an interesting debate and questions to be answers. Yes I have enjoyed watching us defending properly and keep 7 clean sheets in 8 games prior to last night game but I do feel that last night in the second half we should have change formation and gone 4-3-3. But we don't play with a proper striker/number 9 type in the formation we have been playing until last night which has produce 26 points from 10 games prior to the Hull game. The Rovers academy is important to the club and we need to continue to produce and bring through our own players from the Academy.
  24. I am hoping that we can make a centre midfielder signing before the deadline closes. No idea on Hedges whether he would be good signing or how he would fit into the team if we can closing in on him as a signing
