  1. If the Government want these tests they would get them and not support the football restart. Have you seen the article about possible wage limit coming into in football league?
  2. My mum and friends who are care workers got tested weeks ago even without symptoms. Even my dad could have got one cos of mum being a care worker. Has something change? Parking for patients at Blackburn hospital is free also.
  3. There is test available every day at Preston and Manchester test centres and home kits. So if people want a test they can get one. Again, I have already said previously if the government wanted the test kits they would have them already. The Government knows the PL need test kits to restart. So if the Government wanted them the PL wouldn't be talking about a restart. Of course there is. But Football hasnt took any of Government test kits, facilities and staff to get the kits? Plus if the government want the test kits the PL have got they would already got them!!!
  4. Football league clubs cant afford the test. That's clear so the EFL or FA will have fund them if needed next season. Championship clubs can. The PL are using private company to supply them. If the government and NHS want them they would have them already. But the government hasnt bought them Sorry Stuart, your figures are wrong. Each club has 80 tests per week over 2 different slots. So that's 1,600 test per week not 16,000 per week. It will probably be 16,000 by time the season has ended.
  5. Care workers can get tests every day. They can get home test kits which they can do themselves or go the test centre either at Preston or Manchester. My family and friends have all gone and been test who work in health and social care sector at least once. Blackburn Hospital has a test facility but it looks it just for staff at the hospital. Football went private to ensure that none of UK taxpayers money was used to fund their kits or use NHS resources. They arent using Government test kits, facilities or staff.
  6. They arent using Government test kits but buying them privately and using Priivate medical company I believe. Its will cost 5 mil for Champiònship clubs to complete the season. Cost each club 210k for test kits.
  7. All players tested over the weekend. Results in Monday.
  8. Well do you have any info that says we haven't been after McLaughlin for months? This is exactly why I don't want to get into any sort of debate with you about his experience and quality cos of those comments. I wonder how often you seen him live. Probably not many. Like Myself. I seen a few games of him. You were suggest Adam Davies was a good signing for Stoke and we should have sign him. Well we don't know when we will be attending another football game. It could be September or October time. It could be December time. Who knows.
  9. Well we have been chasing him for months. We want an experience keeper and he fits the bill IMO. We have been through this before with about his performances already so I don't see the point in getting another debate with yourself again. Who knows who we will sign in the summer, Mowbray will have his plans and targets already. We don't know what Venkys intentions are. Imagine alot of the teams will be looking free transfers and loans. Suggest you look at today's comments that a Vaccine could be ready in September. Clearly you haven't seen those comments. So we might be able to get back to watching football in a stadium and normal life
  10. Rovers want to tie up a contract Sunderland Keeper Jon McLaughlin His contract ends next month and Rovers are keen to take him immediately. Mowbray sees the 32 year old shot stopper as number 1 next season and would like the deal done fast article in the Sun today
  11. 40 players and staff tested twice a week and other protocols set to be bought in.
  12. Why be so judgement and let's see where we are at the time. I have posted links to comments from 2 Oxford university professors and when it could be ready. I wasnt expecting to be in a football stadium anytime before Christmas. EFL Chairman Rick Parry and Rovers CEO Waggott has said dont expect fans in stadiums this year.
  13. Well you havent read the latest EFL statement saying that Championship clubs want to resume the season. League 1 clubs are split on resuming the season. Who knows if the vaccine will be ready in 3 months but that's what is the latest info from Oxford university. That's why the government has said they will provided the funds to mass produce the vaccine. We have given them 20 million pounds. I didnt say I would be rocking up at my GP's in 3 months times. NHS and social care staff should be 1st along with the Elderly as I said before on here!
  14. testing is happening righty now. Reports from this testing could be ready mid June. Look at Oxford University professor John Bell comments https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/coronavirus-vaccine-human-trial-results-oxford-university-a9513976.html https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/05/14/oxford-vaccine-trial-moves-hospitals-covid-19-prevalent-scientist/ Sarah Gilbert professor from Oxford University who running the search for a vaccine and the human tests. Said in April that it could be ready in September. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8209523/Oxford-expert-Coronavirus-vaccine-ready-September-80-likelihood-work.html
  15. You dont know if a vaccine will be ready in 3 months but you read the articles I've posted about the great progress made by Oxford university there is a major hope they will be ready by September. NHS and Social care staff should be 1st tho. PL are putting regular testing in place. You say the risk is too high but the 'R' rate is dropping. London's 'R' rate is 0.40 whilst North East/Yorkshire is 0.80. Plus it going to another month at least before clubs will be playing each other. but some players are training in training grounds already.
  16. League 2 top 3 are promoted and 4th to 7th to play playoffs.
  17. We don't know what will happen by next season. lets focus on getting this season done 1st and work out next season after. By the time of the start of next season we could have some sort of vaccine or treatment in place given the news coming out from Oxford University.
  18. Football in England: Government 'opens door for safe return in June' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52665805
  19. Well the German clubs have bought in protocol in terms of training. Well a number of safety protocols was bought into my work place before I was furlough done of these were Shutting the canteen down, food orders in by 8.30 and pick up by one person from each department at specific times, different deliveries protocols bought in, blocking off certain areas, 2 metre distance rules bought in, plus other things.
