Summer transfer window 2021.
chaddyrovers replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Rovers interested Hearts centre back John Souttar who is out of contract this summer 2022. https://the72.co.uk/252849/stoke-city-and-blackburn-rovers-interested-in-hearts-defender-john-souttar/ Souttar is a good player and someone I've rated for a while. Think he would be good signing here. -

no we didn't cos we didn't over spend in this summer window that would have put Rovers into another embargo. We still some money left to bring in a new striker in January. Well the EFL have to approve every deal, no loan fees can be paid and you are limited to 10k a week in wages. Plus no transfer fees can be paid. Meaning we wouldn't have signed Edun from Lincoln. Just look at Derby's summer signings cos they were in embargo and you would be happy with them. Tell me alot. Even when you look this summer free transfer/out of contract signings clubs made they weren't great quality in my opinion apart from a couple of players like Sonny Bradley and Ryan Woods. Rovers have to be more financial sensible and smarter in the transfer markets where we find these gems of players in the markets we are looking in. Given John Park's scouting and recruitment experience and knowledge should be able to find these players along with the rest of the scouts and recruitment analysis staff -
well of course they will be allowed. Plus don't forget who negotiation the buying of the club and has worked with PFI group for years is a woman in Amanda Staveley who I believe will run the club in a director role

did you take this stance when Kean or Coyle was Rovers manager? and do you feel a connect to AFC Darwen now? -
Sam Burns is bang in form and for me should be on the bench for the Coventry game if Gallagher isn't available and Brereton isn't back in time and cant be on the bench. Always like the look of him from the first game I've watched him played for under 16's

fallen for what? where you at the Blackpool away game and how did he ignore the fans at Blackpool? Is this based that he didn't come over to the fans at the end of the game. if so I don't see it as problem as the players came over and 2 players gave the shirts to the fans. And in fact in the last minutes of the game the Rovers fans were singing Tony Mowbray's Blue and White Army. Allardyce or Hughes never used to come to the fans at end of the game but didn't see you complaining then. It was the best atmosphere this season and speaking to a few Blackpool work friends after the game who said it was good game and we deserved a point from that game. Plus our fans were fantastic at the game. agreed there

On 18 December 2015, it was announced that a new deal had been signed with American investors Josh Harris and David Blitzer.[104] The club stated that Steve Parish would continue as chairman alongside Harris and Blitzer as general partners in a new structure, and that Browett, Long and Hosking would also retain a substantial investment. The company accounts later showed that the ownership figures were: Steve Parish 18%, Steve Browett 5%, Jeremy Hosking 5% and Martin Long 2.5% with the remainder being owned by Palace Holdco LP (a limited partnership registered in Delaware) 67.5% and Palace Parallel LLC (a company also registered in Delaware) 1.5%. Both Palace Holdco and Palace Parallel have 180 preference shares each. As the Delaware companies do not have to reveal their owners, the exact ownership of the club is therefore unknown, but Steve Parish did confirm that each of Harris and Blitzer had an 18% share to match his own. In August 2021 John Textor, another American investor, joined as a fourth partner with an investment of £87.5 million. Crystal Palace F.C. - Wikipedia

Newcastle won't attract a top quality head coach or top players at this stage. I seen that Ex Liverpool scout, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Rangers director of football Frank McParland has been advising the Newcastle owners and looks set for role behind the scenes there. They have been linked with Brighton's Graham Potter to become head coach and James Tarkowski from the dingles. It will be there an interesting new few months for the new Newcastle owners, players, staff and fans there for them.

sadly I think you are right he will leave us. that day will be massive disappointment for me cos I think he is key player and someone I've always been a fan of his from day 1 like yourself. I think he is now playing his proper position and he is enjoying playing there from what I told -

well every fan is entitled to their view just like you JH. And you wanted to keep spending and go into an embargo if memory serves me right. Rovers have to be careful this summer in terms of spending and not going to into embargo this season. Then next season we will be able to spend some money after we lose season 1 spending where we spend 9 to 10 million pounds. -

It will be very interesting when Bruce is replace as manager. It could be within the next couple of weeks and it appears that they don't have anyone line up. The owners don't need to be listening to any agents who can offer this and that. One of the smartest thing they could do is bring in a experience director of football like Les Ferdinand from QPR or Ross Wilson from Rangers for example and allow him to be part of recruiting their next manager/head coach first -

Summer transfer window 2021.

Rothwell has been playing the centre midfield this season and has been playing well in all honest. He has been one of the reasons where we have 16 points,. Plus playing that role he has to do the defensive side of the game and he has played his part in our defence being good apart from the 2 last 2 games. -

Delighted for him and he deserved it after last month performances and goals.

what a load of tosh Gav. Rovers have offered these players new improve contracts. Rothwell link to Rangers was first reported on Sunday Morning Gav. 4 days ago Most clubs have cut back financially this season and just look at how many non relegation teams bought players for money? not many. The vast majority of transfers this summer where loans and free transfers. How are you going to get rid of them Gav? Thanks for sharing there and hope this does work out. Can I ask if you are part of this @darrenrovergroup or on your own/different group? Says Who? Who would you wanted on a free transfer? Can you provided me with a list of these great free transfers we would have signed then @Gav? There is only a couple of players on the free market I would want here. Rest weren't going to improve us. -

I agree there Pete. Good offer by the club and trying to get the fans back. I would have like to see next Saturday home game against Coventry match prices drop to 15 pounds game for all areas and try to get fans back within Ewood Park for this game. -

Well without knowing what the improve contracts offers are to the players we don't how good the offer. I know Brereton's parents said he is signing an extension with us. I would imagine they will look at the market and what's about contract wise. They are playing first team football here regular and will be our key players in the squad. Dolan and Buckley are 1st team regulars now. What a very small wage? I was talking coaching staff wise. Barr went to Salford. Rush retired from football for family reasons. Last time I heard he was renovating houses and doing Plumbing courses. Harvey went to Sunderland as Head of Recruitment. We got Park in seems to have a good Cv on him -

Yes we have cut the wage bill this season but at the same time invested in our young players like Buckley, Dolan, Wharton being key players for us in the coming years. Was were wrong for clearing the deadwood Gav? They have been offered new improve contracts according to Waggott. How do you know they aren't decent offers to stay? We didn't sack him. Just not renewed his contract. Apart from Billy Barr going to Salford what other coaches have we lost to the lower leagues Gav? -
Well unless you are next to the dugout and can hear what Mowbray is saying and shouting I think you are being unfair to be honest. Different managers have different style of managing. Could we? I don't know who the owners want appoint and what Waggott would recommend if he is allow in the recruitment process.
