  1. Chris Sutton on Mowbray and the job he has done here Former Blackburn Rovers hero issues verdict on Tony Mowbray's tenure following Coventry City draw - LancsLive "I think Blackburn's best chance of promotion is getting in the play-offs this season," Sutton stated on the 606 call-in. "I know there have been dissenters regarding Tony Mowbray within the fanbase. "He's been there a long time and some fans have been questioning the job that he's been doing. "I have to say, on the whole, I think he's done a pretty extraordinary job.
  2. RoversClitheroe, If you want to not believe what posters have posted on here thats fine and but I don't believe any Rovers fan would posted false info. I rejected what Mercer is posting cos he has been posting this rumour for the past 10 months and nothing has happened. Which way is Alex Neil coming to Ewood Park? Also over the years he has posted about a "tipping point" which yet again has never happened.
  3. Good lets see it from yourself
  4. Mowbray explained why he went 3 at the back Blackburn Rovers' formation switch & subs explained by Mowbray | Lancashire Telegraph
  5. Well Saturday performance and the fans reaction to the game they were poor performance wise and should have lost
  6. Bennett was always leaving to move back closer to home and to have more time with his family. Yes we do come at things very different angles or way. But you are wrong on the party line cos I disagree with something I posted on here, email the club or sign a petition. I posted on here that I was completely and utterly against selling Brockhall or even moving any part of training ground away from its current location. Plus signed Rev's petition. I remember when a few posters complained on here about litter outside the Ewood Park grounds and area. I emailed Lysney Talbot at Rovers and emailed Blackburn with Darwen Council about it. Posted that I felt Rovers should have done much better with season tickets and match day tickets prices. So it's far from towing the club's party line. FFP rules are clear and threshold is 39 millions pounds in losses allowed. How is that not right?
  7. Rovers should be looking at John Souttar from Hearts. Out of contract this summer. Someone I mentioned us signing 2 years ago but doubted whether we could afford the fee involved. Could get him in January if we sell Lenihan due to he won't sign a new contract
  8. If what true? The FFP rules are clear from the FL. Or Maja loan deal with a view to permanent deal?
  9. We don't know what the impact Maja would have had here. Maybe Brereton wouldn't have score as much. who knows. Maja was coming in on loan deal with a view to permanent deal next season when we lose the first championship season spending where we signed Armstrong, Brereton, Davenport and Rothwell Allowing us to spend money plus some of the Brereton money. We couldn't spend the Armstrong money due to FFP rules.
  10. I see new contracts for Buckley, Wharton, Dolan, JRC and Carter has key part for the future of our club as I see them being key players/main part of the squad in the coming years. You may not but I do. You keep saying that about Dack but there is zero suggestion from anyone else this is the case. Bennett wasn't offered new terms by the club and was always moving on. And to closer to home based where he lives in midlands and spend more time with his family. But we have discussed this all before JH so we are just repeating the same arguments again. another conspiracy theory from you. We can't keep having a wage bill so high above the club turnover and run such huge losses each and every season. Rothwell has had interested from Rangers according to the media. Plus they are within their rights to test the free market and not sign new deal and look for a new challenge with a new club. And I would say the continuously posting from yourself that Rovers haven't done this or done this without any evidence is very frustrate to see you post time after time. like the one above.
  11. 12. Given that we are already over the 39 million pounds threshold over 3 season means we couldn't spend the Armstrong;s money but that has to used to cover the losses we have. What players was ready to sign?
  13. You can keep ignoring FFP time after time JH if you want. You have admitted on here that you aren't bothered if we end in embargo but you haven't realised what would if we were embargo. We have offered these 3 players new improve contracts and its up to them whether they sign the contract or twist and move on.
  14. well thats will be on 21/22 season accounts which will be done at the end of the season. Plus around 5 to 6 million pounds went to Newcastle so we only actually received 9 to 10 million pounds above what we paid for him. Plus didn't Edun signed for 500k not 100k
  15. Mowbray should have been fully aware of where we were as a club in terms of FFP and if he wasn't then its his fault and maybe he thought he wouldn't be here as manager this past summer so took no interest, Armstrong was always leaving the club this summer. I thought you support and agreed with the decision to release players like Evans, Bennett, Holtby, Bell and Downing. I agreed with decisions to release the lot and get rid of them. Allowed our younger players into the 25 man squad this season.
  16. Evidence? just look at the accounts for the last 3 years and the losses from them overall is more than the permit 39 million pounds over 3 seasons. I don't need the club to tell me about FFP as I know what the rules are and how much we are allowed to spend the allocated time. Here is the picture from the club accounts for the last 3 financial years on company house website which put us above the permit amount of 39 million pounds allowed.
  17. You know why we couldn't spend much money this summer cos we have to meet FFP rules and you just don't want to understand that or won't. Mowbray has been financial backed for 3 seasons before this season. Last season Mowbray had around 30 players in last season squad and he couldn't delivered Promotion. Yes this season the wage budget has been cut but given the past 3 seasons budget he can not complained one bit
  18. You have constantly posted all summer and all season so far that you are worried where the goals are coming from but yet again yesterday the players step up and scored the goals. I would be more worried defensively and us keeping clean sheets. Brereton and Gallagher have replaced Armstrong goals so far. So thats no a worried for me. All the players we released this summer and clear the deadwood was the correct decision. On Edun, I don't see as back up left back but challenging for the left back spot or left midfield spot. On Recruitment side, Mowbray should have been fully aware where we were in terms of FFP even if we sold Armstrong. If he wasn't then thats down to himself and the staff. Plenty of fans on here were. Mowbray has been fully backed for the past 3 seasons and can have zero complaints about his budget. On the players signings, Yes Poveda and Clarkson haven't performed well enough so far and I would look at their loan deals if they continue not to perform in January and send them back to their parent clubs. Khadra has had some good bits of play as a sub but he need to start games shortly. Edun has been performed well enough. Van Hecke has had 1 game so lets write him off so quickly
  19. ok thanks. Not somewhere I go pre, during and post match time so wouldn't know.
  20. The new Newcastle owners got a dose of football reality and what the PL is all about. Doesn't matter how much money you got if you haven't got the right and proper footballing structure in place and don't listen to agents in the game., Newcastle owners need to put in place a proper football structure and appoint a new CEO, Sporting Director and head coach. They don't need a big name head coach but I think they would be better appointed a head coach who knows they PL and someone who can work within the budget they will have and develop young players. Same with the recruitment there. It will be very interesting who they appoint for these key positions in the coming days
  21. well they played Fulham away on Wednesday and home to Boro on Saturday. Both live on Sky
  22. We did recruit properly in the summer and we signed 5 players. Yes 2 of loan players haven't played in well enough so far and Van Hecke has played 1 game and did ok. Khadra has looked the best of the loan signings. I don't see the problem in playing different formations and playing them depending on who we facing.. Like I said playing 3 at the back wasn't the problem why we conceded 2 goals yesterday or the reason we played so poorly.
  23. Thats why I have to disagree to a point cos it depends on their reasons why they won't re-sign here. if they have interest from clubs playing in a different country maybe they fancy a new challenge if the case of Rothwell or Nyambe I have already accepted that Brereton wont be here next season and will move to a PL or Spanish top tier club and could you stop that happening really. I hope that the club is having contract discussions with Travis and Kaminski about new contracts aswell
